I think there's a team up river from UND that seems to find a way. We can't blame injuries, we just need to find a way to lessen them and the impact they have when they occur.

It's time to get off the injury thing and move on. Everyone keeps saying "If we didn't have injuries", but that happens to all teams. It's just that good teams work around that. "If we didn't have injuries". Well "if" pigs had wings, they'd be eagles.

I think we really expected too much out of Mollberg. He was good, but not a superstar player. I honestly feel that a lot of people felt that since NDSU was interested in him, he had to be the best. The reality in all sports is that there's always one other guy out there that's better than you.

I've been saying that for a while now. Remember, I think it was 3 years ago that we had ZERO commits from WI. Yes, Z*E*R*O. Lets see, 3 years ago, now how old would those kids be now?

Not really. He just got out played by Studsrud. Happens sometimes.

And at the same time NDSU made that same move to the MVFC, and the first couple years they had their asses handed to them on a regular basis. As for SDSU, yes they made the playoffs but lost in the first round.

If a high school recruit doesn't even want to make an effort to learn all about a team that offered him, I don't want him period.

You think recruits can't figure out on their own that we have massive problems without reading it on a blog? They aren't stupid, it's pretty apparent more than a few things need to be overhauled.

Making the playoffs isn't good enough. We've already done that. Minimum we should settle for is at least on playoff win. And really, it should be two wins or a first round bye and a win. We need to move forward and soon or this program moves backward, and that's what's happened already. We have a couple years to get ready for MVFC or we are screwed and become a permanent bottom feeder like Mo State and Ind State. I'm not 100% sure getting rid of Rudy is the answer, but we have to start somewhere. At any rate, playoff win or else.

Well recruiting wasn't the best a few years ago. I remember one year we didn't get a one single recruit from the state of Wisconsin. Not one. At that same time NDSU was building championship teams with Wisconsin guys. I clearly recall guys saying no big deal if we don't get guys from a certain state, plenty of others to go around. Point is, we can't settle for just ND or western MN players. Bubba needs to step it up, our lack of quality depth showed loud and clear.

But I think Lennon is smart enough to know he wouldn't be any better as a HC then he is as OC.

Well the no staff changes probably proves you are right. Figured Bubba would say little and quietly easy Rudolf out the door.

Any guesses when the ax falls? I'll say it happens, but not this coming week. I think Bubba lets the dust settle and tries to pretend that it's not a snap decision.

Actually any Bison fan will probably tell you if they had anyone else in the replay booth that year they would have won a NC. I wonder if they will ever let that call go?

Looks like I'll be away from the 'puter this weekend. If I get past Friday, give me Gardner for Sat. Not that I have to worry, I've been eliminated in the first round every game this year.

I think you are on to something. In reality, maybe there is no reason to hire a new coordinator because I'm sure he will have the same philosophy as we now have.
