This is a good weekend for our team to piss pound an opponent and get a sweep. The boys should be determined and a little selfish to put up some points on the stat sheet this weekend. If I am Wade Murphy and I am playing, I am scoring that 1st career college goal at no cost. You would have to pull me off the ice. Time for a statment. Get it done!

I wonder how this kid feels when he saw that horrible UND team make the frozen four. In addition, this horrible UND team this year that is #1 in the country in the Polls (I know they''re just polls and it is only Dec). He made a quick choice to bolt for various reasons, but a lot of those reasons are on him. He needed some weight on him. He reminded my of Brock Nelson as a freshie. I still feel that Tambo quit way too early. Oh, well...

Boy and Girls, Nice win. You people need to realize the boys in green and white are banged up. Just because certain players are on the ice doesn't mean they are playing at 100%. We have some players playing through some bad injuries. Good, gritty win. I don't think we can always hold onto a lead like that in the 3rd. That is not the receipe for sucess. UNO -- They are good team. They skate and transition up the ice really well. If their goalie can continuue to play well they will continue to win. Last thought. Keaton and Pogs are playing well. It will be nice when Pogs starts finisihing a few chances. What a big body for a freshie. He works hard.

They should demote Murphy to the club team for a bit. He needs to score a few goals to get the monkey off his back :-) . HIs biggest problem is confidence right now. Friday night he looked okay and also tossed his body around a bit (you don''t generally seem him do that). I think once he gets that first goal his game will come back. Can you imagine almost playing 1 1/2 years of hockey and not scoring a goal when you were a decent sniper your whole life? Must be difficult. It'll come. Well, for his sake, I sure hope so... P.S. it's not easy scoring goals in college hockey. Look at Taylor Cammarta for the Gophers, 1 goal in 10 games? Yikes!

At the moment, this team lacks a spark up front if your name is not Parks, Cags, Mac. We need LJ, OD, or Murphy (to get the monkey off his back) to ignite the team. St. Clair given his role, has been that guy in certain games and added a goal here and there, but those three that I mentioned need to do more. D-core last night, that was the wost offensive production game from them all year. St. Cloud is a good team, give them credit. Team started out great for the first 10 mins. 2nd period was pretty even with at times, St. Cloud dictating the play. The 3rd period was just bad. OD you might as well sit tonight. Lastly, when we have Olson in the line up, guess what? We win. He should be in the line up every game imo. Poganksi looked great last night. HIs best game. Making hits and moving his feet. Just keep preaching two hands on the stick with him. He's getting there. What a big body for a freshie. Regroup. Battle. Win tonight.

Keep in mind that LA just signed Jamie McBain. He was playing in the KHL and now will be back in the NHL. It was one year deal, but if he does well, I could see Lee hanging on to him. He is young still and has a lot of NHL experience.

St. Clair never disappoints when he is in the line up. Hustle and effort is always there. Murphy had looked really good in practice up to the season starting. When in, he hasn't done much. I am okay giving him a few more chances to get his game back. Keaton imo deserves a game. Our D are playing great. Can't sit a guy. In addition, Troy and Gage look improved and Poolman is a stud. Already has 3 goals. Not Keaton's fault he can't get in at the moment.

Toews and Oshie both had different body makeups from their freshman years to sophomore years. I was at UND living in Walsh as a freshie just like them. Oshie and Toews were fairly skinny in August of '05 and throughout that year. Yes, they both put on weight throughout their freshman year. For the record, Toews was not 6-2 from day 1 at UND too. He grew in his timeframe at UND too.

Toews did add some much needed muscle over the summer after his freshman year. He still needed to build up strength and consistency in college. He wasn't taking a beating... opposition and players were abusing and taking liberties on him. Just watch Jack Eichel skate once. No argument needed. Toews is no slouch though when it comes to his skating abilities.

No, I do not think the same on this. We knew Toews would be an NHL players, we didn't know he would turn out this good. In addition, he had to gain strength and muscle still. Jack Eichel is 6-2 195 can fly like the wind. He is ready. You can't teach his foot speed that he has. Toews did not have that asset, hence him building strength and consistency in playing one more year of college hockey. And yes, it is guaranteed. You haven't had a USA talent like this since Patrick Kane. Don't kid yourself. MacDavid and Eichel are rare talents!

Jack Eichel has no business playing one more year of college hockey. He could be a 1 line center in the NHL. He will not play another year at BU. Just ain't gonna happen. However, N. Schmatlz will be playing another year at UND because the Blackhawks have too much depth. :-) You have to realize Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid are the best 1-2 punch since Ovie the great and Malkin. Both players are playing in the NHL next year. No matter what, no question. Just wait to see what these two do at the world juniors!

