  1. I just want to see St. Claire and Olson in the line up. Also, I never want to see Mac-Parks-OD as s line again. No more.
  2. I think that some of you are missing the points when it comes to the line up. Trevor Olson, will be in the line up and Sanderson will not be. Olson, is a grinder foward with grit but unlike the million other grinders on our current team now, he can put the puck in the net. In additon, after assessing Pogs skill, once he develops more too, no way he sits out. He's a lot better than Sanderson will ever be. If Chyzk struggles he'll sit some games too, he's going to have to earn his time. I don't see St. Clair sitting unless he goes into a serious poor play slump. He'll be used for PK and he always hustles and goes hard and doesn't help or hurt the team on his shifts. I think Olson sat due to his freshman slip up and the coaches sent hiim a message. This team has potential to do great things, they need to stay focused and if one guy wants to have fun, well, they don't have time for that, especially this year. Asmus looked decent with his physcality. His feet work needs to continue to get better, but he looks like he has some confidence in his game. Poolman for his for college game looked a little rough, but looked better than most freshman d-men in quite sometime, he's only just a freshie. He'll be good. I like his size too. Long reach like Ladue, that's not a bad thing. Wade Murphy, good for him to score a goal even though it was an exhibition game. Hopefullly, that feeling will bring back a lot of confidence. He didn't play too bad. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, N. Scmaltz made an unreal pass! OD looked better than Macmillan and Parks. Good for him. If OD can continue to play with confidence all year, this team has an extra scoroing threat. That would be nice. Cam Johnson in net, he could be a real good goalie. I watched him in warm ups, his preferred style is stand up, he doesn't good down in the butterfly all the time. I love that! He seems pretty confident in his abilities. Keaton Thompson. Wow! Can this kid fly and make the simple and nice breakout pass. He has unlimted potential. He just keeps getting better. He's going to be scary good come the end of the year. Final statement - Better take notice of this d-core all year. It is the best in the nation and it's going to be a treat to watch all year. We have not had a d-unit like this in over 10+ years. The skill, speed and unique styles of each d-personality is what makes this group so special. We're going to look back at this d-squad and remember how spoiled we were with that makeup for this particular year.
  3. I just want to see some chemistry... about 6 goals from the good guys, some decent plays, don't expect too much, it is early. And finally, no injuries and would love to see the other goaltenders get a period or about 10 mins each.
  4. A lot of our success will fall on Pattyn (you know what you're getting there) OD, and Chyzk. We need all three to have their best years, yet and get off on a hot start.
  5. He still has mixed emotions about UND. His time was great and experience...and he is probably more than greatful. However, remember his little brother, David? Yeah, overall, his brother didn't have the best experience at UND. Not UND's fault there, can't control some of the decisions David made at UND, but the bitterneess from Johnny starts there.
  6. CAN WE CLOSE AND DELETE THIS THREAD? ENOUGH!
  7. I don't have any hope for Sanderson. Probably a great kid, not his fault. Johnny Simo will get a chance. He will have to earn it and be patient, but I think that will come. What are everyones thoughts on Murphy? He seemed like a lost puppy last year in college. Does he surprise us this year? I am not getting my hopes up. I wish him well, though.
  8. I think Poolman plays a lot. He's 6'3 has skill and is mature beyond his years. I think Trevor Olson plays a lot too. They will give him a lot of opportunity. He has maturity and a gritty game. Pogs will be giving a shot right away. He needs to prove that he can transiton to this level. It's going to be be an interesting year. Don't hold your breath, just because there are some veteran players on this team that they are going to play. Those players have had their chances. Time for new blood if they don't produce.
  9. Let's start guessing subjective lines. It's time baby!!!
  10. I personally think we should be called the wet bandits. Think home alone :_0
  11. If you want to talk about consisdancency Ryan Duncan was that. Guy is a true example for younger and upcoming Sioux players on what it takes to play at the college level. A great player and very well respected.
  12. That's a good question. I didn't really mind Gage playing up front at times. He added some physicality on the fourth line. We may be too deep with forwards for that to happen this year...
  13. Only if UND had a true leader like Henry Boucha during the times of the NCAA lawsuit against the Univeraity. Oh, wait, we had President Kelly...
  14. I think some of us posters are missing the boat on certain incoming freshman. I would expect Trevor Olson and Johnny Simonson to get a much needed look ealry on, since they are older incoming freshman. Poganski will more than likely have a little first half learning curve. Our X-factors this year will be O'Donnel and Chzyk. They need to make big strides. I thought Gage Ausmus did pretty well last year when he was in the lineup. I like the different elements in his game and what he brings to the team. However, where does he fit? No way Poolman sits out from what I've read on him. Thoughts on Gage?
  15. How many 1st rounders where on Union's winning team? How many 1st rounders being at UND have won a NCAA Championship? Exactly.... next question.
  16. It's not his fault he's not better than the current newcomers and returners. If you're better and want to play, earn your time. Simple.
  17. Getting back to the newest UND jersey. It would be interesting to see the volume of sales on those. I am sure jersey sales have dropped significanlty obvioulsy, since they retired the logo and went with the newer jersey now three years ago? I plan to never own one of those. Might consider buying a newer jersey with a new nickname down the road, but we shall see...
  18. Find an older player somewhere. They're out there. Big pool out there. Do the right thing, coaches.
  19. We do need Rocco next year. Just like we needed Brock Nelson the year when Knight and Kristo were seniors. The team will be good with or without Rocco, but it appears in my mind, the team will reach their goal with Rocco being on the team next year. It's that simple. If you think him leaving doesn't play a huge impact and disrupt next years team, you're delusional.

    Wowsa

She's an attractive girl, but he could do so much better. You know that girl doesn't have a brain. There's plenty of talent out there..., surprised Toews chose a gf like that, superficial, partier, no degree etc.
  21. Anyone have a linke to listen to the game?
  22. Next year, I think we just load up on forwards and D. If Ausmus and Poolman have to sit out here and there, so be it. They'll get plenty of ice when they're juniors and seniors. Like I said, bring whomever in, load up. It's time to completely dominate. We have not had that luxury for the past 3 seasons due to various reasons that I don't want to list. We all know.
  23. Best part of next year is that we'll have resources upfront and the forwards will have to compete and play with consistency or they won't be in the lineup. I say bring in as many forwards as possible. We lose Rodwell up front and that's it. Remember, Tambo left, opens an option to bring in a forward earlier and Panzeralla is a d-man not a forward. If the older freshman fowards come in and produce, Murphy, OD, Chyzk could sit here and there. We'll have enough numbers to have one grinder line with Patyn, St. Clair, Gaarder. We don't need 4 lines of that makeup next year. Mac Millian and Drake need to take huge strides next year. I expect Rocco and Parks to continue to develop. Luke needs to work on foot speed and diet this off-season. Needs to get quicker. It starts with that. I don't expect Sanderson to play one game at all. Probably a great kid, not going to get ice time. Murphy is going to have to regroup this off-season mentally and refocus. The junior class soon to be Seniors next year has been giving plenty of opportunity throughout their time at UND. If these incoming freshman step in and can produce more offense and can contribute, play them!
