I just want to see Rocco playing with a higher skill set of players on his line. I'd like to see Rocco - Knight - Kristo or Parks - Rocco - Mark Mac It's time to see what Rocco can really do with more high end skill. We saw a glimpse against Team USA in the exhibition game when he was paired with Knight and Kristo.
-
I have a feeling this series is where you'll see Pattyn finally get the opportunity to drop the gloves in/when necessary.
-
And so it should finally begin: The RPM line (Rowney - Parks - Mitch Mac) goes back together. Grimaldi - Knight - Kristo It's time for Rocco to play with players with a higher skill set. It's the second half of the season. UND needs to secure two top offensive lines while finally establishing their third line. Looking at O'd being back in the line up too. He needs a goal tonight for confidence.

O'Donnell finally getting the message sent to him. He looks like a different player this year than he was last year before he got injured. He had 5 goals prior to injury and he seemed like he was stronger and more cofident on the puck than he is this year. He has a decent skill set and understands the game welll. Time for him to embrace this adversity and pick up his play for the second half. It starts in practice.

This is a Sioux team that lacks physicality on offense and defense. Haven't seen a team lose perimeter battles this bad in years. Kristo, MacMillan, and Rocco can't provide the offense every game too. Passing and transition play is bad too, but we've seen poor play there for the last few games. A healthy Parks will be nice. Maybe Mitch Macmillian adds something to the team after the semester. The team needs a spark!

The reffing in the league has been brutal for years. What is anyone going to do about it? Oh, that's right, nothing! It is what it is. Nothing is going to change.
-
Toss out the refs excuses people! St. Cloud dominated many facets of the game. They won many board battles, out skating UND and their D stepped up all night creating havoc for UND's transition game in the neutral zone while trying to obtain/enter the offensive zone. St. Cloud was better and deserved to win tonight.

Gleason was on the ice for more than a few goals. Time for him to sit.
-
I really like the squad this year. I think they'll progress throughout the year week by week. I really miss not having Brock Nelson on the team. I was anticipating him putting up 30 - 40 goals this year. Gosh, that would have been nice!
-
I had a month trial to get the Manitoba, USA, and both Alaksa games. The webcast quality was horrible. Nothing like last year. I won't be purchasing anymore games for the rest of the season.
-
And being a grittier team too. Gopher players think they're all All-Stars and don't have to get dirty or battle in the corners. Usually a majority of their players are pre-madonas, but everyone knows that's expected with Gophers players.
-
Again, anyone know if there's a webcast for tonights game against UAF?
-
Tonights game on webcast on the Fairbanks website? Anyone know? Someone provide info and a link, please.

What an all-around team effort. I guess this shouldn't surprise me with the personnel that was on the team last year.
-
If you were going to tell me the Sioux would be up 5-0 in the 3rd period tonight, given their situation, I would have said, not a chance in hell. This is pretty darn amazing!
-
Done. Let's get this thread back on it's initial topic.
-
Yeah, what was I thinking? Budish is one of the best college hockey players in the nation. He'll probably be up for Hobey Baker and he'll probably play in the NHL for 5-10 years becuase there is a shortage of 6'3" bodies in the NHL and the AHL who have strong play along the boards. Get real!
-
That's fine by me. I'll stand by comments about the kid. Time will tell. Maybe, just maybe he'll prove me wrong. We shall see...
-
Just waiting for a knowledgable rebutal from you regarding Budish. So far you have nohing, but arrogant remarks. You're very good at defending your boy... You haven't listed anything to persuade me to think differently. You'd be one helleva of a person on a debate team.
-
Ahh, Michael Parks is far superior than Zach Budish along the boards. Michael Parks protects the puck better than "most" players in all college hockey. He's one of the best. Zach Budish is not better than: Knight, Kristo, Rocco, Rowney, McMillian or Parks. Given a healthy year by O' Donnel, I expect Brenden O' Donnel to develop and be a better player than Zach Budish. No question. And yes, I've seen Budish play. C'mon, dude!

Okay...

And those were the people that didn't' watch the Sioux on a regular basis that year. Ryan Duncan was the most consistent player each and every night, regardless of him playing with Toews and Oshie. It was pretty obvious to notice.
-
I have no hatred towards Minnesota on this current topic. I know a good hockey player when I see one, and Budish is far from that. He has a long way to go. And about Michigan St. I watched both games this weekend. They were not an offensive threat and at times, my friends and I laughed as they stood still in their own end on 5 - 5. It was brutal, every player had their skates planted, while the Gophers looked like they were on a Power Play.

Weekly odds that the game is broadcast nationally.
SiouxForever replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Maybe, just maybe, Midco Sports Network and UND Athletics should have agreed and televised the first women's hockey home game series and tried to get the kinks out and situated before the Men's season began. There should have been a plan and this should have been implemented in the contract right away to work out the kinks and avoid this on-going backlash about the broadcasting and inferior quality. -
Too bad, he doesn't!
