Gone altogether. I doubt that it ever works to demote someone and expect good results.

By noon tomorrow it should all be over, either Mussman is fired or UND football is sunk for next year. I just hope Faison doesn't rush out and just hire someone for the sake of getting a warm body in the position. If it takes until the second week of January so be it. This is going to be a long term project and we'll only get one shot at doing it right. And another thing, get rid of the coordinators too. It's time to start completely over with a blank sheet of paper. If we have a coach in 2 weeks, it means Faison promoted from within. We need someone who has HC D1 experience. Anything less will just be rolling the dice.

Is anyone else starting to panic about our total lack of commits so far? One guy and we probably got him only because he didn't have any other offers. We are 2 1/2 months away from signing day and a lot of our offerees are already committed to other schools, and the ones that aren't committed don't seem interested in coming here. I've just got a bad feeling on this upcoming class. Muss hasn't been a good recruiter in the past, and I think this year will be the worst.
-
LOL on that one. So we've improved .8 points per game. Figure that over 10 games, that's 8 points total. So, the D gave up one less TD is basically how it figures out. Some improvement, but OK. So, the problem lies with the O. Do you blame Mollberg, or do you blame Muss for playing Mollberg?
-
So they give up less points, but lose more games than last year. Yes, that's some impovement. I'd say you truly are Mussman's mistress or lapdog. No one else could possibly spin anything positive out this fiasco.
-
I'd Bartles will continue to look good, but the D gives up more than Ryan could counter. Davis wins 34-24. Right now, the only thing this team has going for it is Bartles and I hope he stays sharp.
-
So, who got our goal?
-
Well, it looks like my bone headed pick of OD didn't cost me. I'll go with Johnson for Sunday.
-
OD not in the lineup tonight? What did I miss?
-
But I'm sure the new staff will see that Bartles is better than Mollberg, just the way everyone else can see it. IMO Bartles is head and shoulders above Mollberg

OD on fri correction, saturday, duh

It wouldn't surprise me if Carr left. I think the AZ kids often have cultural shock when they come to GF. Not that it's bad, but just different, and couple that with the unfolding disaster that we have, I feel he'll be gone. Unless we get a big name, well like coach in soon, I'd say the wagen train out of Dodge is going to be pretty busy by Christmas time.
-
I see nothing wrong with a sign like that, but it's totally unnecessary. I'm sure his family, along with everyone else knows he's gone after the season. At least with the sign, you're singling out the problem as opposed to booing the entire team.

No news today, so it looks like Muss lives to fight another week. What's really scarey is if nothing happens in 2 weeks.
-
More like Mussman's wife or mistress. No one else could possibly find more silver linings in this unfolding disaster that is UND football.
-
Keep Bartles in there, at least they show a little life.

I couldn't agree more. Start Bartles against NAU so he gets back into the rythem of things, and keep playing him against UNC and Davis. I really feel Bartles has a shot at beating NC and Davis, which is more than Mollberg will provide. The Mollberg experiment has run it's course and certainly hasn't look successful, so let's move on.
-
Yes we do, look at the very top. We've got Develyn Ferguson, 6'1”, 175, 4.5, Wauwautosa (West) WI I'm very nervious about not having more by now. National Signing Day is 3 months away and I think the ony reason we got Ferguson was that he had no other offers. Looks like Muss and this losing season are turning recruits off, plus they don't know who the next coach will be.
-
I'd just be happy if we'd beat an FBS team once, but never fear, that day is approaching. San Jose is going down next year. New coach, new attitude, new results.
-
I agree fully that Mollberg's day has come and gone. It's time to see what Bartles can do Start him against NAU and UNC One very hard game and one that we have a chance to win, this should show how he copes. Mollberg just doesn't seem to live up to the hype that surrounded him when we picked him up. If nothing else, maybe if Mollberg is forced to watch from the sidelines, he might learn something. He sure hasn't up to this point.

So, they never happened, or they got covered up before the legal system got involved? If it's the first, then the subject should be dropped before rumors get out of hand. If it's the latter, then I think the whole football program has big problems. I'm not a fan of sweeping dirt under the rug.

Wow. Looks like Menard had offeres from 9 schools including the Montana's and all 4 of the Dakota schools. We really need to picking up some of these high profile players, it doesn't seem to be happening.
