As far as I know (which, admittedly, is very little regarding the Target Center) the only hockey they've ever hosted is the Minnesota State High School tournament in 1999 and 2000. Beginning in 2001 when the X opened, the tournmanet moved there.

You can't honestly think you weren't going to blasted for posting that you are cheering for the Bison, did you? Why not just defuse it right off the bat by saying why you're cheering for them? There was nothing in your post that even implied there was a "whole story" so how could Siouxperfan have even known he should be waiting for more?

CenturyLink Center. Seats 16,680 for hockey. But I think if it's going to be held at a school's home rink then it should rotate between schools.

With teams in Ohio and Michigan, and the two teams in Colorado, it still leaves the Twin Cities as very central location. I think they're either going to have to go with something around here (TC) or have it rotating at various schools' venues.

Sioux vs. St Cloud State. Oct 4th, 2003 The Sioux were trailing 28-3 at halftime of Military Appreciation Day and the majority of the crowd had filed out. They're the ones who missed out, though. The Sioux came back to win 29-28 on a last second 50+ yard field goal.

This is definitely where the conference realignment will pay off. With the new conferences, they're smaller so it leaves room for new teams to start up and have a place to play. The way the conferences were before there wasn't really any room for anybody to move up.

Instead of getting all worked up about it, why not just ignore it and feel sorry for them if this is what they focus on leading up to a national semi-final game that isn't even against us.

Good passing and puck movement on the power play....finally. Unfortunately, no goal resulted.

So we ended up on the good end of this call, but what's with the back ref calling so many penalties now? There was another ref that was only 15 feet from the penalty and he didn't call it.

With as obvious as that kneeing attempt was, that should be a five-minute penalty.
