When he signs his contract is he going to give $1 million per year to cover the losses?
-
I'd UND was a hockey school the support would be more than hundreds per game. UND is a men's hockey school.

Brad E. Schlossman @SchlossmanGF Jocelyne Lamoureux: "It's heartbreaking. The prez said he wanted national championships. It was in the future for UND women's hockey."2:50 PM · Mar 29, 2017 from Grand Forks, ND After this weeks events Jocelyne Lamoureux should know better than anyone that it's all about the money.

The same USD team you beat up by a whole 7 points? Great point.

More than averaging 300 a game for a playoff series. I don't know the exact number but that exposure is good for the entire university Ticket sales should be up next year, fan interest should be up, etc
-
They did inform those affected and it leaked. I find it hard to believe any student athlete affected, or their families would have kept it quiet if they were told two weeks ago.

They had their chance a few years ago. UND doesn't owe them baseball.

1.4 million watched UND play Arizona in the NCAA tournament. Who did Moorhead play 1st round of D2 tourney. Roughly 1000 total watched UND women's series vs Ohio St. Count me as one who would rather be D1 with the now correct size athletic dept.

A sport that gets 209 people to a playoff game is hardly big time. I'd say cutting a sport that costs nearly $2 million a year and investing a portion of that back into sports that people support shows an attempt to be big time. 209, playoff.

Isn't there some major renovating that needs to be done to the Hyslop pool in the near future? I thought I read that on here at one point. If so, that would have to be rolled into the swimming campaign.

Funny that large colleges like Michigan and Notre Dame choose not to fund women's hockey but UND is supposed to with next to zero fan support. 209 fans to a playoff game. 209. You should be embarrassed about that.

They made the correct decision. A school of UNDs size cannot and should not support 20 athletic teams.

I would guess a lot of universities would not want the true costs of sports to get out to the public. Very few sports make any money at all. I for one have no problem putting the true costs out to the public. If women's hockey stays, the expectations just went way up. It also makes me appreciate the success of some sports with the limited investment they get.

I think the season being over and any formidable low major big man is already signed or going to wait for options after next year. Anything that comes in will likely be a project.
-
settled just in time for United Airlines to be the next target.
-
He wasn't called offsides on the ice. In real time and the best angle straight down the line.
-
So those schools will be good that year? Than what?
-
State money will be needed for maintenance.
-
There was no angle shown during the live telecast that clearly showed offsides. If so snap a photo of your recording and post it.
-
Which camera angle did they show that clearly showed offsides?
-
The only other shot I saw was them trying to freeze frame two angles together. It did not show offsides and the announcer said twice, "that the picture on the right should be a frame back." Even ESPN couldn't get a solid angle.
-
Agreed. When the TV announcers have to keep saying, you have to back up the picture on the right to justify two photos that are supposed to be simultaneous, how is that indisputable. The officials have the same camera angles shown on TV.
-
I would love to see the tape of the indistputable evidence in the UND game. !@#$, ESPN couldn't piece it together all night using two still frame shots.
-
I think the that we were offsides on the overtime goal but no one could show me indistuputable evidence on that call. Even ESPN could not put video together the rest of the game to prove without a doubt there was offside. The announcer kept saying, you have to back up the photo on the right. WTF?

He showed up when it mattered
