Even if next few seasons are rebuilding from the ground up we would have been looking at the same records if they would have stayed status quo - at least there is path forward. I wonder about the future of most mid major basketball teams for support. If you watch the road games their gyms are empty, when the older generation fans are gone there is no one to replace them. Think I read that every player on SDSUs women's team is from within 500 miles of Brookings - just sayin.

You are really armchairing this - it's considered the bid mid-major tournament in the country for atmosphere and venue.

this comes up every year and it never gains any traction. The main point being SDSU fans show up and teams enjoy playing in front of nice crowds and it doesn't matter to them if they are rooting for them or against them. Plus they make good money. Not going anywhere.

Tough to justify a five hour drive when it's always been one and done. I have enjoyed the times I have gone and UND has a nice social room to gather in and visit with others fans, player's parents and UND staff.

As we all know until UND can beat the SUs on a regular basis there is little room for error on the schedule every year. Last year's collapse is unexplainable, thinking the turn around could start right away this year.

Not too long ago there were two "Dakota schools" that wanted into the Big Sky and only one was chosen. I think University Presidents have some say in which schools are invited.
