All of our offensive possessions need to end with us kicking the football tonight. Can't turn it over but we can't go ultra conservative either. Players have to make plays. Defense experience has to make plays. Special teams- have to be 100% improved from last year and no missed field goals. Looking forward to seeing how the team progresses tonight.

Need any headcount? I'm in

Agreed. Bubba and Rudolph need to call the game to win. Like Richmond minus the double reverse. Don't be conservative. Last few FBS games have been pretty vanilla.

A QB making his first college start in a new offense with a inexperienced OL. That is about as ripe as we will find for a highly regarded program. What converns me is our OL. Still a question mark even with some experience. If we can physically play with this DL, we will be ok the rest of the year. Utes- 27 Hawks- 24

The option can still be an effective offense in college football. Colgate had a full fall camp to prep for the option. That helps vs. the teams that will have one week to prep for it during the season. Cal Poly hurt themselves with a turnover giving Colgate a short field for the first TD and also a 60 yard TD run for the second TD. Being down 20 isn't ideal for an option offense. I still think Poly competes well during the season. This loss will haunt them though.

We are hoping players don't have to share helmets this year. Thanks for the concern.

No NCC rings in '03 either. Didn't really lose any sleep over it.
-
Does being co champions of the Big Sky justify rings? I guess I have to disagree with some of you with your undies in a bunch. I don't recall getting NCC championship rings in the past on the school.

Open the door for graduate transfers with two years of eligibility remaining. Not a great thing for all but the top of the P5 and a recruiting tool for D2.

He was solid in backup duty last year. <-- sarcasm. In all seriousness I am happy to see the improvement you would expect. Competition is a good thing for all.

It's about time.

Nice games for the schedule as well

I'll take anything over 60%. 70% is not realistic goal.

Congrats and thank you to Craig and Kelly for the time and KFGO for increased coverage.

Agree with all of this. I love his leadership and at this level that is the most important intangible for a QB. Keaton played well last year when he had to and the tempo was picked up. He also managed games when he had to and tempo was slowed down. Only time he struggled was beginning of the year but one of that was the very, very young WRs.

As a junior at Dickinson High, Tyrelle Harris was one of the top football players in North Dakota. Ran a majority of their offense through him. Family moved back to Texas as his dad is with oil.
-
It's an interesting chart to look at. Lots of money in the state for a few of those years. That had to have helped. The economic conditions during '16 in North Dakota could not have helped. Oil was in the tank and Ag was Ag. Add to that one of the messiest elections in memory. All of those could be a factor. Just spit balling. With the recent messes UND has dealt with, those didn't help. Kennedy definitely has his work cut out for him to rebuild some relationships I imagine.

What a non conference schedule so far.

The loss of Harris impacts this game more than the addition of Carrington. You don't just replace an All-American corner regardless of who they may cover.

Yes. Not real uncommon at universities with a couple major sports.
