Tailgating is good - it's not FU sized but there are two parking lots that are full of season tailgaters and they sell day passes also. You can just pay $5 to park on site and not tailgate. +There are at least two food vendors on site selling food and plenty of picnic tables plus they have live music and there is usually one restaurant giving food away. You can usually strike up a conversation with anyone and food usually follows. Stop by the Sioux Pride Van and say hi- we're big on socializing and keep the food simple but you are welcome.

SDSU must have a top 5 schedule for toughness - The Nebraska next week followed by FU the following week.

We lost, we didn't get blown out but it sure shows we need a couple more years of weightlifting for our lines to catch up and another year or two of DI recruiting. The coach doesn't: Fumble so it goes from third and short to a turnover deep in our territory Throw interceptions Drop passes Hit guys out of bounds Miss the fact that SDSU had the clock run out before they put the ball in play (late in the fourth) So SDSU goes from what should have been third and long from inside the 10 to first and 20 from the 25 (how does a ref miss that - it was about 2 seconds late - that was a game changer and the guys from SDSU sitting beside me agreed.)

"Fire -insert coach name here" threads accomplish nothing, it's okay to discuss what the team needs to do to turn a ship around. A true fan of a college team (which as a reminder is made up of student-athletes) doesn't start those types of threads.

Actually I saw that game live - yah they were losing, don't know of many coaches that throw chairs when they are winning. Not going to debate the legacy of Bobby Knight it speaks for itself.

I think by now we all know who are the Mussman haters are here and will be the first to start the Fire Mussman page. At the end of the day it's a game played by students who are going to school for an education first (or at some schools just going to school to play football). Just enjoy the season for what it is - recreation and socialization opportunties.

I'm thinking UND is not having any trouble filling our schedule, compared to others. Time to close this thread before FU trolls break their arm patting themselves on the back.

Looking at the schedule I would also like to see a solid winning season and that is accomplishable even with an SDSU loss. I'm not trying to justify or prepare for a loss or defend medocrity - with the toughest schedule in the country there are going to be bumps along the way. What I think is idiotic is starting up a Fire Mussman thread after the first loss and feeding the thread the entire season. Not seeing how that helps the team or it's future.

I'm sure that is the team's goal also and mine but I'm not going out on a ledge or calling for a coach's head on a public forum if they don't go 11-0.

Just wondering what the expectations are for an unranked UND taking on #6 SDSU.

How far apart are Duke and North Carolina, Louisville and Kentucky - there are plenty of quality schools that are within the same area. No ducks and bunnies here but also not going out on the ledge either.

Long snaps were a little shaky last week - special teams will be a factor. The first series will be a reality check for our boys - I think the Jackrabbits are going to hit a little harder than Valpo. It would definitely be a signature win and it is possible - not gonna be easy though and not gonna be the end of the season or playoff chances if we lose. Although I am certain there are some that have their "Fire Mussman" thread ready to post.
