That's why I said more. What comparison can you make? That one UND hockey game which featured the #7 and the #14 hockey teams in the country had more viewers than the other 23 games aired on one specific channel? It's great that UND was number one. But it tells us nothing more than that they beat out 23 games. The BU-UND game can be aired on NBCSN because it is not hosted at an NCHC school. Only home games at the 8 schools fall under the CBSSN contract. I'm guessing NBCSN is upset at the new deal as well and that's why they grabbed one of the bigger UND matchups as soon as possible.

UND looks excited! I'm liking the play so far other than Mackey's penalty and a few of Joe's mistakes. The receivers are drawing a lot of coverage downfield because Joe has been able to hit them fairly consistently. That opened up the underneath stuff for Miller's big run. It also left Miller wide open as the checkdown on the play Joe nearly threw a pick downfield. With the middle of the field open, he has to start looking to dump it off and let Miller use his speed to get the first down. Also, nice to see 3-4 UND tacklers in on nearly every play. Haven't seen much of that this year.

Love that our weapons are involved so far in the game be it as receivers or as special teams guys affecting where and how they kick. Very surprised how good this team looks today.

I am completely shocked that through all of this debate about the TV contact that you still haven't figured out the difference between national channels and regional channels aired nationally.

I was hoping to hear UNC was hosting the tourney this year! I'm going to have to clear out my schedule and make sure I'm able to go up to the tourney. Should be some great volleyball! Edit: Checking online, Portland State won the regular season last year so they will be hosting the postseason trouney. UNC won the postseason tournament last year.

Because the NCHC wanted 8 or more teams. When they didn't get Notre Dame, it left only group 2 teams available.

I'm not going to take the time to see if the numbers are available from FSN or the Big10 Network but just because UND had the most viewers on one channel doesn't mean they have more viewers than Minnesota and Wisconsin. UND had the most viewers on NBCSSN, a channel that aired zero Minnesota games. I agree that the UND/Minnesota game would get more viewers than a Wisconsin vs whomever game. However, I would bet most Minnesota games will have more viewers than Wisconsin games. Minnesota is a hockey school, Wisconsin does very well with attendance usually, but that doesn't always translate into viewers. The CBSSN agreement is a bad deal for UND. The exclusivity clause is the part that wrecks it for UND the most. The rest of the deal is actually pretty good for UND and the conference.

Wish they could have taken it in 3 sets. Great job by the ladies to break all three match point opportunities for PSU and then finish it out on their first match point opportunity. Does the conference winner host the post-season tournament?
