As far fetched as this stuff is at this point, it's still fun to think about 2 possible 1st round draft picks in 2018. https://tyrantscouting.com/2017/06/12/2018-small-school-draft-class-pre-season-big-board/

It was mentioned in another thread (2-deep defensive starters) that Flowers was no longer listed on the roster. FWIW, he is listed on what seems to be an updated 2017 roster. The same roster omits Poole, Tim Ryan (who we already knew bolted), WR Carter Blackwell, and walk ons: OL Devan Hunt, LB Matt Marler and Punter Jacob Meeks. It also doesn't include Walk-on Grafton product Zak Hernandez at WR. It should be noted that there are usually add ons at the start of fall camp and more add ons once school starts again.

Saw on the MSU Kitties message board that they are claiming JoJo Henderson has committed and is headed to Bozeman this fall.

Maybe the year he/she dropped out.... and the last time the Yotes won a game in the series.

Turrible .... just turrible! -- C. Barkley

That thought has crossed my mind more than once. Still our boys need to demonstrate respect off the field, and once in the dome, the utmost contempt on the field.

I can just hear the refrain this year if things hold the way preseason rankings are predicting, so far (which they won't): "Well, Montana and EWU weren't as good as they usually are this year." It seems UND is damned one way and damned the other.... either we don't play them b/c of the unbalanced schedule or one or both are having a down year. MSU also has been relatively down lately.

I hear you. One Fan board I have enjoyed lurking on the last couple years is the Yotes board. I think they are a very good up and coming Valley team (with a fantastic weight room-- just ask 'em). Bubba and UND absolutely should not and will not look past them or anyone this year. That said....it is interesting to read their board to get a regional FCS fan's perspective on us. Bottomline: Not a whole lot of respect for FH football, although, I assume the sentiment would be the same from us toward them. I also assume there are a lot of important changes they don't know about us and vice versa (if we're both basing what we know about each other on last year's game at the Alerus). Anyways. Enjoy. http://usdcoyotesports.proboards.com/thread/1852/2017-predictions

Always fun for all fan bases to poke holes in... I give you the Massey ratings: http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/fcs/ratings

Great points and better questions. You'd think our "hockey-only" rep would have translated to more butts in seats on game days. Or are we a "Men's hockey-only" school in these folks' eyes, and they are erroneously extrapolating that popularity to the women's game. I for one believe we are truly more than a one-trick pony and that football, for sure, and maybe basketball could eventually give pucks a run for its money.... not supplanting men's hockey on the throne but making the throne bigger to fit one or both of the others.

I wonder who is working on the requiem for Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving or who is writing the swan song on the de-funding of men's golf. Don't recall much of an obituary for wrestling back in the 1990s. Wayne's piece on the fall of baseball was pretty much a cursory one and done attempt ( I guess a program that had been around on again off again since at least the Phil Jackson era wasn't as deserving). It still puzzles me how one flash-in-the-pan sports program spins off so much angst and garners so much ink in relation to its meager draw at the ticket office and mediocre conference standings.

Yes, he is a UND graduate. Walked the stage and got his diploma last month. Thanks for the memories, Drick, and best of luck to you wherever you go. It was a fun while it lasted, especially last year, though you did drive me nuts from the FT line sometimes. ( :

They did.

Ran into Coach Pryor the other day. Said he's excited about the away slate and they should be announced soon. Really looking forward for the chance at some payback against Ol' Miss at their house. Also of note: said he really likes Merselli as she will be one to watch this year. Thinks she might be one of , if not THE best player that's come through UND. I agree. For a relatively smaller package, she's got a gun for an arm and can attack from back row at will. The other Serbian, Teo, also has got a serve that is one of the toughest to handle that I've seen in a while. Excited for what is to come!

That is outstanding! In the past, marketing and promotion for season tickets were just getting rolling about now. At this point, we've already added an entire full section (field level to nosebleed) with new season ticket holders. Way to go, Bubba and crew! Can't wait for Mo State to waltz in on Sept. 9 for Potato Bowl. I hope they have visions of how we looked when we played them last in Springfield -- just before they get smacked in the mouth.

Bakker was so underrated up until the end. To come in as a Euro-start player and crack our complex defensive schemes, to read opposing defenses and make the correct call, and be among the team leaders in tackles was nothing short of impressive.

Dream Scenario II: (Bolded for emphasis: I'm not anointing someone early --- just dreaming here) Could this be the Joe Schobert that didn't get away (knock on wood)?

Sorry old news. "UND Today" had this story back on April18. Herald playing catch up again. ( : http://blogs.und.edu/und-today/2017/04/getting-back-on-brand/

Any opinions on blow?

Oh yeah, I think those listed weights for the guys still on the roster are not updated -- and low. We shall see.

I've got every confidence in Rodgers and Disterhaupt, even if it's new ground for Jake. Rastas has always intrigued me ever since I saw his H.S. hudl video, and based on the eye test, he's bulked up over the last year. That said, I never thought he'd be in the potential 2-deep mix this early. An FBS school was going to try Nevermann out at LB before he bolted for RB opportunities here, so he must have some attributes that make people think the position might be a good fit. I hope he hits and wraps up like fellow Euro Bakker did. Finally, I hope that Dijon can get off the exercise bike and on the field and prove that he belongs here.

Did you catch Coach Stevens giving it to that official? The only thing he didn't do was kick dirt on his shoes. LOL! He was pi$$ed!

Exactly. I am starting to think that this group has become the new 2.0 version of SJWs in regard to the nickname saga. They're actions post new nickname are so similar to the "snowflakes" they railed against on the other side.

Don't sleep on Aplin somewhere along that line.
