I find it funny that NDSU people are expressing outrage towards the media for Mr. Chapman's resignation. I think the media has only skimmed the surface in regards to the controversies surrounding Chapman. So I won't be surprised if there is more info just waiting to be revealed on Chapman's mishandling of money.

I'd be embarrassed if I was a NDSU fan seeing other fans throwing stuff onto the field. It's amazing seeing so many NDSU fans jump ship cause of one struggling season.

I've always wondered about this to. So I took the liberty to contacting someone who would know the answer. So I sent an e-mail to Pat Sweeney who I must say has always responded to my inquiries regarding the FSSN broadcast. Great guy! Anyways here is his response as to why there is no penalty clock:

I gotta say it was a great reading all the threads that were made after there loss on Saturday. I mean just pure comical. The sky is falling indeed for them . Gotta say they had it coming though with there pompous attitude and smack talking. Karma is a @#$%& !! Anyways though I surely do enjoy beating USD. Even though I always enjoyed playing Nebraska-Omaha more. Better rivalry IMO. None the less great win to open the season at the Alerus. GO Sioux!!

The only thing I don't like on the jerseys are the horizontal lines. Way to damn many and it just looks weird(of course that can be attributed to being so use to the diagonal). Just doesn't look good overall on the uni's though IMO. Other than that there okay. The away greens are more acceptable though.

I was mad because I had to work for a bit while the game was playing. Missed the first 2 periods. Ended up getting to see most of the action(6 of the 7 goals). From that period I gotta say the Defense looked pretty good out there and it looked like by the time the 3rd period came around that some of the lines were beginning to click and have chemistry. Aaron Dell looked very good in net. And I certainly wouldn't mind a tandem. GO SIOUX!! Bring on Merrimack

Hi, I am looking for 2 tickets for the Saturday game against Denver as well as the Saturday game against Wisconsin for both respective weekend series. Got Friday tickets for both but was unable to attain Saturday game tickets when they went on sale to public. Not looking for anything specific in regards to seating area. Upper or Lower bowl it doesn't matter. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Good news to hear! If Ron His Horse is Thunder was re-elected as Tribal Chair any chance or hope for retaining the nickname would've been gone. While this may be just a small piece of the puzzle this can definitely set things in motion in regards to UND retaining the "Fighting Sioux" nickname.

Which I hope will end with a Sioux sweep of the Beavers at their new rink I've always enjoyed the BSU//UND games as BSU has always proved that they could play right along with us. And the past couple of seasons they have been pretty darn close to beating us.

How are the playoffs looking for NDSU this year? Didn't get to listen to the game since I was at work but was in shock seeing the final score. Hopefully the Sioux can turn things around and make some changes for the better.

Normally I'd go ahead with making fun of the DU fanbase but then I remember that they are on the endangered species list. But hearing this doesn't surprise me at all. George Gwozdecky has always had a thing for UND. I mean Dasher Dancingx2? It also doesn't help that we tend to humiliate them more often that not now-a-days. At the end of the day it's always George and the Funky Bunch that are making @$$clowns out of there program with what there saying and doing. Don't even have to discuss the crap Denver players were pulling on the Friday game of the series at the REA since we were ripping them a new one.

Is that a bad thing? I like the fact that Hakstol & Co. are willing to return the favor and play a series at there home rinks after a team comes and visits us. But UND seems to always return the favor to the non-conference opponent that comes and plays against the Sioux @ the REA. Much better than Golden Halos to the East of us who don't play a nonconference game outside of there arena(not counting the MSU, Michigan games they play away every other year).
