Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State
Siouxperman8 replied to UND-FB-FAN's topic in Football
That TD run by Langama was really something. He just kept grinding and twisting and eventually broke out of the tackle and ran into the endzone. -
I made the comment at a game that he couldn't get the corner and about 2 plays later he went around the end for a long one.
-
My take on him was he'd try to bounce a lot of stuff outside and couldn't shake the guy on the edge so not much success. I think he did well catching the ball.
-
Yes for the roster. The house settlement revenue sharing agreement gives each school around $21M. I know at UM it is allocating 75% of that to football so $15M-$16M right there. LSU promised him a $25M per year player pool combining NIL and revenue sharing.
-
There's just so much money at the upper end of FBS. I read Lane Kiffin was guaranteed $25M a year for player compensation at LSU. Unreal.
-
I saw they had a couple of decommits this past week which could have contributed to this.
-
I was told by someone in the know that they get 2% in spring, 2% start of fall and 96% after play in 5th game so can’t leave and take redshirt. Something Schmidt brought with him. Same as the big programs he was with did it.
-
Those first few audibles by Romfo made for a couple of easy pitch and catch plays. Nothing fancy but he set us up for some important yards and first downs.
-
we need a kicker but blocked PAT and blocked punt were fine special teams plays.
-
we need to find one of those guys at QB
-
Keep thinking we might have won a couple more games if Z had been available all year. Both SU's were in play with a couple short yardage conversions.
-
Sawyer never saw the field again after his fumble. Any idea if he he got nicked up or just sat cuz of the fumble?
-
76 missed him first. I think 21 was support block someone else.
-
And it's a new phenomenon in second half of the season. He was very good early on. It does seem like confidence might be a big part of it.
-
Ugh. Offense playing in quicksand and then miss short fg.
-
yep, and the blocked punt.
-
Jerry been rough for a while, unfortunately. Need a difference maker back there.
-
Not too early on the camera work complaining
-
Hopefully not his last game.

YSU 21-0. Overcame a holding call on the 15 yd line and made it look easy

If, and that’s a big if, all of those things happen I’d be on board and we should be ready to move. - NDSU, SDSU, Montana St, Montana all move up - new subdivision formed that has playoffs. This has been talked about since Lennon was coaching UND. It was part of the justification for not moving up. The theory was that a new subdivision was coming so we’d wait for that to shake out first. 25 years later and I don’t think we are any closer to that happening. Haven’t heard anything recently about it. Like I said, I was wrong last time so probably wrong again. just don’t see the appeal and where the money would come from

No snark here at all but I truly don't understand the attraction to playing with hopes to get to a low level bowl game. I'd much rather play in the FCS playoffs. I have visions of something like the 2024 Cricket Celebration Bowl (Jackson St vs. South Carolina St) or the Myrtle Beach Bowl (Coastal Carolina vs. UTSA) if you even make a bowl. Help me understand what I'm not getting.
-
Not sure there will be extra money after expenses to filter down. Entry fee to move up is $5 million up front and costs can only be higher.
-
I am anti moving up to FBS too. I don't see the attraction of more far flung teams and games and maybe a low rung bowl game if you're lucky. I like where we are now with the ability to drive to a couple road games a year if want to. If FBS was to split that would be a different story. I do have to admit that I was against moving to I-AA when the SU's did and I was completely wrong on that so my opinion isn't worth much.
