  1. First question I would ask: Quality Losses - your thoughts
  2. I downloaded the data from a different site, but the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_research_universities_in_the_United_States appears to be fairly recent and correct. R1, R2 and R3 are Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education classifications. Doctoral Universities Includes institutions that awarded at least 20 research/scholarship doctoral degrees during the update year (this does not include professional practice doctoral-level degrees, such as the JD, MD, PharmD, DPT, etc.). Excludes Special Focus Institutions and Tribal Colleges. R1: Doctoral Universities – Highest research activity R2: Doctoral Universities – Higher research activity R3: Doctoral Universities – Moderate research activity As far as conferences and Research Universities moving to the BSC was a step up in class for Idaho. I was surprised to see Ga St as a R-1 school. The BSC numbers include Idaho. If NMSU moves to the BSC it would be 8 R2 schools. Idaho St. is a R3. I threw in the MW, MVFC and Sun Belt for comparison. The 3 Dakota schools really carry the MVFC in terms of research schools. The other two are SIU and ISU-Red (ISU-Blue is a R3). R1 R2 R3 NR Non Research Schools Mountain West 2-CSU, NM 5 2 2 SJ USAF Big Sky 1-UCD 7 1 - ISU 5 Sac Weber SUU Poly EWU MVFC 0 5 1 -Ind St. 3 UNI YSU MSU Sun Belt 1-Ga St. 3 2 3 App St. Ark St. Troy
  3. Research R2 vs Other (R3, unclassified and affiliate schools) Research R2: Montana State University Northern Arizona University Portland State University University of Montana University of Idaho University of North Dakota University of Northern Colorado Other: University of California-Davis Idaho State University Weber St Southern Utah Cal Poly EWU Sac St.
  4. I wonder if he was part of the NDSU crew that was on the UND campus a couple of years ago.
  5. Wow.... my oh my... let's see if we can answer a few questions: 1) What happened 5 years ago that made getting to the NCAA tournament much easier for xDSU? 2) Why is a conference ranked so high - still a one bid league? 3) Did it hurt when SDSU lost to a lowly Weber St team this year? 4) UND women did play the Summit League champ this year it was a good game ultimately USD won 73-70. I don't see a significant difference between USD/SDSU and UND. But, SDSU has been very successful. 5) Does it hurt to pimp your rival school for football? And do you even know what the marker looks like? - it's been a while.
  6. What is the under/over on the number of minutes that Shanks plays.... before he has two fouls against that beast of a center UC-I has ....
  7. I don't understand why it is not in Boise Idaho. It is centrally located between, PSU, ISU, MSU, UM, UI and Weber St. All are 6/7 hour drives or less, which is saying something for the Big Sky.
  8. What a weekend for UND sports: Baseball with two wins over #12 USC on the road - Great job guys BB mens and womens teams win today Mens hockey sweeps UMD.. Softball beat Virginia today also.. I think that they lost earlier in the day though.
  9. Everyone is missing the issue here... the issue is that these items are not available online. So, only locals have a chance at getting this merchandise. THAT IS JUST WRONG AND IT MUST STOPPED.
  10. Brian - I like the service many times I am busy with kids activities and I watch the games later or the next day. It works well for me. Games at the Ralph have the best quality. It is kind of fun listening to the other teams homers... CC's has the worst quality. SCSU, WM and Duluth are all OK - picture standard def.
  11. What?? SCSU just makes !@#$ up - NO that can't be..
  12. Even more entertaining was listening to them when they were not included in the NCHC and UND was still named the Sioux. For the record, I don't hate SCSU - I just don't want to be associated with them. I think the NCHC should have taken Mankota and dumped SCSU. Still wish they would.
  13. Something Lewis and Clark - I love the idea of a travelling trophy... between the two schools...
  14. I think you are the one making stuff up right now.. travel budgets are always reviewed. This has been consistent with every company I have been with.... only the sales groups take the $300 and $40 for client contacts.
  15. I have always found the MVFC beating up on each other and preventing deep runs for SDSU interesting. The Big Sky has ended SDSU season more often - Montana (2), EWU (1). And NDSU/MVFC (2).
  16. ahh the infamous press conference....
  17. Way too early to look at the RPI... please wait until the end of the season.
  18. You need a Snickers bar - you are acting like a troll again.
  19. Exactly and now they run from the topic once the reality is they were the D-Bags....
  20. this x 100 Puffy carried his ass.... I don't listen to KFAN because of him. I would rather watch a on-line update screen with no sound.
  21. Hmmm, my point as I have previously posted is the injury should have never happened it was a dirty hit.
  22. All of it would have made more sense if had put multiple degrees from NDSU. Wow - that is some stuff....
  23. I am not sure - are the other Big Sky basketball schools offering FCOA?
  24. No, it would have same impact. How it occurred - dirty/needless play on the part of a NDSU player. Injury should have never happen.
  25. All teams have injuries, my only problem is how the injury occurred and there was no need for it!!! - that is all..
