This game is not on DirecTV. It is on FCS, but DirecTV doesn't care FCS full time and DirecTV chose not to show the games this weekend.

Just last night and tonight, from what I've heard. DirecTV said they didn't have the bandwith to show the games this weekend.

My point was that we can't breath easy even if we sweep this week.

Remember, though, it's not all over after this weekend as far as the PWR are concerned. The games in the Final Five (and first round) affect things, too. That's not to downplay these games. These games (and next weekend) are games we should win, and need to win.

I absolutely know that, but since everybody here is nitpicking about every little thing, you said "fighting to preserve their proud name", and the fact is, their name isn't being taken away from them, and they have no legal ground to argue that somebody is required to call themselves "Sioux".

More like "anti-UND-sports-teams-using-the-nickname". Just because we want UND to stop using it doesn't mean we dislike it or think it's "hostile or abusive". We just recognize the impending damage that will be caused by keeping it.

Do we know for sure all the home games will still be available over FTA? I suppose if WDAZ is still producing them for local broadcasting that means the feed would be there, but if UNDSN no longer exists, then will the game actually get uplinked to the satellite for us to pick up?

As I said in another thread, this is the exact reason I never switched to DirecTV. Since it airs on one of their alternate channels I didn't think I could reliably count on the games being on. Turns out I was right.

Nobody is forcing them to get rid of their name. They can continue to call themselves the Sioux as long as they want. For the good of the university, though, we should stop using it as a nickname.

The game is still on FCS. It's just not on DirecTV. DirecTV chooses to use FCS as filler most of the time, which is why DirecTV subscribers get to watch the game, but they don't carry the FCS channels full time like Comcast does.

At what point will you accept that it is "the end", we've lost and that the name has to go? The rest of us have resigned ourselves to the fact that we've reached the end and it's time to move on from the nickname.

And I'm pretty sure most teams have already removed the logos and "Sioux" from their uniforms, with the exception of the men's hockey team, and they're not "breaking the law" by not having them on there.

Why do you feel they are legally and constitutionally obligated to do these things? Just because somebody likes something doesn't mean you are required to do it. There are plenty of TV shows that I've liked that have gotten cancelled. Were the networks being unconstitutional when they cancelled them?
