I guess we disagree. Offense very bad. Defense only slightly better. Other than the kneel down at end of half we only had 3 possesions cuz defense giving up long time consuming drives.
-
True the offense if sh!t. Problem with defense is they can't get off the field. TOP 19 min to 11.

Jerry doesn’t do well when DL pushes OL back into his feet. Has happened often last 3 weeks.
-
63 Cariveau in now.
-
Very. Poor body language guy for sure.

76 Teeter

Not per my eyes or espn
-
14 minutes left in half and we’ve had the ball once
-
Defense needs to get off the field

I CBs asking about it but letting it go.

I think we are on our 4th RG for the season.

I finished listening to Kelly's podcast right after I wrote my post. All that you posted makes sense and is good insight. It's just frustrating to read - I wouldn't change anything that we did - when it didn't work. Maybe even "we should have called timeout when we didn't get the look we expected."
-
I was even more frustrated this week when he doubled down in a Herald article. From the article - "I think I can do a better job of making sure that we're all on the same page through the week and have the right guys in the game, so that we can go and execute at a high level," Fruechte said. "In no way, shape or form would I go back and change anything that we did. I trusted what our kids did throughout the week. I trusted the plan and the prep. I think we had the right idea with it." All of the above is fine but since it didn't work, how about adding - we'll take another look and see if we need to make any adjustments to our preparation or game plan.

There was a young man with recruit lanyard from Dallas area up for the game last weekend. Maybe him. He and his father were near us for the Hawk Walk and he took a bunch of videos of it. We tried to convince them that it’s usually 75 and sunny in Nov in GF and they had a good laugh but didn’t buy it.
-
That's him. Looks like he played for Jacksonville in 2020. Has been retired since 2022. Per wikipedia - On April 15, 2020, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Schobert to a five-year, $53.75 million contract that includes $21.50 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $12 million. He was traded to Pittsburgh the next August for a 6th round pick.

Simple answer is no.

Definitely not satire. I don't want to say too much cuz not my place but she was just introduced to me as Kris. Her last name didn't come up. Count me as being impressed by how unpretentious it all was.
-
First time I've met her and she couldn't have been more approachable and easy going.
-
Don't sell her short just yet. She was at the football game last Saturday and hopefully liked what she saw.

This is the type of game where we'd crap the bed in the past. Expecting/hoping it'll be different this year. Need to put them away early and not let them hang around and give them hope.

Talking different things. I don't know that anybody has said our place kickers have been good. I, and others, have said that isn't a reflection on the ST coach. ST coaches are responsible for schemes, not kicking a ball. If you wan't to blame him for the reverse that was flagged, that makes more sense. The OC is rightfully catching flak for play calling decisions, not that Jerry has been throwing inaccurately lately. It's the same thing to me. He isn't responsible for Jerry having a couple off games.
-
I didn’t see it. We are at opposite end. i did help with the second kick. I went and leaned on the end wall when he kicked. My mom did that for me when I played and claimed it helped. Conjured up some good vibes. I will continue to do my part in the future as long as it works.

I agree but there is some hope. We need to sign more impact athletes and we've gotten commitments for next year look very solid, if we can keep most of them. That's where it starts.
-
Most of this is just not on the ST coordinator. Schmidt has said that the entire staff is involved in the ST game planning and they take pride in that. The ST coach is not responsible for a kicker missing a kick. It is an individual skill like shooting a 3 pointer or FT in basketball. Should the bb coach be fired when a kid misses a shot? The kickers we have were well regarded out of hs. It is up to them to make a kick when they get a chance. I also believe that they decide as a staff who to recruit and are each responsible for an area. Kostich is not the only one evaluating recruits. Agree the safety is on the special teams as a whole but also on the offense too. Punter wasn't at his normal depth because only got 2 yards from the 1 in 3 plays prior to that, including a penalty.

I will never understand this. Anything that is good for your closest rival and helps them is by definition detrimental to you. Whether it's in recruiting players or competition for fans, media recognition, sponsorships or other $$, it's just a negative for you.
