I know as a season ticket holder, I am really excited about the 1 nonconference game against DRAKE a nonscholarship program followed by Idaho St, Cal-Davis, UNC and MSU. Hell, they should just call the Big Sky and say they don't need home games. Lets just go on the road all the time. Its what we do at UND. Maybe if we clean the slate with them we can get some home games in 2020 or later. But, I would hate to inconvenience the conference like that...

Don't thank us - please send your warm regards to the man himself. I could use your help - please go troll Bubba/Faison Bubba's email - bubba.schweigert@athletics.und.edu Faison email - brian.faison@athletics.und.edu

Faison? - this is Bubba - he has not coached a game yet and he has already screwed it up - can't wait to see his gameday decision making.

Its called the Dayton rule - how many of the 124 really care about football? About 40 - check the budgets for football. The rest are looking for the cheapest why to play basketball.

Don't agree with this at all.... please do not sign this deal.

He has had 3 or 4 different deals on the table...

For UND to have a successful offense they really needed Bell and Stockwell contributing. I could be surprised - I am still looking forward to the first game.
-
I assume that we are going to see a lot of movement in the 2-deep.. surprises for me.. 1) DL - no Cheatom or Walker at NG boy they going to be light.. I hope that don't get pushed around up front too much. 2) LB - no Butler or Jenkins-Moore 3) OL - no Stockwell or Bell I think that it is going to be a long season.

Sensor's off of 494 and France in Bloomington

I just got my season tickets in the mail ready to go..

I believe that BF has talked about this recently and he stated that UND had a plan in place. If the P5 hockey schools go to full cost UND is going to follow. Fullerton also talked about full cost scholarships and that the Big Sky might be looking at supporting basketball at full cost or additional stipends.

Oh no, we have no control we have to play.. you have got to love a good part time conviction. If you believe in it then you fight for it.. otherwise it's just empty. which is what I think of when I think of the University of Minnesota. Only a good cause when its not too inconvenient..

Agreed, the craziest thing about all of this - in the upper midwest "your word is your bond". It is spoken of often in particular small town/rural Dakota's. Go ahead and try this in main street rural Dakota. See, how long you do business in that area. Yet, Taylor and NDSU have already broken this repeatedly changing the deal over and over again. This is so far removed from the culture of this area that you would think people in the media would start to call them out on this. But, yet it appears to be accepted behavior. I get the numerous NDSU trolls that hit this board not caring about there word - just read what they write. But, I have got to believe they are alienating some of the casual followers. I know that I was not happy about how UND conducted business in 2003 and I let it be know in 2003. In particular, about not moving up. But, were is main street North Dakota on this.. are they fine with how NDSU has broken there word (again, I get nothing was signed - so its not legal) but I was taught at an very early age if you made the verbal commitment - it meant action and follow through. Maybe I am just getting too old to understand.

Johnny Boy is just begging to get banned right now.. don't get it.

Of course one major difference - ONE SCHOOL WAS LEAVING THE CONFERENCE and PLAYING IN ANOTHER DIVISION
-
This and a original contract with a buyout of $10,000

Not sure about - Miami and W. Michigan for games as you said, but I would think that Denver would be interested in a home and home they are fairly regional. I think Omaha/KC/Vermillion/Brookings/Fargo would all be looking for home and home match ups.

No dog in the fight, but won't the P5 commissioners want more G5 or G conferences. Because, the cost of buying games for the P5s would go down (supply/demand). The cost of no-return G conference games has gone up significantly. The P5 conferences would lose nothing they have identified the pool of money for the G conferences.

When they start sending threatening letters to elected officials - then you can talk, but until then let them have there fun.. relax. If you want to clean up a message board start with BV, when you have that thing ship shape come on over.

I like that the NDSU game is on a Saturday. I might be able to travel for the game. UND tends to have the NDSU games during the week which makes it impossible to attend.

I wonder if there is much chatter between Sayler and Faison after the USD going MVFC/Summit vs Big Sky. I remember Saylor talking to the media about how UND and USD were paired together during the conference shuffle.

Miami IPF is going to be 90,000 sq ft SDSU IPF is going to be 150,000 sq ft UND IPF is going to be nearly 200,000 sq ft. UND's facility is going to be massive..

In a recent news article in the GFH - they had hockey accounting for $5.8 m in revenue and $4.2 m in expenses for a profit of $1.6 m for the rest of the athletic department. I am not sure what the not allocated number is but the REA is separate entity from the rest of UND's athletic budget. I believe profits from REA are funneled back into UND athletic department but I have no idea what those number are.. when the REA is rolled into UND budget you will see a sizable increase. I seriously doubt that over $10 m is going to hockey as I noted above $4.2 m for the mens team - last that I heard ladies hockey runs around $1.5/$1.7m - so, I think the number you are looking for is right around $5.5 to 6 m total for both m/w hockey. Overall, what people are getting at is that the top end of FCS is much more like Sun Belt/MAC than the SB/MAC is to the Big Ten. The average Big Sky school would need to increase spending by about $1m for basketball and $3m for football to complete at the FBS level. NOTE: Montana and Montana St are basically at those level right now. Conference - Basketball Avg Expense, Football Avg Expense Sun Belt - $1.8m - $6.1m Big Sky - $1.2m - $3.6m Big West - $1.6m - $3.3m MAC - $2.0m - $6.7m MW - $3.5 - $8.7m Summit - $1.2m - $3.1m Big Ten - $7.0m - $22.0m
