  1. I wonder who is working on the requiem for Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving or who is writing the swan song on the de-funding of men's golf. Don't recall much of an obituary for wrestling back in the 1990s. Wayne's piece on the fall of baseball was pretty much a cursory one and done attempt ( I guess a program that had been around on again off again since at least the Phil Jackson era wasn't as deserving). It still puzzles me how one flash-in-the-pan sports program spins off so much angst and garners so much ink in relation to its meager draw at the ticket office and mediocre conference standings.
  2. Yes, he is a UND graduate. Walked the stage and got his diploma last month. Thanks for the memories, Drick, and best of luck to you wherever you go. It was a fun while it lasted, especially last year, though you did drive me nuts from the FT line sometimes. ( :
  3. Ran into Coach Pryor the other day. Said he's excited about the away slate and they should be announced soon. Really looking forward for the chance at some payback against Ol' Miss at their house. Also of note: said he really likes Merselli as she will be one to watch this year. Thinks she might be one of , if not THE best player that's come through UND. I agree. For a relatively smaller package, she's got a gun for an arm and can attack from back row at will. The other Serbian, Teo, also has got a serve that is one of the toughest to handle that I've seen in a while. Excited for what is to come!
  4. That is outstanding! In the past, marketing and promotion for season tickets were just getting rolling about now. At this point, we've already added an entire full section (field level to nosebleed) with new season ticket holders. Way to go, Bubba and crew! Can't wait for Mo State to waltz in on Sept. 9 for Potato Bowl. I hope they have visions of how we looked when we played them last in Springfield -- just before they get smacked in the mouth.
  5. Bakker was so underrated up until the end. To come in as a Euro-start player and crack our complex defensive schemes, to read opposing defenses and make the correct call, and be among the team leaders in tackles was nothing short of impressive.
  6. Dream Scenario II: (Bolded for emphasis: I'm not anointing someone early --- just dreaming here) Could this be the Joe Schobert that didn't get away (knock on wood)?
  7. Sorry old news. "UND Today" had this story back on April18. Herald playing catch up again. ( : http://blogs.und.edu/und-today/2017/04/getting-back-on-brand/
  8. Oh yeah, I think those listed weights for the guys still on the roster are not updated -- and low. We shall see.
  9. I've got every confidence in Rodgers and Disterhaupt, even if it's new ground for Jake. Rastas has always intrigued me ever since I saw his H.S. hudl video, and based on the eye test, he's bulked up over the last year. That said, I never thought he'd be in the potential 2-deep mix this early. An FBS school was going to try Nevermann out at LB before he bolted for RB opportunities here, so he must have some attributes that make people think the position might be a good fit. I hope he hits and wraps up like fellow Euro Bakker did. Finally, I hope that Dijon can get off the exercise bike and on the field and prove that he belongs here.
  10. Did you catch Coach Stevens giving it to that official? The only thing he didn't do was kick dirt on his shoes. LOL! He was pi$$ed!
  11. Exactly. I am starting to think that this group has become the new 2.0 version of SJWs in regard to the nickname saga. They're actions post new nickname are so similar to the "snowflakes" they railed against on the other side.
  12. Don't sleep on Aplin somewhere along that line.
  13. I think you missed the point. I took it as ... even though this certain team was sniffing around, they'll never publicly admit it, or worse yet, they will outright deny it. It's a character thing.
  14. 2016 Season UNDfan2013 replied to shep's topic in Football Grady was stringing the coaches along and wouldn't make the commitment. Coaches gave him every opportunity and now it is time to move on. August 4, 2016 1,946 replies Based on the above, I see your opinion of Grady hasn't changed in 9 months. What do the other parents think?
  15. Wait, what????? Is this a joke? Holy cow!!!!

  17. Nothing... the problem is the way you come off all condescending on folks who want to talk UND hoops, and then turn around and spew conjecture that has little to no basis in reality -- and then have the gall to perform Olympic-level mental gymnastics in an attempt to defend your BS. I used to think you were just being contrarian to certain folks just to get a rise out of them and the board in general (AKA trolling). Now I think it's pretty well settled you're merely grasping at straws and actually believe the stuff you spew. Kabish? Or is it Capiche? Now can we get back to hoops topics?
  18. A new kind of SJW fighting against something that originally came about because of SJWs.... and round and round we go.
  19. But what's the definition of "is"? That is the question......
  20. True, but identity of the poster who tried to save you from making a bigger fool of yourself than you did is widely known on here. I will leave it at that, and let your attempt to save face speak for itself. About Walter, I have a sense from talking to folks close to the program that he will take a major step up this year and be a nice contributor off the bench to start the year. About Brown, I saw flashes of signs of things to come last year and things that could easily be tweaked from him by working with coaches. I like his upside as the game continues to slow down for him and he speeds up his quickness on offense and defense I cannot verify for certain, but was told that Stewart's game was a lot like Geno's in the paint. He likes to slash through the lane. Not sure what he brings to the table from the perimeter. Should be a fun and interesting final Big Sky Conference campaign for the Hawks!
  21. You also claimed Shanks' alleged Mormonism was a contributing factor in him returning to Utah, despite a blood-relative cautioning you to shut your pie hole because you don't know what you're talking about. So, take it easy on those who take your knowledge with a block of salt.
