Summed up the season in 2 words

OK, but the people that had the mindset to let NDSU not only move up but totally run away from us talent wise put us in a hole that will be very difficult to overcome now. We were coming off a Nat in 2001 and had RT pulled the trigger about 2003 and moved up things would have been a lot better. Maybe GF does think different than Fargo, but that's no reason to play second fiddle to the school down the road and up the river with 6 D1 Nats.

That wouldn't fit into sioux volley's conspiracy theory.

Roger Thomas? Geez Louise, he was as bad you could get. His hatred for NDSU pretty much screwed UND over for years. I'm sure the only reason he wouldn't push for us to move up was he wanted NDSU to fall flat on their faces, and ending the games with them hurt us far more than it did them. We should have pulled the trigger and moved up the day after the Bison did. In fact, we should have moved up the day before they did and been the leader for once. RT set us back 10 years.

I also remember when Faison was hired some on here thought he'd be great because of his New Mexico connections. Nothing ever came of that either. I'm going to reserve judgment until Chaves is on the ground for a while. Just not sure what to make of him.

I'll admit he was probably the best out of the four but still wonder if there wasn't something better out there. We'll know in a couple years one way or another.

I guarantee you that if all three guys were to somehow withdraw or be disqualified and Elliot was the only one left and they decided to reopen the search, there would be one hell of a lawsuit for gender discrimination. Opening it back up is never a good thing.

EWU won the title back in 2010 and hasn't done much since. They've made the playoffs some years but I don't think it's been every year since 2010 and they certainly haven't made a lot of deep runs since then. I doubt anyone thinks of EWU as a basketball dominant college either. What exactly did he build up?

Well this game will tell if the boys are up for the challenge or not. Sucky game like last night and meh, going to be along second half to the season.

I have to wonder why he wants out of EWU? We would be more of a lateral move than a step up, really. I really have to wonder how much he understands about hockey? We all know that's the horse that leads the cart around here. At this point I'm not sure I like any of them.

Another thing to remember is we didn't build on that championship. Instead, we took about 4 steps backward this year. It's just hard to think of '16 as being all that glorious when we now have nothing to show for it except maybe for a trophy sitting somewhere.

The sad thing is after we won the Sky championship, we laid an egg in the playoffs. 2016 really would have meant something if we had won against Richmond. Then we would have proven something.
