  1. If it died - how the hell did we end up with that turd of the nickname..
  2. I am not fighting a war.... I absolutely support the University and the players.. I am a champions club member. I have up'd my support level and I am looking forward to the football season with my season tickets. I love the play on the field. Please don't confuse my support vs my opinion of the logo/nickname. Plain and simple in my opinion the logo/nickname suck. Before you throw me in the Sioux Forever group. I don't chant Sioux Forever.
  3. The nickname and logo are still awful. Interlocking ND with North Dakota would have been so much better. We should have let more time pass and then come up with something new. Think about it the Hawks gained steam on campus because "How About We Keep Sioux" was some type of rebellion against the NCAA on campus. Boy did we show them.. how did that work out!?!!? Fighting Hawks nickname and logo sucks..
  4. I have no doubt the NDSU is in Title IX compliance. They just choose a different path to meet Title IX. Compliance to Title IX can take many different forms. The path that NDSU takes has positives and negatives. One of the disadvantages is that you really don't have control over what sports you offer. If there is enough interest in returned surveys that NDSU distributes annually. Then NDSU will need to take action to provide an opportunity. Now does that mean a scholarship sport. I am not sure. But, given NDSU's approach to Title IX and the aggressive nature of women's hockey. I can see a path to NDSU looking at college women's hockey. Will it happened - unknown. http://www.law.du.edu/documents/sports-and-entertainment-law-journal/issues/01/williams-title-ix.pdf Section: IV. New Legislation - in the article does a nice job of explaining the third prong.

    2017 Season

Here is a nice write up from last year on Ketteringhaul. Sounds like a nice opportunity. http://missoulian.com/sports/college/montana/sac-state-qb-nate-ketteringham-product-of-last-year-s/article_cea02cdb-70bc-505f-b250-999045a6a557.html
  6. So, without relocation UND and NDSU are at the same % interesting.

    2017 Season

Sometimes It takes a lot to ask for help.. I hope he is in a good place and has the support he needs to be successful for his family and himself. Best of luck to this young man.
  8. I don't know something is missing - maybe WIH for NDSU. All they have to do is fill out a survey. It should balance out NDSU quite nicely. FYP. That would completely level the playing field between UND and NDSU. Game on boys.
  9. Can you UND go back the Big Sky - please
  10. 6-7 220 lbs F - injury problems - I have no problem with that..
  11. That too.. opps - well let's hope for a big - please be a big...
  12. I like the way you think.... but I wasn't sure if he was talking about a recruit or Jones contract???
  13. Well we are going a conference with Oral Roberts???? Really.. plus all this drama of everyone wanting to leave. Good grief.. I guess other options could be NMSU, Little Rock, UNC or UMKC
  14. I agree to a point, but I really think UND's season come down to the OL... they have got to get it going!!!
  15. Bison Dan - keep parading around that NDSU had 1.8M gain and you just might end up with 1.9M dollar W. Hockey program. There are a bunch of ladies playing hockey and they have no place to go. Maybe they will figure all you have to do is enroll at NDSU and fill out a survey. Then your comparison will be appropriate because NDSU's Title IX compliance number will be more in line with UND. I don't understand why people think they can compare two organizations when one of the primary drivers of costs are driven by two totally different approaches.
  16. Or several ladies could enroll at NDSU and complete a survey saying they have interest in womens hockey!?!?!? - if that happens the football better get the bake sales rolling.
  17. Thoughts and prayers to family members
  18. I know.. I am saying don't do the mirror schedules. Roll them together - have the games on Thursday/Saturday double headers mens/womens - pack the arenas - make them events.
  19. I don't see why you wouldn't. Denver and Omaha do it. Sioux Falls has done it with the SL Conf Tournament and NDSU did it with Scheels arena. We need to get true travel partners and go back to hosting mens and womens games on the same night. Go OLD schools NCC. But, make home game weekends events. The Summit League game environments would make a huge jump - maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  20. They did show another shot that was better - it was zoomed in tighter. Not sure if it was during post game that they showed it.
  21. That doesn't even make sense... SDSU would not give up the Summit for MVC and Arch Madness.
  22. Here is a direct quote from the VOX of Bull pups... rationalizing why Pionk was not kicked out of the game. As he saw it - Pionk just lost his balance. (Frankly, wouldn't have been mad if Pionk had been tossed for it, but right before the hit, it looks like he loses his balance a bit, as if he were trying to stop and couldn't. Weird sequence looking at the clip, and it was probably enough to keep him in the game.)
  23. Exactly, I am shocked that people are surprised... I have thought of UMD as dirty team since the Chay injury several year back.
  24. What couldn't have been more wrong? That they could have been more professional about how they handled the situation with an affiliate school. I get the relationship. I have heard plenty of shots at UND over the years during the drive time. Not saying that some are not deserved. But, there have been plenty that were not deserved and I am not talking about Beyond the Pond. I totally get the bit in that context.
