That would be my thought. UNC would be a close 2nd but I believe they had some off the court stuff as well this year. They have a good young men's teams and a solid women's program. Plus they have baseball

The fans of the other Dakota schools should change the way they look at things than. There is no reason those schools can't be viewed as piers of UND. All I did was select the top schools in the MVC.
-
He played at his best last season when the offense ran at a faster tempo. I'm not saying no huddle but when we needed to score and sped up the pace, he played really well.
-
The MVC has some very quality teams even after Wichita leaves. Illinois St, SIU, UNI and Missouri St are quality. Anytime you can have commonality with conference teams it's a good thing. I still don't see NDSU getting the invite alone so if they go, who goes with them?
-
NDSU by themselves is a long shot. Missouri St and Fargo as travel partners? A little shorter than Grand Forks/Greeley except no direct flights and a 200 mile drive to the nearest major airport. budget friendly trip?
-
With their remaining schedule they have a great shot at the conference tourney. All teams within 2 games of each other.

Can't wait to see this kid next year. If you could combine Brady and John, this is what you would get. I think he emerges as the lead back next season http://www.inforum.com/sports/4248002-johannesson-finding-his-niche-und

I don't think you have to worry about those surveys suggesting anything. #chicagopolitics

My feeling is NDSU is not in regardless. Unless there are a lot of "no's". Despite some on their board believing they are getting an invite.

When is Kolpacks article in Title 9? Kind of a hot topic in the state right now. Also, taken at face value and not digging deeper, this article sums up why FU fans should be a bit nervous about UND right sizing their athletic dept. Add up the numbers that UND cut and do the basic math. Now add in the different accounting FU uses and the story looks a little different. Rob Port mentioned on his blog he put in for the same info from NDSU as he wrote about UND. This is Kolpack putting the knee pads on to get ahead of what Port might write. Fargo media needs to grow some balls instead of play with them.
-
Get the knee pads on and control the message.

North Dakota is a major outlier for both conferences. Summit needs to hope to at minimum maintain the I-29 schools. Will be an interesting week.
-
That was my thought. The whole "hockey school with no women's hockey". Fargo has more girls hockey than Grand Forks. Plus they could use some money on the women's side.
-
Maybe they will get their facts straight this time.
-
It was about what I expected. I'm not seeing the same amount of social media posts I saw soon after the decision. Only the few that have direct ties to the program (which I am ok with). This was an easy target right away however I think the silence from UND has been a good decision. Kill any hope of life support by not saying anything to the public. May see a spike in social media posts if the USA women win the world cup but people will get on with their lives after that and realize they didn't care for the program to start with.

Honestly with March Madness and hockey regionals, spring football was low on my list. Years past you've had hockey regionals but spring practice was the 2nd story line. That's all there has been to cover and read about. Maybe get 5 stories in a row in the paper cause that was all that was going on.

He made the comment of dropping to D3 if we have the mentality of location being a factor. Like it or not it will always be a factor. Maybe not for UND but for sure for conferences looking at any school in the Dakotas.

What FBS conference do you see UND joining for football? Honest question. You compare WKU to UND, the glaring difference at the start is location. Like it or not it does make things a lot easier.

They could teach us a lot but they can't change our location.

How kids or schools use the graduate transfer rule as it was intended. Every grad transfer is leaving a developmental school

8 members currently on the US women's World Cup team?

Most just want him or anyone from the Herald to report the numbers.

209 people showed up to watch a hockey playoff game at this "hockey school". Dickinson High School got more than that when they played Hazen/Beulah. Does that make Dickinson a "hockey town"?
-
The final home playoff series averaged 294 people per game. I understand the opportunity but there was virtually zero support for this program when it mattered.
