A pissing match about who can find the library - the number of FU trolls that frequent here is a microcosm of why UND is and will continue to be more influential than FU - they can't stop monitoring us and making sure they respond to every comment so we understand how superior FU is. Once again there is a story about who is #1 and who is #2 and it's in the same order it usually is...buttfootball.

I would guess the reason the Herald ran it had more to do with Time Magazine running with it than any perceived need to pump up UND. It was timely and had a local focus.

Uh no - a little higher - but please let's not get into degrading any job professions - it's kind of juvenile. Last job I had that told me what I had to do step by step was generations ago. If you have any kind of educated job at all they don't tell you how to do it, they set expectations and accountabilities and assume you have the intelligence. skill and education to achieve them. So is this also what you would put on a job listing for his replacement - I don't think I've ever seen a job listing that tells you how to do a job.

With all due respect - other than the perpetual hot seat that every coach is put on here - how do you identify that a coach is really on the hot seat? From the reality standpoint I'm not seeing how a coach that has a three year contract and just finished #2 in the conference is on the hot seat within the UND Adminstration.

I love how head to head no longer matters. I highly doubt that Kentucky/Louisville or Auburn/Alabama or other instate rival fans feel the same...unless you are the team losing. Yup FU mens BB had a great season I could almost root for them if it wasnt for their trolls

I'm not going to do the research but I would like to see the comparision of the years of experience with this staff versus last year's staff. I'm happy for the upgrade and as always will continue to support the team.

Come on - this is a fan site - lighten up - it's okay to talk about the positives - no one is saying it was a great season - there were disappointments - this team perhaps underperformed (or expectations were too high) We had a fun team to follow the past four years - including one of the best players in UND history - it's all going to change next year. However I must say that in the past there were plenty of coaches that would tell you that beating FU was one of the most important things to accomplish in a year - I can agree that with them no longer being in the same conference it has lost some of its glitter. (plus also it's not that difficult).

I'm excited and supportive of the future, just need to keep it in perspective, this is the first year that money was made available to pay assistant coaches a salary that would allow for hiring guys with experience. The transition was run on a bare-bones budget, Faison refused to open up the wallet until he had allowed it to slip so far it was obvious and he had no other choice - he comes out looking like a rose but really it was him that put the program in the situation.

Yup I think the agreed upon term should be "UND fans "support" their team." My trip is 90 miles to MSP and every year I am reacquainted with many who set aside the weekend every year to support UND - the distance traveled varies. If the women's basketball team would have been in Iowa I think there would have been a nice contingency there as well - the men in Omaha on a Wednesday night - that's tough even for the die hards.

It will be me and as many as will fit in my car - so about 5 total.

Sadly it's obvious this post applies to many who post on this site it's reduced to back and forth arguments by people who support the same team mixed in with some trolls.

True - spring ball won't tell us much either but it will help dust the cobwebs off the tailgating stuff.
