Despite UND's struggles how stupid is it for the conference to schedule these games over Christmas break.

When a guy at that level of talent enters the portal someone has been whispering in their ear and they have their eyes on the next level.

In my mind the toughest issue facing UND's football future is that we are in a conference, by choice, that will perennially give us a top 10 SOS and every year we will be playing SDSU and NDSU (as will others in our conference). But you could take the top 20 schools in the FCS and almost every one of them would go 0-2 against that gauntlet. A strong schedule should help recruiting hopefully, because student athletes want a challenge. We finished #3 in the toughest conference in the FCS in four years (with what some would say are DII recruits). Not saying anyone should be satisfied with that - few are, but it's also not like we aren't showing progress. Having attended more games than the average fan over the years, it's quite obvious we need to develop our OL and DL. Skill positions and play calling are not the issue.

As we all know, it almost always comes down to the play of the lines. I once read that the worst thing to use to predict a football game is the team's previous game. Scoring 66 on a Big Sky team is predictable, giving up 63 tells me that the bizon roll (as much as I hate to say it).

So is Missouri State better off now than before Bobby? Imagine all the transfers with one year connection to the school wondering what's next.

I believe we were originally just Sioux then the word "Fighting" was added at a suggestion by SID Lee Bonet later in the history of the name. Dating myself.

I can't wait for our teams to be strong enough to justify spending four days in Sioux Falls, SD.

I'm sure they'll use the same protocol they use to "handle' all their unsportsmanlike conduct/late hits.

Not possible (assuming you were joking). Somewhat related UND owns the trademark to Fighting Sioux, but they do not own the trademark to Sioux, it is too general of a name.

We had the chance to vote that in, would have been unique, nostalgic, but the students didn't like it, the consultants knew if they put "fighting" in front of anything the students would go for it. Now students find it trendy and cool. Perhaps in the future we'll get a revote once everyone on campus is wearing NODAK clothing.

Gotta remember teams threw at will against us, thus the rushing yards statistic. Our pass rush was non existent, which was totally unexpected - that can change with one player.

Interesting to see so many fans tweeting on transfer portal announcements as they are made (not referring to UND fans, just fans of schools in general trying to influence). Actually it is an NCAA violation for a fan of a team to interact with a potential recruit (this includes tweeting). I suppose that is never enforced though - it would be impossible to monitor.
