It's the start of our 3rd year on even footing.. if you wanted to be competitive earlier you should have moved the program back in 2003.

Actually, they do not start football in the Rocky Mt. until 2016. Black Hills State got in 2012. Apparently, Colorado Schools of Mines did not want another engineering only school in the conference. But, that changed earlier this year. Good thing because I am not sure how long they could handle being in the GNAC. I see that Rocky Mt has baseball. I always thought that SDSMT should have a baseball team. Lots of local talent, I would love to see it happen. One thing about SDSMT Title IX not much of problem. You a Raider or Cobbler.. I loved my time at the mine - that area is a blast.. For UND fans that don't know about O'Harra Stadium it is great.. I think that it is the only stadium of its type in the country. You can literally drive and park at the 50 yard line and watch the game. SDSU has not won a FBS game either and they appear to be going just fine and you are right two years into Big Sky, lets scrap it...it sucks they are too tough for us. Good grief people, give some time.

I saw Sumner go down, it looked odd. Hope he makes it back for the end of the season. The backup didn't look over matched and remember how Sumner took over.. that worked out OK. I hated hearing about Earl going down. I really thought that he played well at times last year and USD looked like it was going to get things going.. Looks like the Soph. Seager took over in the game. I guess they could move VanderMatten back to QB it kind of reminds me of the Hanson/Hendrickson situation UND has a couple of years again. Since, we talking about SD QB. I was shocked to see Montana's old QB is at SDSM&T - "former Montana starting quarterback Trent McKinney" is playing for the Schools of Mines. It sounds like they beat out - Mankato St and Central Washington in a recruiting battle. NOTE to all UND fans: SDSM&T had a good NAIA football program back in the early 80s but nothing since, we are talking about years of 1 or 2 wins a season. When I was in Rapid City I think they won 8 games in the 5 years.. The other thing that might be working in SDSM&T favor is Rapid City is looking to build a new $180 million dollar arena. I think the specs are for 19,000 in a football configuration. So, the Schools of Mines could be playing in the nicest facility in all of the Dakotas in 3 or 4 years. It was SDSM&T (SD Tech) and fact that you confused them with Black Hills State... well those are fighting words my friend. (I am a Hardrocker BS-ME 92)

UND can have a red circle for MSU, EWU or UM take your pick. You beat those three schools you are in line for home field through much of the playoffs.

No doubt that Crockett is a Big Ten talent that everyone knew about... the guy had so many red flags that Big Ten schools just walked away. No sure that I want him at UND..

Why give them the field position. You pin them deep. Play field position football. I didn't like the call.. You are kicking into the wind so it should help hold up the punt to allow coverage to pin it down. Up to that point the running game has shown no push your 31 and 22 personal got no push in the first 4 attempts - maybe a couple of yards. IMAO - I say punt.

OK, offense lets respond.. give the defense a chance to rest.

1) Not sure about going for it at the 40 - play field position football - pin them deep. Keep mo on your side of the ball. 2) Missed pick in endzone to take 6 off the board.. 3) Missed block on a bliz and QB makes a bad throw... in position for FG at worst case.. put 3 on the board. 4) Jump offside to extend a drive... SJSU 6 5) Chop block stalls a drive in SJSU territory .. could have been more than 3 points. Just keep working - UND can not make mistakes and win games right now. Just make the play in front of you. Now lets win the 3rd Qtr 7 to 0. could be 14 - 6 and of course it could be 28-3 or 24-3..
