  1. You just help make one of skateshattrick's points for him. He said Parise is younger and you agreed by saying Vanek is six months older. Last time I looked 19 was, in fact, older than 18. I guess thanks are in order for clearing that up for us!
  2. I agree, Dagies. I think the big difference is Vanek is 6'2", 207 lbs. and Parise is 5'11", 180 lbs. Dare to dream, but can you imagine how absolutely fantastic ZP would be if he was the same size as TV?
  3. Greyeagle, you think Virg is biased? Nah, couldn't be!
  4. DaveK, With this statement I believe you have summarized why most Sioux fans have an inherent dislike for the Gophers. It is a similar mentality if you simply replace Vikings with Gophers in your sentence.
  5. I am sorry, but this has turned into a ridiculous thread. They lost. They gave up three goals with Brandt in net, but only scored two for the entire game - the result, a loss and out of the tournament. After watching Blais rotate goalies without rhyme or reason throughout the season, it was no surprise that he made the move that he did. Jeez, a few games back we were singing DB's praises for doing what few other coaches dare do and that is pulling his goalie with several minutes left against Denver. Back then it paid off and UND won. Against FSU, he makes a move that really had NO impact on the outcome of the game and the fans dwell on it??? I think we can agree, folks, UND had bigger issues the last two months than the goalie swap in the regional game.
  6. It made no difference. UND only scored two goals and Brandt had let in three so even if he stays in and shuts down Ferris in the third, it still ends 3-2 for Ferris, which is still a loss. Placing any blame whatsoever on Siembida is wrong. Of course I understand all the "what ifs" and realize that people will say Siembida letting in the fourth goal killed UND's momentum, but to that I say, what momentum? Regardless of momentum, UND did have an outstanding third period, but they still didn't score, and neither goalie can be blamed for that. Bottom line, they didn't score enough goals to win and that has nothing to do with goaltending.
  7. Nate Nomeland, a senior goalie from Princeton, is from Fargo.
  8. Cornell won 2-1 in 2 OT's. Michigan up over CC 4-3 with about 10 minutes left in game.
  9. Anybody else find it ironic that bert lambasts Sioux fans for living in the past while he continuously runs a clip of the Gopher championship goal from LAST SEASON!!! BTW, bert and KGB are using the same clip. Does anybody else think they are also sharing a brain? Greyeagle, I know you know bert and KGB. Although it is clearly not your responsibility, would it possible for you to have a talk with your boys and encourage them to be a bit more respectful on this board.
  10. If you are sorry to bring up, then why did you? Did someone have a gun to your head? I find it ironic that both you and VD_Transplant take shots at Parise, but not until AFTER the Gophers beat Ferris! It is simply hilarious that your team is going to Buffalo, but you are both still fixated on Parise. I acknowledge that Vanek is a very good player and worthy of all the awards he has received. I even find him enjoyable to watch even though he mostly plays only half the ice. I also wish Potulny success. Being a RR grad and having the oppotunity to watch him play high school hockey, I find his improvements remarkable, but he is clearly a very good college goal scorer and leader. I think Paul Martin is a great defensemen and that Lucia is an outstanding coach. But, as for the Gophers, I simply cannot wish the team success solely due to their fans, such as those named above. For me they spoil a beautiful game and have tarnished this, what was a once a very enjoyable, message board. Unfortunately, I think that is their purpose.
  11. You're telling us that he says the things that he does while being sober? Wow, that is hard to believe! Everytime he tries to say Lundbohm's name it sounds as if he just got done finishing off a twelve-pack!
  12. Do you really know how to be honest?
  13. I think that was very evident long, long ago. The problem is we are buying into it. We need to ignore him. If we do, sooner or later, he will go away.
  14. Yeah, that is why we have all heard of you! BTW, what is your name? Do you really play hockey or do you just act as one in theater class?
  15. According to today's Herald, Ryan and David Hale will be a defensive pair this weekend, but David will only play 10-15 minutes - every sixth shift or so. At forward, Marvin will be on a line with Canady and Palmiscno and Connelly will not play. With Marvin at forward that also would indicate that either Fylling or Genoway will not likely be dressed. No other line information. BTW, the Sioux will wear their green jerseys tomorrow.
  16. I took your advice and just called Midco. The operator I spoke with said she was just handed information stating that the game will now be televised in GF on channel 23 at 4:00 p.m. Friday. I am assuming it will go out over the Midco network. That is great news for Sioux fans, but it doesn't do much for those of us in Fargo who do not get Midco.
  17. I agree, Dagies. As of now, it is only scheduled to be on the Ferris cable network. USCHO, insidecollegehockey.com and the NCAA site are all saying the same. It would be a shame if those of us without tickets don't get to see the game.
  18. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/section...chedules_tv.htm As of now, all regional games, EXCEPT UND's will be televised. Anyone know if this will change?
  19. Check this link from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=16122
  20. From today's Herald: It appears that junior defenseman David Hale will return to the Sioux lineup this weekend. Hale, who hasn't played since late January because of illness caused by a kidney disorder, has practiced with the team the last two days. "He's ready to go and feeling well," Berry said. "It's a matter of him getting his legs and getting some conditioning in. You can tell in practice this week that he brings a lot to the table. Practices are more intense with him out there."
  21. Any news regarding television coverage?
  22. I have never been overly "swift" on Sunday mornings so I am not surprised that it went over my head, but lumping in with Siouxrock, that is simply not right!
  23. I made my predictions this morning and they mirrored yours exactly. They are strikingly similar to USCHO's predictions with and without the use of the bonus criteria. We could be wrong, but it looks like UND may very well be playing at Mariucci.
