Current Standings 1. Northern Colorado 5-1 Northern Arizona 5-1 3. Weber State 4-1 4. Montana State 4-2 5. Idaho State 3-2 6. North Dakota 3-3 7. Montana 2-4 Portland State 2-4 Eastern Washington 2-4 Sacramento State 2-4 Southern Utah 0-6 Who would have thought that Montana after three weeks would be sitting on the edge of the conference playoffs. It has been a crazy season and there are a number of great games this week. It is going to be a fun season. Game of the Week: *NAU (1) @ UNC (1) 60/40 UNC Battle for 1st place it looks like UNC is the favorite. I will have to watch the of end of this on Thursday night. This Week in the Big Sky Monday 1.20.14 ISU (5) @ WSU (3) +9.5 82/18 WSU Thursday 1.23.14 SUU (-) @ EWU (7) 69/31 EWU NAU (1) @ UNC (1) 60/40 UNC Sac (7) @ UND (6) 60/40 UND UM (7) @ ISU (5) 55/45 ISU MSU (4) @ WSU (3) 57/43 WSU Saturday 1.25.14 NAU (1) @ UND (6) 53/47 UND SUU (-) @ PSU (7) 66/34 PSU Sac (7) @ UNC (1) 65/35 UNC MSU (4) @ ISU (5) 55/45 ISU UM (7) @ WSU (3) 59/41 WSU If everything holds form, Weber and UNC will separate themselves from the pack. Montana is not favored in either game this week and they could be looking at a long up hill climb. UND has to win at home hopefully they have nice weather in GF to get good crowds for Sac and NAU 1. Northern Colorado 7-1 2-0 Weber State 7-1 3-0 3. Northern Arizona 5-3 0-2 North Dakota 5-3 2-0 5. Montana State 4-4 0-2 Idaho State 4-4 1-2 7. Portland State 3-4 1-0 Eastern Washington 3-4 1-0 9. Montana 2-6 0-2 Sacramento State 2-6 0-2 Southern Utah 0-8 0-2

Injuries at the post/PF are really causing problems with defense and rebounding.
-
Current Roster: Minn 24, ND 13, Wis 12, Ill 12 Iowa 3, Neb 3, SD 1 Mont 1= 69 or 72% of the 95 man roster.
-
I really don't see any rhythm shooting in the offense.
-
I don't understand the rotation today. No rotation of shooters at shooting guard. Huff/Anderson/Webb/Hooker all want to take people off the dribble.
-
The foul shooting is embarrassing..
-
I don't get the UND Insider application... I subscribe to it, yet when I try to use it all I get is commercials and I don't even have a link for the game today. I go to BigSky TV - no problem no commercials.

UND needs a big shooting day from Stefan and Schuler.. Montana State (8-6, 3-0) @ Eastern Washington (6-8, 1-2) Sac State (4-8, 0-3 ) @ Southern Utah (1-10, 0-2) Idaho State (5-7, 2-1) @ Northern Colorado (9-3, 3-0) - UNC looks like a monster this year. Montana (6-6, 1-2) @ Portland State (5-7, 0-3) Weber @ UND - going homer today.. big game today
-
Have to contain Weber St's big 3: Berry G/F 6-4 Bolomboy F 6-9 Tresnak C 6-10 I hope we have Salmonson because we are going to need the depth today at the post. NOTE: It looks like they have a nice Fr. Senglin.

I have heard many people say that that Oklahoma tribe approved the usage of the nickname for FSU. It is simply not true. Oklahoma's vote was about denouncing the use of Native American nicknames not about "Denouncing FSU's use of the Seminole name" and the council took no position on that topic. But, I don't believe that getting approval would have been a slam dunk. Slight verbiage changes like - "I approve" or "I support" tends to change votes. I believe that the verbiage of what was voted on was very carefully crafted. If you hold the view that a chief's speaks for the tribe. I assume that you would agree that a ceremony would also hold significance.
-
It is a subtle point, but I don't believe that they received permission from the Oklahoma tribe. The Oklahoma tribe did try to denounce the use of NA names in sports (it failed), but no official position was taken supporting the continued use of the Seminole name at FSU. 8/5 http://jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/081205/col_19484407.shtml Last month the Oklahoma nation defeated a motion to denounce the use of Native American nicknames and images in sports and other events by an 18-2 vote, according to tribal officials. 8/23 http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/college/2005-08-23-fsu-mascot-approved_x.htm But dissent has been voiced within the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, primarily by general council member David Narcomey, but the council has taken no official position on the FSU issue, according to Jennifer McBee, the tribe attorney general. Narcomey, saying he was voicing his opinion only, wrote in an e-mail to USA TODAY of the decision: "I am deeply appalled, incredulously disappointed ... I am nauseated that the NCAA is allowing this 'minstrel show' to carry on this form of racism in the 21st century."
-
You mean they changed the rules and then changed the rules again when the Oklahoma tribe was not on board and then UND end up with a completely different set of rules. It all make perfect sense. Seriously - you to go talk to your dad again you are confused again.

When healthy I thought Brown played fine.. and I know everyone was on Mackey, but the secondary improved significantly when he moved back to corner. Secondary is going to be a huge concern next year Graduation/Other/Transfers D. Brown R. Cain C. Hall C. Kuska (injury - posted on SS he is not playing? W. Lewis C. Mackey Corners: C. Brown - heard good things about him as a fr. but has not played much. R. Harris - played sparingly - good in run support. T. Ivery - could be a candidate to move back to WR due to losses on that side of the ball. D. Konowalski - have not seen him play. SS: J. Butler - played some last year. Have not see much from him at this point B. Carr - OK WS: W. James - Special Teams C. Reyes
-
Do they have any corners?

I am saying it is fine for coaches and people to move ahead with their careers. In this case, it appears Dale and Bubba viewed SIU as a step up in their careers versus continuing to coach or coaching at UND. So, I am not interested as fan in Dale or someone (Bubba) from his staff coming to UND to coach. I don't view this as much of a national search. I will continue to support the UND programs and players. But, I had hoped for more!!
-
UND was just starting the move up to D-1AA when Dale left - why not stay at UND and build the program. Again, I am fine with people taking opportunities to further their careers. I have done the same thing with my career. I guess as a fan, I am saying that I have moved on also. So, I am not interested.
-
So, you are saying UND passed him over to promote Muss.. I say bull, Dale and Bubba took off together for SUI and turned there back on UND - that is why I don't want anything to do with either of them now.
-
If Bubba is the obvious choice and bleeds green and is a UND guy. Why did he go to SIU 5 years ago? He should have taken the job when Dale left..
-
I think SDSU is going to be a match up problem for UND. UND started the season with 3 post players and they are down to 1, plus they only have 2 Fs right now. The rest of the roster is small ball. SDSU has a tall line-up and makes UND shoot by playing zone and UND does not have the shooters to take them out of the zone. I think SDSU wins hope I am wrong.
