  1. Where are you placing the blame?
  2. Gonna miss that family.
  3. In the overall picture of college hockey which of these are overrated or underrated: Culture Facilities Fan base Traveling fans Star players School location Private chef Puck luck Hot goalie Feel free to add on...
  4. It wasn't until one guy made it that way.
  5. This thread is about as political as it gets.
  6. It's put up or shut up time. Too bad there is no way for SiouxSports to be able to verify participation in the NIL so a badge/icon could be added to our profile. Would lend some credibility to discussions.
  7. A player who's willing to go after loose balls and rebound - something that has been missing on this team.
  8. It's obviously not showing the results you want, but It's also obvious that it is not a valid poll, it just shows a snapshot of people reading at the time with motivation to click a button. It will provide a little fodder for a future article I'm sure.
  9. Honest question - if the football team had the resources the hockey team had - would it make a difference (I think we could assume if they had those resources the staff would be upgraded).
  10. Done with him, he leaves after great support from UND his freshman year, sits for two years, grovels back, then leaves again. Really have to wonder what kind of an education he is getting for his future. Seems to be all about him.
  11. Predictable that there will be more players entering the portal - if it's not their decision they are probably not in any hurry.
  12. What about the NIT becoming a Mid-Major tournament? They probably don't have the vision for that.
  13. I'm willing to give the student athletes that were recruited in the past three years the benefit of the doubt - it's not like the cupboard is bare. Yes it will be hard to look past what has transpired with Bubba, hard to understand that the Administration either didn't hear the rumbles or didn't care about them. I guess we will learn from the portal what the current student athletes think about the extension.
  14. Based on the positive comments that were posted under the Twitter/Facebook posting of the extension I would say it will do just fine. I plan to support it because I want the program to be able to compete.
  15. Can we put to rest any thought that the comments and opinions on this site have any influence on the football program.
  16. I seem to remember he was from the south and his resume showed lots of recruiting experience. I was actually surprise he did not get the job - but quicklyi realized the deck was stacked against him for several reasons.
  17. A coach was hired to take over a struggling team. The coach who left met with them privately and presented three numbered envelopes. “Open these if you run into serious trouble,” he said. Well, after the first year the team was way down and the new coach was catching a lot of heat. they began to panic but then remembered the envelopes. They went to the drawer and took out the first envelope. The message read, “Blame your predecessor.” The new coach called a press conference and explained that the previous coach had left them with a real mess and it was taking a bit longer to clean it up than expected, but everything was on the right track. Satisfied with the comments, everyone responded positively. A couple years went by and the team continued to struggle. Having learned from his previous experience, the coach quickly opened the second envelope. The message read, “Reorganize.” So they fired key people and made roster changes. This was met with support for the effort. Another year passed and the team was still short on wins. The coach would have to figure out how to get through another tough off season. They went to their office, closed the door and opened the third envelope. The message said, “Prepare three envelopes.”
  18. Flip left because UND did not offer the grad school major he needed, easier to ask a little tougher questions when the reason for leaving is money. Agreed it's his life, his choice and we can assume conversations were probably already happening before the season was over.
  19. There were several players that could actually take over a game in The Summit, BJ was not one of them. However in the next level they probably aren't looking for that. As we have seen there is just as good of a chance he rides the bench. This is the new reality and it sucks.
  20. We have some sophomores and juniors who have been waiting their turn. Some are going to step up this year.
  21. Why would you think that? Please give your reasons.
  22. I would bet a majority of students athletes are taking online classes if they can. With all the academic support they have there is no excuse for bad grades.
  23. I heard the new OC has a page of plays that involve TEs (sarcasm).
  24. I'll assume it's just conjecture about Omot moving on based on how we have lost players in previous year, correct. Of course it could happen but he's got close friends on the team, he's getting his share of the ball, his family is within driving distance. Of course all that could mean nothing if NIL money was involved. I met his parents last year and they said he really liked UND. Of course there was no hospitality room this year so no chance to get together with anyone from UND. The reality is he's got talent for the Summit level. Also hopefully Tyree is sharing his experience about his decision with him.
  25. There will definitely also be some addition by subtraction - bank on it.
