By looking at the last (thoughts, articles, and predictions thread) @MTU series thread, those with SiouxXtra did get the webcasts at no additional charge. So I'm guess it'll be the same this year. Won't know for sure until they list the games on the SiouxXtra schedule.

Not to make an excuse but it is much different playing an opponent at home rather than away. Definitely got the advantage when playing at home. Michigan Tech is definitely top heavy on offense. If we can contain their top line this weekend the Sioux can definitely take four points from them. Their top line has accounted for 11 goals, second line has 2 goals, third line has 1 goal and the fourth line has none(info from Brad Schlossman).

Nope but it is pretty pathetic to see so many empty seats. What can be blamed for it? Being in transition? Playing unfamiliar opponents? Hockeytown first?

And luckily your not playing BSU this year. I'd say that is fortunate with the way your team is playing so far this season. But then again considering it is blasphemy for Minnesota to play non-conference games away from the Mariucci maybe the Gophers would have a chance if they did play each other this season since they'd play them at home.

I wouldn't be nervous. The Sioux have not been playing good football in the last 2 games. If they show up it definitely could be a good game. If the same team that played Sioux Falls and SUU shows up it could be ugly.

The "F the Gophers" chant isn't cool at all. And what made it worse was how many times they did it during the weekend.

I'm pretty sure the webcast is for free. I highly suggest connecting the webcast as soon as possible because there is a limited amount of connections available if I remember correctly. And there will be a lot of Sioux fans taking use of the free webcast.

I forgot what college hockey website I saw it on but I think they described Eidsness' role pretty well. Basically said that he doesn't have to be an all-star goalie but play good enough not to lose the game since he's got a good defense playing in front of him and hopefully a forward corps that will score more goals than the other team.

Yeah I'm not sure. Either that or they just didn't have any intentions of making it statewide and FSSN on there part made deals with other affiliates. I did send an email though and this is what I got: I don't like the chances. However, those of you who live in Minot please drop Midcontinent an email requesting they air the games this weekend! Increase the chances at least. Edit: Now according to Brad S. that the games will be aired across all FSSN cable systems including Midcontinent. So maybe the customer service person simply didn't know? Who to believe...

Midcontinent is utterly retarded. There only having the game air for residents in Grand Forks? I'm from Minot and on the list that FSSN released it shows 2 very little and minor cable companies located in Minot will be airing the games. Almost everyone in Minot who has cable is subscribed to Midcontinent. Very stupid.

Very unfortunate, my wishes to Jason Smith and his family. FHG is right, every team has fans that should be discarded. I don't think it is fair to lump one incident as a representation of an entire fanbase. That is ludicrous but it is often done anyways. And while some of you share your bad experiences with Gopher fans I'll give a positive. I've been to two UND//UMN series at the Mariucci. Both times I had a great and pleasant time(albeit could be due to the Sioux sweeping one year and then taking 3 of 4 points). I had very good discussions with the Gopher fans I talked to. Of course there was the occasional exchange of razzing but that was it. Only time I did have a problem when I was there dealt with college students. And personally, they can be lumped cause most of them are d-bags.

Good series to have Aaron Dell start a game. GO SIOUX!!

Also I forgot to say, how about that Sioux Penalty Kill? Another bright spot for this Sioux team. Have not allowed a PP goal yet.

well it was very evident. The boys were simply gassed. I'm fine with 3 of 4 points. Would've enjoyed another sweep over the Gophers though. GO SIOUX!!

When he went out to corral it and missed it he took himself out of play. So when it squirted through his arm(I believe?) it was an empty net. Then again doesn't help he got knocked over by a Sioux player(??)
