As promised, here's the next batch. I compromised and decided to put four up. Not all of them, but it gives you some options. Best offer by Sunday at 9pm Central gets 'em. All jerseys have never been worn other than tried on, were purchased from a private collector, and are in a new condition without tags. They come from a pet/smoke free home. Shipping is an additional $10. Keep in mind, if it doesn't sell, it's a missed opportunity. It goes back in the closet. Each of these jerseys is being sold separately.

I'm evil like that. Most of what I plan on selling is size large. The main reason I don't really want to throw them all up at once is because I have too much stuff going on to keep track of it all.

No offers. Goes back in the closet. Will post another tonight.

Thoughts after Omaha -- What the NCHC should change
Big A HG replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Men's Hockey
NCHC logo looks best in current color form. Team color patches look good in some instances, not in others. I prefer the current conference patch. If it was a wordmark as opposed to the entire shield logo, I'd probably favor the team colors. -
If I knew we wouldn't have to put up with Jeff Jackson or Notre Dame's constant whining and self-righteousness about everything, I'd be all for them coming to the NCHC. ASU could really end up just about anywhere. It makes sense for them to be in the NCHC when looking at a map, but going to AZ would be like a shorter version of going to Alaska. It's still a plane ride for every visiting team in the NCAA, so which conference wants their members to pony up for that is the answer. Does the brand name recognition of ASU add enough to offset those costs? Maybe, but I'm not so sure.

Alright, time to thin the herd. Closet is too full. Noticed some people looking for some jerseys, so thought it might be best to find them a new home. I don't have to move these jerseys, so if you don't agree with the price, you don't have to buy it. Everything comes from a smoke/pet free home. Here's how I'm going to do it, so everyone gets a fair crack at them. I'll post one jersey at a time. I'll pick an end-date two days away. The highest offer I get in two days gets it. I do have minimum number I would want to sell it for, which is posted. First up: 1986-87 - White - Size Medium Armpit to armpit: 26" Shoulder to bottom hem: 31" Like new condition, no tags. No customization to it, so it's a blank slate for you to have whomever you like to put on it. I will check replies, PM's, or my email for offers. Highest offer by 9:00pm (Central) on Tuesday, Feb, 10, 2015 gets it. If the post date or reply date is 9:01pm or later, sorry. I will also not guarantee an update on what the highest offer is at, as I do not have the ability to respond all the time. Minimum offer is $200 + $10 s/h (US only).

Watched Yon a few times this year. I like him. I've seen Cakebread over the last couple years and hasn't impressed me once for more than just a random shift or two out of a handful of games.

I have roughly 15 jerseys I'd entertain offers on...but am not actively looking to sell necessarily. Since I had a multiple people PM me about the one jersey I had, I may just offer them up to everybody so everyone has a fair chance. I'm not sure what the best way to do it is at this point. I think what I'll do is put one up at a time with what my starting offer is. To give everyone a fair chance, you can up the offer by $5 (or more). After two days, it's gone, and highest offer wins. Sound fair?

Have a white Medium, never worn.
-
One year, yes. It's kind of a "limbo" year, so to speak. Most reference it's ties to it being worn in the first year of The [new] Ralph.
-
That's correct, Gemini started the era of using the dazzle material, but most refer to those as "geo's".
-
The Sammy Sioux jerseys were the "diagonal" jerseys he's talking about. Like Siouxkid said, Nike's were often referred to as "dazzles".

If going through EPS... Pros: +$65 per jersey plus shipping to and from +Accurate numbering/lettering Cons: -Turnaround time is not good. Expect a month or two (or more if in peak season). They do individual custom orders as more of a courtesy than anything since they pay the bills by doing a number of pro and amateur teams' work each and every year. If going through REA... Pros: +All proceeds go to UND athletics. The Sioux Shop and Authentics are non-profit +Accurate numbering/lettering +Good turnaround time Cons: -Cost is more expensive I try to spend my money at REA whenever I can opposed to places like Scheels and other stores since the money is directly helping UND athletics. When considering the above pros and cons, I'd rather spend a little extra to have the work done through the Sioux Shop, but you are welcome to make your own decisions.

Winning 1 out of 10 is a pretty good clip, and a very reasonable goal to maintain at UND. I know I've said this before, and it's not going to change anyone's mind, but we are ahead of the game when it comes to winning. The Law of Averages plays a bit of a role in this. The bad news is, from a historical perspective, we were due for another drought. On the bright side, during this drought, we've still had a lot of secondary success to fall back on. It's not like we've been in the cellar trying to crawl back into the successful ranks of college hockey. The good news with the law of averages plays off of our short-term history, and it's the fact that we should have one coming soon. So, you have the long-term history fighting against our short-term history and it's just a matter of which one plays out. Chance of winning a Frozen Four...1 out of 4 or 25% (obviously) UND has won 7 titles in their 20 Frozen Four appearances...or 35% UND had won 7 of 14 appearances prior to Hakstol...50%!! (we were bound to slide back closer towards 25% as it was unrealistic to maintain a 50% winning percentage) If winning 1 out of every 10 titles is a good, yet reasonable clip (which I feel is very fair for a team like UND), we'd have 10% of all titles...or 6.7 titles (in a case like this, you can only round down as you can't get credit for more). UND has 7 championships, so we are still ahead of the game. Because we can't round down, we have 12 more years to win a championship to stay ahead of the curve. We've been very fortunate with our history, but times have changed and so should our expectations a little. On the short-term we are overdue for another championship, but on the long-term, we are doing just fine still. This is why everyone both wins and loses this argument every time. Hak is a fine coach who has put our team in many opportunities to win #8. He can't do it all, sometimes it's on the players, and the other team wants to win just as badly as we do, and we end up losing some games when we shouldn't.

Money unfortunately (and fortunately) doesn't buy titles. Hockey is a weird game. Long season yet boys and girls.

Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season
Big A HG replied to fightingsiouxfan86's topic in Men's Hockey
I'm trying to watch the Western Michigan game right now, which is supposed to be live. I get the little "loading swirl" (as I call it) on a black screen. I'm on a wired connection desktop PC with 100 mb/s down through Midco and have tried both Chrome and IE browsers. Still nothing. Thoughts? EDIT: Nevermind...WMU is having issues. Good start to the season I see. -
All of them.

You can do Chromecast from PC's and tablets as well. -
Having one for every TV in the house, I highly recommend Chromecasts. Your stream quality doesn't change with a Chromecast. It streams in the same quality as the device you are streaming from is capable of,or depending on what you are streaming, it will stream in native resolution. The only way you'd have buffering issues is if your router has a weak signal strength to your casting device and/or Chromecast (ie: your router is on the opposite of your house by a ways). Pretty much any average cable or DSL internet with decent router is more than enough. Chromecasts are designed for the masses and very easy to use.
