I think people are forgetting that Notre Dame was in the old WCHA until the formation of the CCHA... or as Virg called it, the Can't Cut It Hockey Association.

I, for one, do not believe that the BSC is going FBS. But, even if the "rules" right now say they cannot, that doesn't mean it won't change in the future. Basically, you are so correct about the P5. I see it here in Fort Collins with Colorado State University. New stadium being built on campus. They're upgrading everything they can. $1 billion in construction debt, which includes athletic facilities. Over 35,000 student and President Tony Frank wants 45,000 students in 10 years. They want to go to a P5 conference so bad for marketing purposes. If they could, which I don't think will happen, they would ditch the MWC and leave the lower conferences in the dust. I doubt the P5 would even schedule the lower conferences in about 10 years. I envision 5-6 P5 conferences with 12-16 teams apiece in them...and a 8-16 team playoff for the top tier football championship. When, not if, that happens, expect schools like NDSU (Yeah, I used NDSU), UND, SDSU, USD, Montana, Montana State, etc to do whatever it takes to jump the new second tier.

I heard an interview with Prince about that sketch. He thought it was funny. He said it fairly accurate too. But, he said he wasn't that good a player...Charlie Murphy was just that bad of a player. Lol

Morrill Land Grant schools were a brilliant idea to give access to higher education for the average citizen. I don't get this thread. North Dakota has two fine state universities and a multitude of other good options for post secondary education. Nobody should consider shutting down either school in Fargo or Grand Forks. However, I do wonder about the future of schools like Mayville State?

Not surprising. Sad though. Here in Colorado, only two D1 baseball programs. UNC and Air Force. I enjoy a UNC game in a mildly better weather situation than North Dakota. But it's a daily decision to go.. I don't plan in advance.

I got an 8 times national Champs shirt through Amazon.com. Only says North Dakota. But, I saw one with an unauthorized Fighting Hawks logo saying Frozen Four Champs. No mention of Fighting Hawks on it.

I didn't want to overlook the contribution of Ralph Engelstad and his family to the continued success of North Dakota hockey and athletics in general. I seriously doubt that we would be in the position of hanging #8 and looking at next year as a possible favorite to repeat. Good family with good character that gave back much more than they received from the University of North Dakota. #23 forever!

Are we expecting a new logo to be announced sometime this summer? I've been scouring the UND websites and can't seem to find a definitive answer, if one even exists.

That's what I've been thinking. Berry seems to bond better with these kids. Hak is a great coach, but I wonder if Berry's personality works better with the college player of today.

I trust that Bubba will have the football team in the playoffs this year and keep the positive momentum going. They hockey team will always be #1 on campus, but there is room for more support with the other programs.

5-1 UND hoists their 8th championship. Q hasn't played the schedule North Dakota has this year. It's going to be the difference in this game.

Wouldn't it be fun to get a chunk of money, buy the broadcast rights to all FU sports, use some legalese and just...not broadcast their games.

I hope Wentz is the first qb picked in the NFL draft and he has a long and illustrious career. It's good for North Dakota. Everything else is just being petty.
