I think it's interesting as we no longer have a nickname, the "let's go sioux" chants with the crowd has become almost non-existant. I remember growing up and going to the new and old ralph and loved joining in on that chant to get the team fired up. Too bad that's regressed....

Don't want to discredit the Eagles, but good win by UND. Pretty impressive UND is playing well without St. Clair, Olson and Stercher. I think we keep Poolman up front when the guys return. He adds a key component this team is missing up front. St. Clair and Olson also bring key elements to the team. Need them in the line up.

Not a true Wild fan but have to comment. :-) I saw this coming prior to the year. A few things that stick out: - How do you not soldify you goalie situation at the start of the year - Why did you sign Vanek? Only the Minnesota faithful wanted this. We've see this time and time again with Minnesota sports. Vanek is going to fizzle like Danny Heatly and get paid his major contract and ride out the two remaining years - You can't buy a team with two/three players. Minnesota fans had this reality distortion mindset that Suter and Parise + the signing of Vanek make they a better team. It doesn't work in the sport of hockey and espcialy in the NHL. You need a team to win the championship. Role players and depth are critical during the playoffs - Why is the team so soft? Is it the Minnesota nice ignornace? Ask around in the league, the Wild have to be one of the easiet teams to play against - Systems and structure. Still to this day, I still don't think Minnesota as a team and culture has a true style or rather identity on how they play and are known for.

How'd Murphy do? Anything?

It sure would be nice if UND could land one of three in regards to Boseur, Mattherw or rmaybe persuade Thacktuk.

Thos who were at or watched the game on TV, how did Evers and Gershich look? In addition, how was Matthew Thacktuk?

What's your point? Winter classic is a bigger event based on the branding and marketing. Your average joe doesn't know about the Hertiage Classic. You can't convulude things for your average hockey fan and confuse or complicate it.

Toronto is the only Canadian team that deserved one based on fan base, tradition and rivalry with wings. Montreal has a nice squad currently but isn't going to draw a large enough audience stateside. It's that simple as to why Canadian teams aren't in this event. Let alone you have the World Juniors currently going on regarding Canadian interest. I trust the smart marketing people at the NHL. They're not stupid.

Sorry, everyone outside the state of MN does not want to see the MN Wild play. Think God the commissioner didn't cave in. Look how bad the Wild have been lately. That would have been a nightmare. You might not be from MN, but MN as a whole needs to get their ego's in check. Such arrogant and naive people in that state. Outside of MN, people mock their professional sports teams and medocrity as they should. To your credit, you might not be a Wild fan, but I needed to vent.

You're not very bright, but opionionated Ice conditions are great. A star will not get injuryed, in addition, a star could get injured in a normal game too. Take your risk for the reward. Also outdoor games generate buzz for the NHL. They've done a great job. It gets better every year. It's called marketing. What would you do to differentiate the NHL from the rest of sports? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Are you kidding me?! You think Eichel would leave his BU team and new friends and go out like that? Not a chance. Demko leaving BC might make some traction.

We are winning and finding ways to win. Improvements for the next half. Face offs Breakouts. We have horrible no flow breakouts where our guys are standing flat footed. Could be because we are banged up at the moment, but need improvement. Denver broke out the puck real nice. Mimic them. Small passes and plays. Totally need to improve on this area all over the rink. Friday nigiht against Miami, the guys did this well and probably played their best game of the year. Forecheck and sustain possession. Can't generate offense when you don't have the puck. Board play. Strength. Need to improve on strong sticks and battles up and down the ice. We can be an easy team to play against. We are fast, though. Seen almost every game this year and think our best game was Friday night against Miami. Our squad still hasn't played that well imo. However, it is only December. Go Sioux!

This is a good weekend for our team to piss pound an opponent and get a sweep. The boys should be determined and a little selfish to put up some points on the stat sheet this weekend. If I am Wade Murphy and I am playing, I am scoring that 1st career college goal at no cost. You would have to pull me off the ice. Time for a statment. Get it done!

I wonder how this kid feels when he saw that horrible UND team make the frozen four. In addition, this horrible UND team this year that is #1 in the country in the Polls (I know they''re just polls and it is only Dec). He made a quick choice to bolt for various reasons, but a lot of those reasons are on him. He needed some weight on him. He reminded my of Brock Nelson as a freshie. I still feel that Tambo quit way too early. Oh, well...

Boy and Girls, Nice win. You people need to realize the boys in green and white are banged up. Just because certain players are on the ice doesn't mean they are playing at 100%. We have some players playing through some bad injuries. Good, gritty win. I don't think we can always hold onto a lead like that in the 3rd. That is not the receipe for sucess. UNO -- They are good team. They skate and transition up the ice really well. If their goalie can continuue to play well they will continue to win. Last thought. Keaton and Pogs are playing well. It will be nice when Pogs starts finisihing a few chances. What a big body for a freshie. He works hard.

They should demote Murphy to the club team for a bit. He needs to score a few goals to get the monkey off his back :-) . HIs biggest problem is confidence right now. Friday night he looked okay and also tossed his body around a bit (you don''t generally seem him do that). I think once he gets that first goal his game will come back. Can you imagine almost playing 1 1/2 years of hockey and not scoring a goal when you were a decent sniper your whole life? Must be difficult. It'll come. Well, for his sake, I sure hope so... P.S. it's not easy scoring goals in college hockey. Look at Taylor Cammarta for the Gophers, 1 goal in 10 games? Yikes!

At the moment, this team lacks a spark up front if your name is not Parks, Cags, Mac. We need LJ, OD, or Murphy (to get the monkey off his back) to ignite the team. St. Clair given his role, has been that guy in certain games and added a goal here and there, but those three that I mentioned need to do more. D-core last night, that was the wost offensive production game from them all year. St. Cloud is a good team, give them credit. Team started out great for the first 10 mins. 2nd period was pretty even with at times, St. Cloud dictating the play. The 3rd period was just bad. OD you might as well sit tonight. Lastly, when we have Olson in the line up, guess what? We win. He should be in the line up every game imo. Poganksi looked great last night. HIs best game. Making hits and moving his feet. Just keep preaching two hands on the stick with him. He's getting there. What a big body for a freshie. Regroup. Battle. Win tonight.
