  1. I never said they did. This jersey probably won't sell well with girls who don't like pink but I'm guessing by including pink they aren't going for that demographic...
  2. I think had they done the pink shoulders it would sell a few more with the ladies. It looks like an awkward, but ok, attempt at just adding pink.
  3. I'm sorry for opening the can of worms again. I posted at 1 am so likely a drink or two in that night. It was an attempted preemptive strike as it seems every few months, people rehash the same info over and over. I want UND hockey on TV all the time. I understand the frustrations but I believe UND is doing everything possible to improve the feed. Shoot Jayson an email or PM about Roku option. I would gladly drop $100 for that choice.
  4. It is highly unlikely that any program or service willl send any UND sports to your TV. It is going to be something where you hook up a computer to your TV to watch the hockey games. To everyone else compaining aobut this... get over it. It sucks, its going to last for at least a year. Express your frustration to the ahtletic department and the NCHC but realize this is not a UND decision. Don't freak out if the first game or two are not high quality. The first UND football game was in SD and sucked. Game two, the video feed was great.
  5. Anyone know what day the new Opening Drive will be relased?
  6. You've just been waiting for years for the perfect opportunity to let everyone know about being a college athlete

Even Payton Manning has losing seasons
  8. When they came to Air Force they were on the hill. Of course it's on the campus but it's just as much of a drive from there to the stadium. ESPN is looking for good backdrops and the fargodome is not that. If they came to Grand Forks, I wouldn't expect them to be at the Alerus Center... what is there to see? Same thing with the fargodome.

The skill players on offense are set for a couple years. We have some good defensive fr and rfr. But they're not good enough yet and I don't really have the faith in Mussman to get them there. UND has always been about the hogs. The skill guys are exciting but let's get some big boys in there too. No reason we can't have both.

I was at the UNC game last year. Our DBs were getting burned constantly and I turned to my less informed friends and said "meet Shavon Mackey. You'll hear his name a lot today when they say "mackey with the tackle at the two." Of course he gets burned constantly, but makes a pick late in the game. I swear the kid has the shortest memory ever because he was up in everyone's face about how great he was. Baseball players are considered successful with they do well 3/10's of the time. I doubt Mackey's numbers are even that good when it comes to stopping the pass.
  11. Holy crap... I never realized how bad things really are. I need to go become a fan of a new school because clearly very little good is happening in UND athletics. 1) Men's basketball was on the verge of upsetting Weber State in the Big Sky Tourney. 2) Men's hockey probably would have beat the eventual national champion had their starting goalie not been injured that morning. 3) Women's soccer has dominated NDSU this year. 4) Women's volleyball won their most recent tournament, including beating an undefeated team. 5) The IPF is underway and will have a huge recruiting impact for many sports 6) UND hockey has it's fittest team in 10 years according to coach Hakstol, who has made the NCAA tournament every year since becoming coach. 7) Women's basketball traveled to Canada to play exhibition games and their freshman played a significant role. The team looks way better than last year 8) Women's golf is setting UND records in performance. 9) Football has the best receiving core in the country. 10) All but one hockey home game is available online in HD this year. Name another school that can say that. All 7 home football games, 10 basketball games and 3 volleyball games are all televised and streamed online. 11) Brad Schlossman. 12) Our SID comes to the message board to interact with fans and explain the issues at hand. 13) Our top 5 sports play in buildings that UND did not pay to build. That has saved the school so much money and is allowing for so many more benefits. 14) UND is a school and these are STUDENT-athletes. Record number of students making honor roll and absolutely kicking ass in class. And not just cake classes. 15) I can wear my UND shirt any time I travel ( I live in Colorado) and I'm guaranteed to get at least one "Go Sioux" in every airport and have had the pleasure to enjoy free drinks on planes courtesy of UND graduates flying the plane. 16) We have the best fans ever. The end of the outdoor game at Omaha is a true testament to that.
  12. Haha, that's cute you think bison fans understand "facts." Welcome to siouxsports, where bison fans come to defend themselves even when nobody mentions them.

The big thing that stood out to me was how horrible our safeties were. I guess I'm used to the DBs letting guys run by them but when there is one receiver on the field and he burns both the DB and the safety for a TD something is seriously wrong. Just let Kuksa start blowing guys up 15 yards downfield. A penalty is better than a TD on every play, right?

    Fire Muss

I agree with FSSD that firing Muss now doesn't do a whole lot of good. Recruiting is going to suffer regardless because hopefully our coach next year isn't in the program right now. So let Muss and the assistants finish out the year. It's going to be rough. With some luck and growth throughout the year, they could eek out 7 wins and squeek into the expanded playoff field before being destroyed. There are a lot of injuries that definitely played a role. The biggest thing I noticed on Saturday was our secondary just let everyone run by them. That's not coaching, that's horrible DBs. I don't think Muss is the guy. I expected Faison to open up the checkbook for the next coach, as he has done for new coaches post-transition. I hope they finish with 6 wins but at the same time, if they do that then Muss may be back next year. Right now, I just want a win at Idaho State when I'm there in person.

Good thing the athletic dept has $200,000 coming from Midco each year...

  17. Oh yes, those external variables. Like over and under throwing receivers. You said Bartels didn't do any better... He attempted two passes. Hardin, the best receiver was on the sideline for both. We will never know how Ryan would have done in the first three quarters today. But Joe showed absolutely nothing that says the competition is over. Joe did many of the same things you criticized Ryan of last week.
  18. Did you watch the second and third drives? He had two good drives, the first and last of the half, and that's it. He also didn't show the elusive speed that's been talked about so much. He was able to set for a majority of those throws (it's his fault he was tossing off his back foot with his hips squared downfield) and he either tossed it 5-10 yards over a receiver's head or behind them. Of course you would stick with Joe. You named him the starter for 4 more years based off a quarter and a half against an SDSU defense that was playing off the receivers.
  19. About that... Joe missed way too many wide open receivers today to say anything is over.

I haven't seen anyone stick up for Mussman following this loss. But according to your previous posts, this loss is somehow due to losing the 2003 National Championship game. I don't see Mussman being fired during the year. Our coordinators are too new to promote mid-season. And while they may be UND guys, I don't think anyone in the system is ready to step up whether it is during or after the season. Best case scenario is 7 wins but that basically means winning out vs Idaho State and everyone two weeks after that game. I'm thinking more of a 5 win season, which is unacceptable. Faison has shown he will open up the checkbook for new head coaches who were not named as HCs before or during the transition. I think the salary will be very competitive and we have the talent and facilities to lure in a higher end HC.
  21. They had one WR in that formation and he got behind our secondary...
  22. This is why you don't declare a starter for the rest of the year based on a quarter and a half. At this point we need Bartels accuracy. Joe has a cannon but he is inaccurate.
  23. Mollberg with some pretty awful throws to wide open guys.
  24. Michigan State and Notre Dame is probably the highest profile one, but you know gameday will have at least one other game featuring ND so it's not necessary to do one next week.
  25. Alabama and A&M are playing right now. Gameday will be at NDSU next week. So no, that's not the reason. It more has to do with the fact that there are no ranked teams playing each other next week.
