  1. even better confirmation.
  2. Schlossman and Herald reporting that Rucker is coming back. Official announcement coming soon. Whoop, whoop https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/star-pass-rusher-lance-rucker-to-return-to-und-for-senior-season?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar
  3. Looks like you can take the train and get fairly close and then taxi. We took the Long Island RR to Stony Brook which is about an hour farther away from NYC. Went from Penn Station and had one train change along the way but was pretty easy.
  4. Would be a fun trip. Went to Stony Brook a number of years ago for the game. Was a good excuse to see NYC and have a weekend getaway on top of the game.
  5. I'd like to see some more "Hey, we're coming back" posts like we got from the OL from guys like Jerry, Lance.........
  6. It is quite telling that we are having visits and not necessarily tying them to big hockey or basketball weekends. If we can get kids to see our facilities and meet with the staff, I think we'll win a lot of recruiting battles.
  7. May be true for some. Seidl, Fleming and Bluiett definitely don’t fit into that blanket statement.
  8. Not transfer portal but xfer to NFL draft. I think he was out of eligibility
  9. Cariveau's father and grandparents from EGF so the Eastsiders happily claim him too.
  10. I learned at the HOF weekend that Grant Noland is grandson of Terry Noland who was D Coordinator at UND 1980-83 and then had a long successful career as HC at Central Missouri . Their fb office complex is named for Terry. Terry was well liked and charismatic at UND and very good coach.
  11. How did their season go offensively? Interesting that Rogers went with a different OC at ISU.
  12. Does Danny have a landing spot yet? Have looked but didn’t see anything.
  13. Can we dispense with the 'heartfelt' love letters when players leave a school? They all do it but if they were believed all of what they post they wouldn't be leaving.
  14. It’s hard for me to pretend that we can keep our players if FBS schools really want them. Minimum $3M for a middling program like MN to retain 3 players. Can’t believe this is sustainable in long run.
  15. Unfortunately I’m still in stage 1 and it still bothers me.
  16. A lot of regression with the offense late in the year. Play calling, QB play, OL effectiveness. It all contributed to the downturn.
  17. Per Herald article Schmidt says they coached this point a lot. He falls on the sword but......... "We've talked about those things in fall camp," Schmidt said. "You can't leap the shield. You could run through the shield. You can't jump over it. As soon as I saw it it, it was like you can't do that. We've got to do a better job of coaching that. It's obviously not something we asked him to do. It was in the heat of the moment."
  18. You are correct, the OL was pretty good at times but not special. This was most obvious against the big boy DLs we played late in the like the SUs. We really didn't move them at all.
  19. Need a qb coach with some chops. Gotta be willing to spend some $$$ I'd guess. Hedberg was at UND 1996-1998 and left to take SCSU head job. Too bad we didn't get him back when he left SIU.
  20. Kind of like when we roughed the punter in playoff game against Richmond. When punt return team went on field they were told, whatever you do, don't run into the kicker. Kid got caught in between and got penalty for hitting kicker and kept big drive alive for them. Sometimes kids do stuff in heat of moment, trying to make a play.
  21. I'd be on board with Josh Morton if AD change. Experience at UND, then Mich St and now Augustana. Dealt with him a few times when he was at UND. I'm a nobody in the world of donors and UND athletics and he couldn't have been better to me.
