  1. I’ve got tickets for the SDSU/USD game on Halloween—it should be a really good game. I think the USD quarterback is going to surprise quite a few teams in the MVFC this year. If they can retool the offensive line, USD’s offense is going to be a handful. SDSU always sells a lot of tickets early in the season. It’s the harvest, pheasant, deer, and cold-weather weekends that tend to hurt SDSU attendance.
  2. I believe his comment was in jest as was mine. I fully expect that USD will be at home next year. He is talking about the following: In 2024 the Dakota schools and the MVFC worked on a scheduling agreement that would balance out the schedules. As an example: SDSU would play UND/USD at home one year and then play NDSU at home the next year. This change was implemented in 2025 which cause some schools to travel to same school twice. In this case, SDSU had to travel to UND in both 2024 and 2025. UND was scheduled to play at Brookings in 2026 and then rotate going forward. Then NDSU ran away to FBS and it presented the same problem for the remaining Dakota schools. So to balance the schedules again, SDSU is traveling to Grand Forks for the third year in a row and SDSU fans have been grousing at the situation.
  3. And another game for UND on the road against USD in 2027.
  4. I was looking for a release of game notes, I don't see anything online yet. I thought they were published on Mondays, do they still plan on creating them? Does anyone know?
  5. Please contact: they should be very interested in your request. 6. Man, I have to say the Football 360 guys have really stepped it up this year. Really nice job - Tank and Kelly
  7. Well, the problem with the NDSU's approach to Title IX is that programs have to be added if interest exists. So, they have limited control: looking forward to women's wrestling, hockey and flag football in the near future.
  8. I see a lot of FIghting Sioux merch in Western South Dakota for some reason.
  9. I am not sure about you but when I think of big boy ball I think of San Jose St Spartan Football. It's funny that Buffalo fans rip on Murray St when they might have a better football stadium than SJSU. SJSU's stadium has gone from 31,000 to 18,000. The improvement was to reduce the number of people that could watch the football team.
  10. A nice practice facility and then updates to the Betty. I think the basic structure is a good starting point and with most programs moving to NHL ice. I think a number of options could be on the table. The crazy part is that 2027 is almost here and Sept 30th 2030 is right around the corner. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next couple of years.
  11. Is there a TopGolf in town?
  12. I agree, but can you create a G6 Football Only conference? I don't think so.
  13. If that’s the case, you can’t blame UND for not trying. I think they came up with a reasonable approach for the development, and the time is now with all the work already happening in that area. I’m not a taxpayer in Grand Forks, and I can respect those who vote against it. Trust me, I get the pros and cons of TIF/PILOT programs. In this case, the community gets another entertainment option. I live in the Cities, where everything seems focused on paying for housing with little to no return for the general public atleast in my community.
  14. I agree with this, but to UND’s credit they are continuing to invest in highly visible assets on campus to make UND a viable option: Education: New aviation operations building and STEM Complex (Phases I and II). The university was also recently awarded R1 status. Sports: Proposed updates to the golf course, working with the city to expand entertainment and housing options. They made the difficult decision to cut men’s and women’s tennis. The only programs that really still need facility help are the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center and soccer. They are also in the process of creating a new campus master plan for the next round of updates.
  15. If they can get Jy Martin, Avery Scott, and J. Wiltshire all playing this fall, that would be an incredible plus—especially with rotating younger players to build depth. Let’s go!
  16. Teeder please attend a practice and post your thought. So we can get this thread back on track.
  17. Just to add some context to some of the discussions on this topic. DATA | Average Football Budgets 2026-2027 Members, Full Members Only PAC-12 | $25,092,033 American | $20,219,659 MWC | $14,964,796 Sun Belt | $14,026,019 CUSA | $11,800,229 MAC | $11,713,774 I think UND’s football budget is around $7–8 million. One other note: the Sac State arrangement with the MAC is more of a 5-year scheduling alliance, not an affiliate membership with an indefinite timeline.
  18. It will be interesting to see how competitive they are against SIU in the first game. Looks like a nice facility opening up in the Fall of 2027!! Good Luck this year.
  19. Yes, they have a beef going on for sure.
  20. The Pimp-n-Schrimp look like they are at loss for words.

@jimdahl - I have had problems connecting to forum links and to the SiouxSports.com site. Will the software update solve that problem also?

    Midco sports

MidcoSports+ is live using a new platform hopefully that means additional apps are available soon.
  24. No, I saw it last week. So, it was a recent update. Dang, I was hoping for another year. They need some guys to step up this year.
  25. Thank you for the updates. I have always appreciated the rivalry between UND and USD. It is unfortunate that arrangements with the Big Sky Conference did not materialize. A conference anchored by Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, USD, and UND would have provided an excellent foundation.
