NORTH DAKOTA vs. COLORADO COLLEGE - Thursday Final 5 7pm

Regroup. See what happens in the NCAAs. This team hasn't clicked or lived up to its potential. No way it's been playing it's best hockey yet. -

Hey, going into the tournament anything can happened. UND can beat anyone, but also get beat by anyone. They have no pressure on them, no one expects them to win this year. This could be the year they surprise everyone. That's when/how they'll win their next Natty. -

Regroup, rest, improve. Team looked a little sloppy out there. Gothberg in goal for next game no matter what. Keep the 4th line. I liked St. Clair Pattyn Cauggs. Take one game at a time mentality. Seniors and sophomore class really needs to step it up in the NCAAs. Need prouduction from Rowney, Mark Mac, Parks and Rocco. Lastly, take advantage of the NCAA tournament bid. With next years NCHC conference who knows if UND makes the tourney next year. -

If we win, I give Gothberg the nod tomorrow. Saunders position play is very poor tonight. Playing very deep in the net. -
I watched a lot of college hockey this year and Kristo has been the most consistent player throughout the year. With his speed and hands, he's generating offensive chances game in and game out. In my mind, he's been the best college player. No question. If UND can get past Colorado College tonight and Danny has a few points tonight and then have a few points against Minnesota regardless of a win or loss against Minnesota, Danny should set the bar as the front runner to win the Hobey.

NORTH DAKOTA vs MICHIGAN TECH - Sunday Game 3
SiouxForever replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
For a team that struggled last year and managed to accomplish so much, it's hard to believe the lack of development this year from so many players that were on the team last year. That's the most frustrating thing along with a somewhat veteran and very inconsistant D-corps. -

Would love to see the Sioux lose this Final Five. Can't win that many games in a row on to the Natty. Not this team. Focus on the Natty! -
NORTH DAKOTA @ MANKATO - Saturday WCHA finale

Hope the team gets beat early in the Final Five. Save their run for the Natty. -
Parks, Mattson.

No question. No doubt. Full compete level. Battle. No mental mistakes. Solid througout the line up. No soft players. No weak goals. 100 % committed and focused. Need to be a little loose. Level headed. Lunch-box mentality. Came to play. Full 60. One game at a time. Take it day by day. We're not worried about tomorrow. No Dzone turnovers. Missing any?

Anyone have troubles viewing the stream on kvly's website? Probably watch the championship game toinght. Anyone have any solutions? Could not get the stream working last night with safari or firefox.

What do you mean? They have no secondary scoring. In addition, outside of Suter, their defensive core is brutal. A bunch of name namers and low skill set on thier blue line. I said if Parise scored 50 goals this year had they played a full 82 game season, they'd still be a team on the outside looking in to make the playoffs.
-
Well they got that going for them...means a lot in Feb.

Yeah, I don't live in GF, but have been back there to experience JL Beers. I'd say it's the best burger in town. I can't think of a place in the town that comes close. Their frys are so-so, but I feel most burger places have average fries anywyas.
-
They're going to have to! Team will no longer have a sniper in Kristo, a great two forward in Knight, and a physical defensemen in Macwilliam. Scoring goals at the beginning of next year could become a problem. The current team as of now has a hard time scoring goals if your name isn't Corban, Danny, or Rocco.
-
I'll probably get voted down for this, but I think you should try having the UND flame logo at center ice. You should develop a concept. I'd like to see what that looks like. I agree, our current center ice design is to bland.
-
Mitch Mac should have been slowly implemented into the line up. He should have started on the 3rd line and worked his way up from there. Glad he scored a big goal in the Colorado College series. I think his days on the top unit are done. He still fits into the the line up, I think come end of the season.
-
Seriously, is Chyzk off the team or what? He had more points than St. Clair at their time at the Fargo Force. He must of screwed himself by doing something.
-
Welp, according to "Through These Doors", Mitch Macmillian is still on numero uno line. I personally, would like to see Rocco there. You have to think the squad loads up that first line eventually by the end of the year. My predictions of the line up for tomorrow: Mitch Mac - Knight - Kristo Mark Mac - Rowney - Parks Drake - Rocco - St. Clair Jim - Pattyn - Rodwell Something has to be up with Chyzk too. From what I've seen from his play earlier this year, he would seem to at least find a way to earn a spot on the fourth line. I wonder if there was an off ice incident with him or something, not speculating and it's not my business, but i find it odd he can't crack the line up.
-
Team is missing physicaltiy and a solid D core. Would have been nice to have Brock Nelson still and Seth Jones would have helped the average D corps tremdiously. Team is still underutilizing Rocco.
-
Appearently you don't recall the RPM (Rowney, Parks, Mark) line from last year. They were a scoring threat for the Sioux in the second half of the season last year.
-
I just want to see Rocco playing with a higher skill set of players on his line. I'd like to see Rocco - Knight - Kristo or Parks - Rocco - Mark Mac It's time to see what Rocco can really do with more high end skill. We saw a glimpse against Team USA in the exhibition game when he was paired with Knight and Kristo.
-
I have a feeling this series is where you'll see Pattyn finally get the opportunity to drop the gloves in/when necessary.
-
And so it should finally begin: The RPM line (Rowney - Parks - Mitch Mac) goes back together. Grimaldi - Knight - Kristo It's time for Rocco to play with players with a higher skill set. It's the second half of the season. UND needs to secure two top offensive lines while finally establishing their third line. Looking at O'd being back in the line up too. He needs a goal tonight for confidence.
-
O'Donnell finally getting the message sent to him. He looks like a different player this year than he was last year before he got injured. He had 5 goals prior to injury and he seemed like he was stronger and more cofident on the puck than he is this year. He has a decent skill set and understands the game welll. Time for him to embrace this adversity and pick up his play for the second half. It starts in practice.
