I agree. The defense is worse than last year. Fire everyone and start over. Let the new guys recruit players that are serious about winning. It's obvious that we have to do something drastic or we'll be another Morningside or Valpo for the next 5 years. Take no prisoners. Everyone goes.

I think anyone who tries to sugar coat this fiasco should be banned. No excuses, this is beyond bad. I'm wondering if the low doesn't come next week at Idaho State. I vote FIRE EVERYONE, including the coordinators.

One thing is certain. I don't see any commits to us on Wiki and most of the other D1 schools around have gotten some big names already. Recruits aren't tearing our doors down to get here and that should be a major concern. Recruits aren't dumb. They know the football situation is deteriorating here and no one has any idea who will coach next year. Things won't improve until we've shown that we have capable coaches and then build on that. Like it or not, that's how I see it.

I'm going with MSU 38, UND 20. I've just lost all faith in this team.

Hey, if he said "off the record" you have no business quoting him here. Off the record means just that, no record of the conversation and you violated that trust. I can see why coaches are sometimes reluctant to talk.

Those might be winnable games, but they don't get us anywhere either. Valpo was won, and a lot of good that did us. If we can't compete against the big boys, we may as well stay home. Any team not good enough to at least make the playoffs is not good enough. We need to make serious noise in the BSC, not be a doormat for the Big Three. I think we need to make a statement NOW so the recruits know it won't be business as usual next year. Start replacing people, starting with Muss.

I predict that if we finish at 6-5, even this three rump kickings, that Mussman will be back next year. Faison doesn't seem to be in any hurry to make changes. If he was, he wouldn't have giving Muss an extension last year. Really, I'd be surprised if we go 6-5. I don't think this sorry ass team is capable of that.

I'm sure this season will do wonders for recruiting. How do you tell a kid to ignore how bad we are now and not look like we are desperate for him to come.

I'm almost afraid to ask this question: Did we have any recruits at the game last night? Are any planning on coming to the MSU and EWU games? I'm praying that none come to any games until after the EWU game and hopefully the ship gets righted, at least partially.

I agree entirely, but what will it cost to buy out the remaining 2 years of his contract, plus how much more are we going to have to spend to get a quality replacement? On top of that, the coordinators salaries are probably going to have to get jacked up as well. You can only squeeze so much blood and I have to wonder where the money will come from? At any rate, changes have to be made, I can't stand this disaster any more.

If Muss stays much longer, they may as well start practicing for the next decade. I had figured this game for a loss, but this totally humiliting and unacceptable. Totally embarrassing to be a UND fan, and what is worse is that NDSU seems to be at the top of their game now. We need serious changes and I fear it won't happen soon enough.

Where do you even begin? Anyone who even tries to defend the play of this team is seriously delusional. Mollberg isn't living up to hype and the defense just mailed it in. Nothing good to say and it looks like everyone else feels the same way. Mark my words, the way this team is playing this year will set the program back for several years. Yuck!

I'm going with Montana 38, UND 28. I'm sorry, but I didn't see anything last week that makes me think otherwise. Lame defense and inexperienced quarterbacks, and no guarentee one will play more than a half makes me think we are sunk on this game.

More like Stig wanted to see good his passing game is so he has something to use down the road if he gets behind, like at say Nebraska.

Missing the playoffs is unexceptable. With the expanded field, it shouldn't be that hard to get in, especially with the likelyhood of three BSC teams playing. No playoffs this year=no Muss next year.

I'm not real confident on this game. Just got a bad feeling, but I'm still going to make a homer pick. UND 27 SDSU 24. If we get blown out on this one, I'd say things get ugly for us when we meet the Montanas.

And if we DON'T make the playoffs, Mussman had better be gone.

I want an FBS win so bad I can almost taste it. We have easy FBS teams the next 2 years, so it had better happen. What is really frustrating is we are the only Dakota school that has neither an FBS win nor a playoff win. Muss, are you listening?

I agree with the others who said this game will be very telling about what the team is capable of. A bad showing here will not sit well for our other tough games. I'm not seeing a blowout here, so if we step it up, it should be a big W. We need that signature win, and while this isn't that much coveted FBS win, it will have to do. One thing we can't do is let SDSU turn the game into a track meet. We can't go into this thing just hoping just to outscore SDSU. The defense has to hold and keep things reasonable. We can win, but we can't put up numbers like we did against Valpo. Please show some "D". Please, please, please.
