  1. I seem to remember there were punishments issued by the team and the school which had long-range repercussions including attending sessions, harder punishments on new similar incidences (including lost scholarships) - but once again it's time to change the subject when the subject makes you uncomfortable.
  2. USD is a very driveable road game - we won't have too many of them anymore.
  3. Kinda like the "Major Gift' those su football players gave the state when they defrauded the petitions and walked away from their community service.
  4. Took me one second to find this: Flagship university" is used to refer to the first established public research university in a given state. A state’s flagship university is typically research-intensive, grants doctoral degrees, and competes in NCAA Division I athletics. Now perhaps you could start a petition to change history - if so I think you know where you can find some guys to get you the signatures and they won't even have to ask for work release.
  5. Once again change the subject - but wow what a misguided and uninformed question. UND has dozens of hockey players that are millionaires that love the school - it is announced quite often how hockey players are funding scholarships, attending fundraisers, coming back to campus and working with local kids and the current team. You are so interested in UND perhaps you should get on the mailing list for the alumni magazine then you would know. How much do you thing the petition frauds artist will give back - think they'll ever be featured in FU's alumni magainze or that they'll be invited to future FU golf tournaments - if so you better not leave your wallet in the club house.
  6. Let's get this thread back on topic: Three of the 15 people who pleaded guilty to petition fraud charges in Cass County last fall – all three of them former North Dakota State University football players – failed to complete the community service required by their probation agreements, authorities allege in court records.A fourth ex-player among the group of defendants – which at the time the charges were filed in September included 10 current Bison football players and three former players – was accused of checking in for his required community service jobs and then ditching out, once when he was supposed to be filling sandbags in Fargo. So after spending at least 4 years "studying" at FU these four "forever bison" chose to walk away from their responsibilities and throw their school, team and coach under the bus - which is what they did by making this a public issue once again. Wonder if there will be an asterisk by their name in the FU champions room.
  7. Daryl you're doing a great job of keeipng the trolls busy takes their mind on the police blotter reports, their open football schedule and the crumbling conference.
  8. Bison Pride - lots of charactor and integrity on that team - where were the coaches?
  9. Did the crack sports reporters that cover FU cover any of this or were they too busy shining Bohl's shoes (and head).
  10. Okay I think this troll has reached his quota of having at least three negative posts a day - but I guess that comes with having a perpetual inferiority complex.
  11. Wow - sounds like a moral victory speech - "who cares how you get there", "It's better to take the easy road". Those same trolls who talk about there only being 59 schools with Division 1 Hockey are talking out of both sides of their mouth if they prefer being in a six team basketball conference because it makes it easier to get beat in the first round of the NCAA tournament more often.
  12. None of these three are interested, they don't have the money, they don't have the state support. St. Cloud State was a few hundred student votes short of dropping football less than a year ago.
  13. Buy on 3-0 - It was the worst UND defense in years and they still beat Montana. Buy or Sell - Fargo U football team has a run in with the law before the UND football does.
  14. Any chance of having a slumber party in the Hoggsbreath?
  15. The Doppler Effect is "the change in frequency of a wave for an observer moving relative to its source. It is commonly heard when a vehicle sounding a siren or horn approaches, passes, and recedes from an observer." The Douple Effect is "the change in the frequency of sound waves from Summit fans in regards to their crumbling conference. It is commonly heard when a member school in the conference sounds a siren or horn as it recedes from the conference."
  16. I have no behind the scenes knowledge I just know who they offered membership to and who they didn't which seems to answer that question.
  17. Can you document that - all I saw was one newspaper blogger sounding off - was there more than that?
  18. Yah something changed - they wanted UND they didn't want su. The Big Sky said it chose UND because it was a like-minded institution of higher learning with similar goals to the other Big Sky schools. Not sure how anything could have changed that drastically in a few short years.
  19. How soon until we start reading how UND needs su in the Big Sky. I'm guessing that all the Big Sky concerns we heard about travel costs, time zones, losing midwest recruits, will all go out the window in a little while. Oh yah we'll also hear "How times have changed since they were rejected twice by the Big Sky" Karma is a great thing. Didn't it come out that su officials were a major opponent to UND getting into the Summit? Probably no pay back there as UND has more integrity than that. Thank you UND for waiting and "picking" the Big Sky instead of rushing and settling for the Summit.
  20. Just returned from Grand Forks (where I sold more than $700 worth of Once a Sioux always a Sioux Shirts - see Siouxpride.com). Stopped in a rest area near St. Cloud, only two cars other than mine in the lot and both were full of people wearing Fighting Sioux clothing . Took a chance and approached one guy and sold two more Once a Sioux always a Sioux shirts.
  21. I believe what Molberg said was "He chose UND" geez get over it he "Chose" UND over su, it's happened many times before and it's going to start happening many times again.
  22. If all I want is one upper level ticket is there any reason i need to buy it now?
  23. based on what we have expereinced with bison fans it won't go away - just gets less fact based.
  24. Officially - no. Unofficially it will never go away.
  25. Sorry you didn't "get it" it was a poke at the propensity of their team to have run-ins with the law - often criminals are asked not to leave the state and asked to wear ankle bracelets as trackers - hey it's a Sioux Fan site. I don't think UND has issues with getting players to work out in the off season or stay around campus. It's just not something we hear about.
