I'd be interested in how many other markets did an fcs practice game get shown over the Stanley cup playoffs.

Any business that chooses to pay to support this....I will go out of my way to never give them any of my business.

Obviously kvly is as delusional as ndsu fans. A practice scrimmage at ndsu is more important in nd than a Stanley cup playoff game....hahah

From the 13-14 season. A player that is still under scholarship currently. Oh because your spring practice game was on kvly yesterday the 14-15 season has begun. That's right. I learned yesterday bison football is bigger than Stanley cup hockey in nd too. Who woulda known? Delusional

Well I will say Sean responded to my email earlier this year regarding saul's gong show post game that pre-empted one of the outdoor NHL games. I won't say if it made a difference though. But if everyone is ok with watching a practice fcs game instead of a Stanley cup playoff game so be it. Kvly is sure hyping their coverage of this practice. I hope their companies providing advertising dollars are taking notice.

It is the way kvly will spin it. The bison spring game is scheduled to be shown on kvly at 1:30 pm on Saturday. Wings/bruins was supposed to be on at 2pm. Why kvly can't put this meaningless spring game on another channel is beyond me.

Ugh this one does sting. Outplay the goofs prett much the entire game and brillInt goaltending on both ends. Gophs score and somehow und has the energy to come right back and gaarder sticks one in 32 seconds later? But that's the only one they can get by:/ Game reminded me of a clean version of our old wcha games. Smart and defensive hockey both ways and teams looked very evenly matched. Just goes to show that in the one and done's anything can happen and this one could have gone either way. With that said lets go union!

And now I understand there are folks claiming that yesterday's car theft/kidnapping news reports as racist because the accused individual was identified as being an unknown Native American man on the news last night. It appears that some are really reaching to make some noise during timeout week. This is really too bad.

I think you misunderstood what I meant to say? I don't think any sensitivity course is necessary but it sounds like it's being forced upon these girls. A term that was used in another thread is a racist term though.

That is how this supposed sensitivity training should go. I'd bet the farm that there will be an agenda pushed though.

I'd have to disagree. Misguided fans that have used racial slurs definitely did not help the cause of keeping the Sioux name.

With all that said, I do think Kelley's words were a little too pc and I would agree that sign was directed at the NCAA and not native Americans or time out week. I don't think the sorority deserves sensitivity training or should be punished. At the same time the name is gone. Get over it. We are still cheering for the same team!

I do know the history of the fighting Sioux nickname. Before it was retired I was a strong supporter of it and I still appreciate that gear is still available. Don't get me wrong I still wear my Sioux sweater to every game I attend, when I travel, in the evenings, and weekends as well. I've done a lot of work on the area reservations the past few years though and have met a lot of people. Und's old nickname is not one of their concerns but is a Native American who was against the nickname and logo in the wrong for being against it? NO. That is that person's opinion. Is a supporter of the name wrong for wanting the school to keep it? NO that is that person's opinion as well. Most native Americans have much more bigger concerns and could care less what und uses or has use but that doesn't matter the name is gone and it wasn't because of a few Indians who were against it. It's gone because of the lack of a relationship built by und with the 2 Sioux reservations in this state. Like it or not that is the case. And when you drop the word Indian giver and say the Indians deserve the name for taking away the Sioux nickname....well sorry but that is a racist and uneducated comment.

Ok guys lets keep this civil and non racist....which everyone has done to this point. No need to come up with name calling. Would you say that to a Native American face to face? Remember the name and logo are now history and this wasn't the fault of any Native American. The reason it's gone is because the school failed to gain a solid agreement with both tribes. One thing I'd be curious of....how many Sioux fans on here would be seen decked out in Sioux gear on one of nd's reservations, excluding the casino? Rez cafe, gas station, grocery store, clinic, hospital, housing development?

Who exactly was offended by this banner? Where are those that are offended? Or is it insensitive to ask this question? Personally I'm offended by all this over-sensitivity.

Remember though ndsu has such a great track record with roi for the cost of schooling.
