Might have been the worst crowd for a UND game ever. Other than when we scored goals, there wasn't hardly a noise in the building. The current student section is particularly lame. If it wasn't for the tubas sticking up out of the crowd, you wouldn't know there even was a student section.

Gaudreau has the Hobey almost locked up. The kid has been unreal. -Averaging 2 points per game -22 goals in 25 games so far -Tack on 28 assists in those 25 games It doesn't hurt that he plays on a beast of a line, but he's the top guy on that top line on a top team in the country. I agree with yzerman...Dillon's been great for us, but outside of our little circle, who's really putting him in a realistic Hobey conversation.

Final Five was always a blast. Haven't done this whole NCHC Tourney at Target Center thing yet, so who knows...

This seems pretty simple. It states that he was offered a chance to play for UND over winter break. Landon only first committed to Quinnipiac early this month. Chambers ran with it because of the controversy he could stir about Landon possibly playing this coming weekend if he would have accepted our deal versus Qunnipiac's. But, to make the story more interesting, he leaves the part out where he wasn't committed anywhere until just a couple weeks ago. I don't see anything fishy on UND's/Hakstol's part.

It was a rating of "atmosphere" not quality of stadium. The Ralph, too often, is a library setting. People complain that the team isn't giving the fans anything to cheer about. Well, I'm under the impression that the fans should cheer on the team to get them going, not the team playing well to get the crowd going. I'm a big believer in Hakstol, but this is one area where I wish he'd speak up. Tom Crean did it when he went to coach Indiana, now their fan base has been rocking more and more since they've been there. I think Hak should try to do something to encourage the fans to be more raucous.

Miami gave up 3 short-handed goals over the weekend, losing both games to WMU by 1. Yikes.

I will call it a Circle of Sticks every week with a straight face....so long as we're seeing the circle of sticks.

I'm usually pretty lenient on Hammer...I don't give him a pass on everything, but it's challenging to be witty, insightful, and describe a fast-paced play on the fly. But, dang, "Circle of Sticks" is just absurdly funny and ridiculously embarrassing.

I'm not saying Bollinger wouldn't be a good HC candidate one day, but if he's near the top of the list as a prospective UND HC for next year, we're in big trouble.

EPS does exceptional work. I've been meaning to write a blog piece on their work using the 6 Sioux jerseys I've already sent them as examples (both Nike and Reebok). EPS does the actual work for the game-used team jerseys, and not only for the Sioux, a number of professional sports teams of different leagues as well (NHL, MLB). The downside is the turnaround time...especially if you catch them when they are busy.
