That all you got!

Can NDUS file a countersuit saying this lawsuit is frivolous since UND has already been found to be Title IX compiant? Seems to me that these athletes just want to hurt UND for dropping the program, knowing they probably won't win. Some of them shouldn't have had scholarships to begin with, but that is another story.

What is the main reason baseball was cut?

You’ve got the perfect avatar.

I think frustration is what sums it up for most fans. It just seems odd that during college when you make lifelong friends that you would leave for a one and done scenario when professional opportunities wouldn't really improve. I certainly can see if you are looking at different educational opportunities, but you would think that a bonding experience such as the trip to the NCAA last year would really make leaving your friends for another school difficult without those opportunities. But as you say, hope he does well and is an impact player for the team he chooses, because that would reflect well on our level of basketball.

Sounds like you are a little too much of a Crandall fan to remain objective. If only a handful of people follow, then why do you think he is being picked on?
-
If that is the case then it isn't much of an argument he is making because people have been just as brutal about Tambellini as they have with Crandall.
-
Did I miss something here. Is he leaving to join the NBA? Huge difference. Don't think a lot of hockey fans would have the same feeling about Christian Wolanin if he left for another school for his Senior season rather than the NHL.

Just kind of curious how far up the all time leader scoring list Crandall could have gone if he stayed. True, he may open up some doors elsewhere, but years from now he would have a legacy and a place in the history of UND basketball to come back to year after year. It may not mean much to him now, but the older you get, that might be something to look back on.

I assume you also have an auto incorrect function that you use more frequently.

I would take odds that Chaves will change this with his first hire. We won’t know if he did it for PC reasons or if he truly went off of qualifications.
-
No, that was Marco Peluso.

I could see Blaisdell as well, and would guess Donovan will need another year of juniors as well. Is he planning on playing for Duluth East his senior season next year?
-
Based on numbers a lot of people were thinking that Jackson Keane would be the odd man out, so you never know. The coaches aren't just looking at numbers, in fact I would guess the coaches would laugh at all the speculation on these boards that are based on numbers and hearsay. We'll just have to trust their judgement. I guess time will tell how things shake out.

Then start ripping down the Lincoln Memorial and all buildings named after political figures.
-
Sure someone would, but then they would need to protest the National Park and everything else that was named after him.
-
Gotta be killing you that after your tirade about him getting fired, they come back and make the playoffs with a very young team.

So in your mind Joe Finley was blue chip and Tony Hrkac and Greg Johnson were not?
-
Which is exactly what I was alluding to when I brought up Joe Finley versus Tychonick or JBD. You can still have a first round draft pick that is a project that isn't expected to have immediate impact at the college level.
-
I don't exactly call Tony Hrkac and Greg Johnson watered down. There are many players that you heard about that would be the next coming at UND, meaning they would be difference makers from the start, and if you don't call guys like that blue chippers then guys like Gino and Dean didn't have many blue chip recruits. Like I said, by the 1st round definition, guys like Jonathan Toews wasn't a blue chip recruit coming into college because he hadn't been drafted, ditto Paul Kariya. They probably would have been drafted high anyway, but a lot of guys fall quite a bit in a year, and a lot of guys improve a lot in a year. I am sure both Toews and Kariya improved their draft status with their outstanding rookie seasons. With guys like Hrkac, Johnson, Troy Murray and Jason Blake (even though he transfered), there was so much buzz surrounding their first season that it is hard to consider them anything but blue chip, especially when you rarely had first round picks in college years ago.
-
Don’t think they would want to change the format unless the league pushes them, as it is a recruiting benefit to having destination games.
-
Involved, as in playing? The only way I see that happening is if they play a tournament type setting with UND guaranteed to play a big name school.
-
You show me where that definition is. Rocco Grimaldi’s name was thrown around as a Blue Chipper, and because he fell just short of the first round doesn’t change that he was considered as the elite. More people had higher hopes for him than J.T. Miller, and Miller was drafted higher because he fit more into the pro mold. I’m much more excited about Tychonick and JBD than I ever was for Joe Finley. By your definition Jonathan Toews wasn’t a blue chip recruit coming into college because he wasn’t drafted until after his first year.
