  1. Yea, against School of Mines. We can hardly wait.
  2. Dave, so many people have seen the light and switched sides. I know 5 years ago I was in the tiny minority wanting the name changed. Now, thankfully a lot of people who fried me for that position are some of biggest proponents and I applaud them for realizing the need. It's time to do the right thing and move on, really.
  3. Funny how it's come down to DaveK, Fetch, and Chewey against the world. With any luck, those will be the only 3 "No" votes that show up in the June vote.
  4. Hey bison06, this has nothing to do with anything you've posted. I'm just wondering what your avatar says? There is no way for me to read that fine print. You probably would have made a good lawyer. Ha Ha.
  5. Modest sanctions. Is that something like Slightly Pregnant? Sanctions are sanctions, and UND can't survive with them.
  6. Exactly.
  7. The thing is, you've said enough other things just as absurd that you're credibility isn't so great. It's hard to tell when you're being sarcastic and when you're willing to go down in flames with the entire school to save the name.
  8. Two words mean more to you then an entire institution? You can't be serious? You either have lost all touch with reality, or you're just here to troll. In either case, I wish you'd fold up your tent and leave.
  9. So you're saying you wouldn't have a problem with us dropping the Sioux name if they get rid of the Seminoles and the Chippewas too?
  10. I'm wishing we still have an athletic dept. in a year.
  11. Until What??? You one issue Sally's finally realize this is serious and give up what has been a lost cause for the last 6 years?
  12. I'm confused, how can NDSU only have 3 games scheduled for 2014? I would assume they have the usual conference games as well. Unless, of course the Mo Valley kicks them out for that offensive moniker.
  13. I didn't expect a decision today. But this quote is telling: Erickson said he “will try to render an opinion in the near future.” I would anticipate a ruling in a week or so. I'm sure he'll look at it thoroughly and then rule that SL has no standing and that will render the rest of the issues moot.
  14. I've heard from a credible source that the Odney Advertising Agency in Fargo has been hired to conduct research polls on people's attitudes on the name change, SBoHE, the ND Legislature, UND, and relationships with the sovereign tribes. I'm guessing that is probably related to the phone calls. Seems like there is a plan to combat the hysteria out there. I would love to see the poll numbers, but I'm sure those will be kept private.
  15. But you don't have the REAL evil listed. No UND athletic department. What is so hard to understand about that? ?
  16. Wow. Two words mean more to you then an entire institution. I wish my degree was in Psychology rather then Poli Sci, because I sure would love to analyze you.
  17. Jim, I'm curious how you came up with the rankings in the cases where there were tie scores? In the 1 point per round side, there are 7 people who all had 11 points, yet Ole came out number 1. BTW, thanks for all the work you did on this, adds an extra little touch to UND hockey.
  18. That almost makes it sound like it was intentional, and yet you said UND is claiming it was unintentional.
  19. Anyone else think it's ironic that Super Fan DaveK picked us to lose to Minnesota in the hockey bracket and had Minnesota winning it all. Now granted, I only had UND going one game further and had BC winning it all, but wouldn't you think a guy who claims to be the very heart and soul of UND athletics would at least have a little faith in his team? I'll probably get kicked to the curb for saying this, but it just seems so contrary to the front he puts up over the name.
  20. And then confusion can really reign supreme. After spending the next 2 months telling people that yes means no and no means yes for the June primary, they can then turn around and tell people it's the same issue, but yes means yes and no means no.
  21. I hope The Herald does some polling to see how everyone is leaning, and more importantly, I hope they word the polling question the right way, NOT "Do you support or oppose the Sioux nickname". I'm in Minnesota and not close to the RR Valley, so I'm not getting any vibes here. What really worries me is I remember a Poly Sci prof telling the class that if you want a NO vote on an issue in ND, put it on the Primary election. Seems that's when the die hards all vote and they vote no.
  22. I TOLD YOU SO. For months I said YES would mean No nickname, and No would mean the nickname stays.
  23. I've been there. That's why I said what I did. Makes me think we have a black cloud hanging over us
  24. How dare Me? I'll tell you what dared me. It's the fact that I want athletics at UND in five years. Do you have a back up plan to the Big Sky asking us politely to leave?
