  1. Must we all forget that watchmaker49 is the know it all when it comes to all things UND? Shame on you cutter for not agreeing with him even though it is obvious that watchmaker must've been watching some other game.
  2. Wow. Speculation is fun. Pretty sure the talk was they brought Saunders into the fold because it was a foregone conclusion that Dell was leaving after the year. Especially since he almost left the year before. Hakstol needed to bring a goalie in to help share time with Gothberg in the event that Dell would leave early. I'm so sure that Dell is just shaking in his boots of the prospect of less ice time. Funny thing is, all UND players know they have to earn the right to be in the playing lineup. If Dell stays, it'd be good to have Saunders and Gothberg around cause it'll push him to maintain being a solid/dependable goalie.
  3. I find it hilarious that Bison fans still have their panties in a wad over this. I can't believe this is still being discussed! Why should I be surprised though? Bison fans love talking about UND. NDSWho?
  4. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe everyone else will believe you. The amount of butthurt coming from you is hilarious. Get over it, so what if the NCAA doesn't even care enough to know which school specifically won the FCS football title. At least they shipped it to the state of North Dakota and not South Dakota. They did one thing right.
  5. Lol, I find it quite amusing. Poor NDSU, they win a national title and the NCAA doesn't even care enough to know which school won the FCS championship! My guess is they forgot and figured they had a 50/50 chance of shipping it to the correct school. Woops.
  6. That's about right for when the Twins played at the Metrodome. It's about a 15 minute ride from the mall to the dome. To get to Target Field though which is further away, it can be about 45 minutes or more.
  7. You're kidding with this statement right? They don't even compare. You're trying to play up the fact that your team has to play on an NHL ice sheet is as big of a disadvantage as it is an advantage for the Gophers to being playing in front of a partisan crowd? At least you spiced it up a bit, most Gopher fans usually just give the "the Xcel isn't any advantage it's a neutral playing site and it's located in a whole different city" schtick. I think I would've understood if your Gopher players never stepped foot or skated on an nhl ice sheet but the Gophers play many teams that have nhl sized ice rinks. Skating on smaller ice sheets isn't some foreign thing to them. If that's the case Gopher players who turn pro sure must have a hard time adapting.
  8. THN's Ryan Kennedy tweeted this today: About an hour later a person named Neate Sager who is a junior hockey blogger for Yahoo! Canada Sports tweeted that Jordan Schmaltz is fully committed to coming to UND: Maybe it's just me but I find that Ryan Kennedy tweet to be bothering. Sure, Patrick Sieloff could've just been joking but I just find it uncool that this Kennedy guy would ask the player who just broke his college committment that question. It would not surprise me if this Sieloff kid did try to recruit Jordan. CHL teams have shown time and time again they will play dirty and do anything to get a kid to renege on their college committment to play in their league.
  9. Kings vs. Devils. It's the match-up I wanted to see. While I love the run that the Kings have been on...I'd rather see Parise and Zajac win the cup. Go Devils!
  10. The skirting around in a circle that UND and NDSU officials have been doing is getting really old. Both schools need to just ****ing man up and get the games going again. PS I actually agree with Taylor on playing every other year. I think it'd make the games even more hyped up since they won't play each other every single year.
  11. Devils defeat the Flyers 3-1 to move on in the playoffs. Gotta love it.
  12. And apparently the NCHC is close to signing a deal with the Target Center to be the postseason venue. If so, that is a bit of a letdown. There are other options that are better alternatives to the Target Center.
  13. That is highly debatable.
  14. Ding Ding Ding. Nothing like keeping your draft stock high by padding your stats against lesser competition.
  15. I wonder if Mr. Wilkie reads up on SS.com and saw my comment wondering if he'll ever end up coming to UND. I like the reassurances but just like Brendan Lemieux, I won't believe it till I see them donning a UND jersey.
  16. With the USNTDP's track record, I wonder if Chris Wilkie will ever end up playing for UND? While our chances of getting Nick Schmaltz are iffy, I'm still glad he turned down an offer to play for them.
  17. Yeah, I wonder if Koules didn't expect to see a whole lot of ice time playing here. Our forward depth for next season is pretty solid. Guessing he'd probably get more playing time at Medicine Hat than here.
  18. I sorta wonder if the de-commitments of Miles Koules and Stefan Matteau has lessened Seth Jones' interest in playing for UND? I think that if those 2 would've honored their commitments, the chances of Jones coming here would've been very high than compared to now.
  19. No surprised at all. His progress/development seems to have cooled off. He was really up and down playing with the USNTDP. And considering he seems to be really good friends with Stefan Matteau...definitely saw it coming. Honestly, those kids who play for the USA hockey program aren't really reliable until they show up to college.
  20. I was just going to say that as well. I was disappointed that he didn't reply to my response to that very comment he made. Self-proclaimed Mole isn't very a good Mole. Hopefully, he is able finish college and excel at something else because providing inside info on UND hockey players isn't one of them.
  21. The Habs fans over at HFBoards are pretty darn pissed that Kristo will be staying for his senior season.
  22. Indeed, it does. It went from being a supposed choice of Everett or UND to neither but instead a whole new choice in Portland? Ah well, at least he didn't pull a JT Miller on us. Landing Ian McCoshen would make me feel a bit better on losing out on the Setb Jones sweepstakes. Lol.
  23. No offense but once again I'll ask the question for Bale. What was Minnesota suppose to do? Notice the singular use? Everyone knows that they could've changed their own rules but to do that, that requires more than one school agreeing on doing so right? You very well know that besides Minnesota, the other Big Ten hockey schools were all for forming the BTHC. I got a good laugh when I saw people saying Minnesota should've/could've threatened to leave the Big Ten to stop the formation. With that said, I still get a good laugh at people trying to spitball Minnesota. I may hate the school but they handled the conference shakeup crap pretty well.
  24. I'm not that pessimistic in regards to the Schmaltz's. Jordan has already spurned multiple attempts by Windsor to have him renege on his commitment to UND. I like the chances of Jordan showing up because of family history with UND.
  25. No kidding, It's hilarious to see him act like a d-bag calling opponent recruits overrated etc. etc. What is even more funnier is that when a Gopher player turns out to be grossly overrated(Ambroz, White, etc.), he gives the excuse that people shouldn't have had such high expectations on them. He's already deemed Forbort overrated as well Schmaltz.
