Back in my younger days I witnessed this with the campus police myself.

It's still on their site in the news/local section. With that said I don't find this so called story news. Drinking/minor charges are handed out every day and don't make it to the herald or this site. In many cases the young adult charged has a job (maybe not at the Dakota student) and they have family members (living in a small community you know someone that knows someone that knows them). Big deal. She shouldn't have resigned from the ds.

Have they announced total attendance for this tournament? I'd guess total tickets at maybe 38k. Less than 10k average per game total.

No we don't have a facility funded by our state to hold that many fans.

In order for this tourney to be anywhere close to the attendance of the final 5 HAD, every school involved will need to send many many more fans than they ever sent to the final 5.

Oh my gosh! This tournament could be better than the old final 5! Haha! Come back with total attendance for this tournament and tell us how well it compared to the past final 5 tickets sold.

It's really a crapshoot. Reality is wins against most nchc teams won't flip too many comparisons in und's way. Losses will really hurt. From here on out if und wins 3 out of 4 they might make it, yet they might not.

Hopefully you are right. I'm afraid with the nchc ooc record....winning 8 to finish the regular season, 1 loss in the nchc postseason could be the dagger for und.

Und hockey vs ndsu football....which has more worth? all you need to do is look at alums of both teams and add current NHL salaries of former und players vs current nfl salaries of former ndsu players. I don't have the time to check former Sioux in the NHL and their salaries but this is easy....ndsu has 4 former players that played in the nfl this season....with a cumulative salary less than $4 mil combined. Chris kuper alone has former ndsu'ers beat by himself. If und and the sport of hockey are so irrelevant, how can und's former hockey players make so much more money?

Based on this season's ooc record for the nchc....has und ever been in such a weak conference? Not trying to point any fingers at the conference.....with a better showing earlier on in the season und wouldn't be in this situation. But their conference's record vs ooc teams is terrible. At this point und is not a bubble team. If they win 2 out of 3 from here on out they will be a bubble team. Right now they are on the outside looking in.
