  1. Wow the puck is bouncing. Like many have said - shoot the damn puck. You never know where a pass might end up.
  2. FCS has been at 24 teams since 2013 season. Do you want to renounce the 8 titles NDSU has won during that time?
  3. We had a junior on our local hs girls team get over $50k two years ago.
  4. There are a number of us on here that believe what you are saying and support what you want to get accomplished. There are plenty of red flags with the program going back over the past 10-15 years to indicate that if things don't change we can't be successful.
  5. I talked with one hs senior/incoming freshman last spring and asked how it impacted her with Mal leaving. She said Hutter was the primary recruiter for her anyway. edit - I was talking to her and one of her parents regarding how it impacted her offer and commitment. Not regarding the play on the court.
  6. I’d love our guys to stay but hard to argue with the money. If a kid passes up $1M to stay at UND I’d wonder if he even learned anything in his business classes.
  7. When Calipari went to Arkansas 2 seasons ago he was guaranteed $5M for player payments. I remember thinking that was crazy. They’re now at $11.5M per this breakdown of Sweet 16 teams player money.
  8. There's just so much money out there available and it's growing incredibly with the revenue sharing agreement. U of MN basketball was believed to have $1M available for the 2024-25 season. Estimate for next season is $5-6M. The spare change they can find in the couch is enough to lure kids from schools like UND.
  9. It is possible that is looking to address your concerns and can't say much to anybody that is not in his chain of command. I know that would have been true in the corporation I worked for. It is also possible that he isn't going to do anything but even if he was he probably wouldn't say anything.
  10. Guessing referring to Abby Duchacherer. Former ND Miss Basketball who plays softball at Alabama. Is coming next year with one year left I believe.
  11. True. Just said more went in to the parents comments besides charter flights. That is getting all the focus on here but was only one of many things that were brought up.
  12. I see a huge gap between UND and the better teams in the conference. We don't exactly tear it up in recruiting and even then a majority of our team left after last year. I haven't dug too deep but other Summit teams get kids to commit earlier and get arguably more higher rated players. I am for looking at everything that goes into that. Coaches, facilities, travel, scholarships, NIL, etc. The level of 'nothing to see here' just because it came from a couple of parents of current players is amazing to me. They most certainly have some bias but are also closer to the program than probably 100% of the people on here. If we were killing it on the court it would be easier to dismiss but we've been bad for a long time through 3 head coaches over 10-12 years. The end of Brewster era, Bernhard, and now Hutter. I personally think Hutter deserves another year or two unless Chaves and others determine it is really that bad. I don't see things getting better anytime soon unless he can get some good portal players. Based on the comments from the parents on here we might actually go the other way and see another big exedus of players and assistant coaches.
  13. Was opportunity available to them to play for a team that does charter? I think you do understand the answer but want to make them say that. You fixate on the charters but they stated they were lied to during recruiting on how the players would be treated. "they tell you in a recruiting visit and when you ask about training table and catered once a day meals when the student athlete is in the building they say of course we do what all the other summit league schools do and then they take and show you the cafeteria in the mens hockey locker room and tell you that all comes from here"
  14. Not sure what you are angling for here. They have already stated that UND promised a number of things that didn't turn out to be true. They also stated that SDSU has their kids locked up by 8th or 9th grade. Guessing you want them to tell you their daughter didn't rise to that level. Could that be considered a personal attack? Maybe we should see what a moderator might think of that. Oh, wait........
  15. Beyond what is best for our current team, it is easy to see what a recruiting advantage it is for teams like SDSU that have those resources. I have seen many of our fb recruits state that the nutrition program we have for them was a difference maker in them committing to UND. If that is a big deal, imagine what chartering and they way they are treated does for SDSU. You can argue that it isn't something we should be doing but then don't be surprised when kids want to go other places.
  16. What they are saying is - we charter a bus to fargo to catch a commercial flight to save money instead of flying commercial out of GF or charter flight to another city.
  17. If 'name who you are' was the standard and was applied to everyone that posts on here a lot of big thoughts and big talk would disappear quickly.
  18. I obviously don't know but it could be a father or mother. It is usually best to take parents complaints with a grain of salt, but........a number of our players have parents who played and/or coached at a very high level so there is a non-zero chance that they know what they are talking about.
  19. It's usually easy to discount complaints from parents but this is well written and raises a lot of troubling concerns. It also seems to fit with what we saw on the court. I'm sorry your daughter is experiencing this and we should expect better. There are a lot of over the top parents out there but this sounds legitimate to me. Anybody that's played or had kids play at any level has seen some terrible coaches. Hopefully Chaves will get to the bottom of it and is willing to move on from Hutter if needed.
  20. I guess I can see that. The old saying 'it's school song time' should work too.
  21. Did Ohnstad get any run this year? Looks like 11 minutes per game. 3 ppg. She was highly recruited out of hs.
  22. I filled out my survey as well. Mentioned the time the PA was inaudible for nearly a half. I also suggested a cheap one sheet roster of both teams would be nice to have like they did for a while. It's a pain to find on phone and then go back to watching the game and then have open phone again. PIA and inconvenient. I was listening to USA WBC game a few nights ago and they played Freebird when the US got the third out to work out of a jam. Was thinking it was a great crossover. I don't think it would ever happen but made me think it would be great to have a common song played after goals, TDs, during timeouts after big bb runs, etc. I don't care if it's Freebird, Chelsea Dagger or something else. It would be a nice tie across the atheletic teams.
  23. Any idea how much NIL money UND mens bb has to spread around?
  24. thanks. Didn't know that. Over the past couple years I've missed hearing Jake saying 'it's now two nothin. Some good coachin there' Just the oppo of Alex with his over the top enunciation
  25. I know Alex is doing soccer but not sure why we lost Scanny too.
