I'm fine with the dump and chase and long as we continue to cycle the puck down low. Dump and chase is a chance to get the puck into the corner where our bigger bodies can fight for possession. It takes at least one defender away from the front of the net. During the Blais years, we would cycle the puck for entire shifts at a time and by the third period, the other team didn't want to go into the corner to get the puck. I like that Hakstol gets the pucks into the corners. The cycling last night was incredible at times and payed dividends in the third.

I agree that UND is a mover and a shaker in the league but that doesn't mean they overrule everyone else. How happy would people have been had Minnesota and Wisconsin received more preferntial treatment in the old WCHA? Who would have been happy if those two big schools were able to dictate to the other schools how TV would work? Why is the situation different for UND in the NCHC?

Totally agree about the Fox Regionals thing. And I think everyone who works at Midco feels the same way. They know they're not FOX Regionals. They don't have the national programming options that FOX Regionals do. Right now, they're a cable company that has it's own sports network that is growing. It's improving each month, but it's got a ways to go. There are three full time people in the Grand Forks office and it's probably pretty similar in their South Dakota offices. You're not going to run something like FOX Sports with that few people. However, until they start making more money from their broadcasts, they can't afford to hire more people. Your second point is why I'm not so sure it is Midco that is the problem. I don't know how Neulion pulls the feed from Midco but I do know how AmericaOne does. They have a computer at each site that the video feed hooks into and then sends the signal back to AmericaOne servers. I have to think that Neulion does it the same way. Seeing the HD feed so well from Neulion last night makes me believe it's not something on Midco or UND's end. There are really only two parts and those two parts are exactly the same for everyone... The Midco feed to the streaming computer and the streaming signal to the Neulion servers. The things that are different for everyone is what they are pulling from the Neulion servers and their own computer setups. I don't know why AmericaOne streams so much better than Neulion for some people. AmericaOne doesn't have nearly the amount of traffic that Neulion does so that could be part of the issue. For me, none of the AmericaOne feeds have come close to what I saw last night through Neulion. But for others, that's an issue and I'm not sure why.

Have we ever won a national championship since you started posting here? ooohhhh!!! I know why we can't win! Maybe if you left things would turn around. Worth a try?

I'm not blind. I agree it was a bad deal for UND hockey. But it wasn't just UNDs decision to make. That is where you're blind.

My guess is that 99% of fans don't realize UND doesn't own the REA. Doing a big check donation thing like that would raise some eyebrows no matter how big the amount is.

I'm excited. I'm really thankful we are in a conference that streams all home volleyball, basketball and football games online. Makes it really easy to watch from Colorado. This is the first time I've made it a point to be home so I could watch the volleyball team play. Looking forward to a 3-0 sweep!

Does anyone know if Faison voted for this deal? Are we all assuming the CBSSN deal was a unanimous decision? I imagine, just like every other conference... Majority rules. That's a big reason why UND left the WCHA, very soon the big schools would be a minority in the league. I believe Faison isn't a fan of the new tv deal but it's something he couldn't control. What he can control is increasing the ways to watch UND hockey outside of National TV. That is being done with iPhone, iPad, Android streaming in HD and through an HD broadcast in cities throughout four states.

I'm going to give the refs a break. They have, at most, reffed one game this year prior to tonight. They will get into the swing of things. I'm sure there was a lot of pressure from Adam to call things tight. We will see if they start to get a better sense of exactly how strict to call things in the next couple weeks.

That still doesn't explain why it works great for some and not for others. I honestly don't know why it's not working for some. I've never had issues with Neulion no matter where I'm watching... Home, work or at a hotel

I wonder why some people are having issues with the stream and for others (like me) haven't had any problems at all. I don't see how that can be a Neulion issue if it works perfectly for some.

Try downloading Firefox or Chrome. They generally work better than Internet Explorer.