And the player on the ice for both of them? Pattyn, sorry, general I do like you, but you're not cut out for these scenaros. Stick to PK.

Poolman is going to be scary good. Paul is great and very talented too but it took him a little time to transition to college level last year. Not so much for Poolman. 2 goals already for a freshie d-man on the year? Holy buckets. The opposition should be afraid very afraid. No matter what happens this year, we're going to look back at this d-core years down the road and see how spoiled we are. It's great to see the d chip in offensively every night.

The fans deserve a better outcome., Attendance was great on opening night and they laid an egg. I've been going to game my entire life and lost interest around the second period and had to start eating/drinking and socializing because it was so bad. Couldn't watch any longer.

Just keep the same personnel we had in springs, unless injury then Murphy gets a shot. Keep rotating Keaton, Mattson or whomever. Gage and Stetcher stay put for now with their play. Gage - Please quit taking penalties every game. Parks - You played well in Springs. Now let's get some goals. It's time. Overall D - Tighten up for this series on the backend. Forwards - continue to make small passes and plays. Keep crashing the net. Get pucks on net. Let's go!

It comes down to IT infrastructure. And don't give me that crap web feeds don't work. I have had NHL game center for four years now. No issues. Standardize the equipment accross the NCHC. Problem solved.

He is with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Evidently, he did not have a good trainning camp and hasn't played much.

You guys realize if they are going to do anything this year, we need production from OD-Parks-Mac ? This might be reading this. You're killing their confidence. ;-)

My last two cents... I know the team did not have an off-day this week after playing the exhibiton game on Sunday. They do have intense business-like practices. Could have we been a little tired from the work week? No excuses with the home opener in the sold out crowd etc. But maybe our guys were feeling a little fatigue? Tonight I can't give them that excuse because they have to play and win no matter what.

Not to through Macmillan under the bus but he has done nothing in the exhibition game and now this game too. Hak needs to challenge him. Is that Mark out there? He sure is looking like his brother Mitch lately on the ice and we don't want that. I want't Chyzk to play with some better players. Split up the senior line. I want Olson in the lineup. I want Sanderson out of the line up. I want the coaches to teach Pogs to have two hands on his stick more. He also fell a ton last night. He's got to be better than that. :-) I want a statement win tonight. They don't need to win 6-1. I want to see compete level and relentless effort with better play in all areas and facets of the game. Zane regroup. You got this. Taylor Swift one said, "Shake it off" ;-)

I just want to see St. Claire and Olson in the line up. Also, I never want to see Mac-Parks-OD as s line again. No more.

I think that some of you are missing the points when it comes to the line up. Trevor Olson, will be in the line up and Sanderson will not be. Olson, is a grinder foward with grit but unlike the million other grinders on our current team now, he can put the puck in the net. In additon, after assessing Pogs skill, once he develops more too, no way he sits out. He's a lot better than Sanderson will ever be. If Chyzk struggles he'll sit some games too, he's going to have to earn his time. I don't see St. Clair sitting unless he goes into a serious poor play slump. He'll be used for PK and he always hustles and goes hard and doesn't help or hurt the team on his shifts. I think Olson sat due to his freshman slip up and the coaches sent hiim a message. This team has potential to do great things, they need to stay focused and if one guy wants to have fun, well, they don't have time for that, especially this year. Asmus looked decent with his physcality. His feet work needs to continue to get better, but he looks like he has some confidence in his game. Poolman for his for college game looked a little rough, but looked better than most freshman d-men in quite sometime, he's only just a freshie. He'll be good. I like his size too. Long reach like Ladue, that's not a bad thing. Wade Murphy, good for him to score a goal even though it was an exhibition game. Hopefullly, that feeling will bring back a lot of confidence. He didn't play too bad. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, N. Scmaltz made an unreal pass! OD looked better than Macmillan and Parks. Good for him. If OD can continue to play with confidence all year, this team has an extra scoroing threat. That would be nice. Cam Johnson in net, he could be a real good goalie. I watched him in warm ups, his preferred style is stand up, he doesn't good down in the butterfly all the time. I love that! He seems pretty confident in his abilities. Keaton Thompson. Wow! Can this kid fly and make the simple and nice breakout pass. He has unlimted potential. He just keeps getting better. He's going to be scary good come the end of the year. Final statement - Better take notice of this d-core all year. It is the best in the nation and it's going to be a treat to watch all year. We have not had a d-unit like this in over 10+ years. The skill, speed and unique styles of each d-personality is what makes this group so special. We're going to look back at this d-squad and remember how spoiled we were with that makeup for this particular year.

I just want to see some chemistry... about 6 goals from the good guys, some decent plays, don't expect too much, it is early. And finally, no injuries and would love to see the other goaltenders get a period or about 10 mins each.

You could add Chyzk on that list too.
