Considering we lost to BC 6-2 earlier in the season, I think even if we did beat Minnesota in the regional, we would've gotten shellacked again by BC just like Minnesota is getting rocked. With that said, we still had a bloody good season. Minnesota did too. BC is just way better.

^ Exactly this. I won't be rubbing it in but now they know exactly what it is like. They give us a lot of !@#$ for our inability to beat BC, now they can no longer talk. It's just amazing how BC just continues to match up so well against Western teams. PS Minnesota starting to goon it up. Yeah, you heard that right!

All I can say is, Minnesota fans can't talk !@#$ to us anymore when it comes to playing BC and getting thoroughly dominated.

BC scores again. Wide open net after Patterson is taken away from the net. BC is steamrolling Minnesota now. 4-0 BC almost end of 2nd period.

BC scores. Up 3-0 now. Minnesota made a mistake and BC capitalizes. Game has not gone Minnesota's way. They can't buy a goal. 3 goals on 12 shots.

BC scores right at the start of their PP. BC up 2-0. @LetsGoSioux!: I wish both teams could lose. I think every fanbase that isn't Minnesota or BC will be cheering for Ferris State.

Oh, no doubt. I was more so ribbing for the fact that there has been very little talk about the games going on today. Milner for BC has been saving their hide. He's made a couple amazing saves that could've been goals. End of 1st period. 1-0 BC.

Got confused for a second and thought this wasn't a thread for NCAA scores. BC up 1-0 against Minnesota.

I can't see Forbort going pro just yet, as evidenced this season he has a lot of room to develop and improve his play. He was really up and down this year and needs to become more consistent. I think Los Angeles won't mind having him stick around North Dakota a little while longer so if Derek does leave, I think it is because he chooses to leave. Nelson could leave but if he stayed another year, he could potentially be a Hobey candidate. Same goes for Kristo if chooses to stay though out of all he is the biggest flight risk. While Knight and MacWilliam are potential flight risks, I just don't see it happening. They just give me that impression that they eat, breathe, and live UND hockey. I can see Knight being elected captain for the 2012-2013 season.

I stick with what I said but would be very happy if either Union or Ferris win the national title over BC and Minnesota.

Yeah, only Minnesota stands in BC's way for another championship. No offense to Ferris or Union but if BC beats Minnesota, they will have no problem winning the title game.

Considering we got 2 pucks past him, I don't think Schloss will go there. Fact is, Gophers defense overall played a hell of a lot better and showed up for all 60 minutes of the game. Couldn't expect lightning to strike twice and see them collapse defensively.

"blah blah blah blah" We get it Hakstol haters, you want him gone. You guys/gals say the same !@#$ every year and/or when the Sioux are in a rut yet are always silent when they are playing good. I can't wait till Hakstol wins his first title just remember the repetitive crap that is spewed when our season is cut short.

The fact we even got this far is surprising itself. Minnesota has a good team this year and showed that they could dominate us more often than not. It'll be interesting to see how they do in the frozen four. This season had its ups and downs but a good season none the less. Thank you Blood, Lamoureux, and Eidsness for 4 years of fighting Sioux hockey. Now the waiting game to see if any underclassmen leaves begins.

I think it is possible and I hope the Sioux upset them again. I am attending the regionals this year and their arrogance/cockiness is through the roof compared to what it's been last few years. Reading and hearing their negative comments how we suck etc. just makes it ever the more sweeter if UND gets a chance to spoil their season. Gotta see if the Gophers can finish off BU first though.

That and the UND game starts at 12:30pm. Not going to have major conflicts with a timeslot like that.

Actually glad I switched my ISP to Midcontinent this year since they have ESPN3. So I'm quite happy not having to worry about being able to watch the UND game(s) in the event a local station or regional station doesn't pick up the games(s).

That changed starting last year. ESPN Syndication only allows in-house affiliates to pick up the games. In North Dakota, mostly all of the local ABC affiliate networks picked up the rights for the game so ND folks could watch the regional games.

The amount of butthurt coming from Gopher fans as a result of last nights game is absolutely enjoyable to read. I actually want to see another rematch against them just to see the Sioux pull off another upset against them. Yeah, the Gophers are a more talented team but our boys got heart and spirit to grind out wins. Where's GFG? I'd like to hear his thoughts on the game. He's one of the better Gopher fans alongside Sagard and FHG.

While I'm still enjoying this win, I just wanted to mention that I absolutely hate Kevin Gorg. Thank god they stuck him between the 2 benches during the game so we didn't have to listen to his homer !@#$ too much. Casey Hankinson(sp?), who replaced him in the booth to provide color commentary was excellent. He was very fair and was complimentary of the Sioux even when they were down 3-0. He had a lot of respect for UND and he was a Minnesota player to boot. Also enjoyed seeing fans of other teams cheering for the Sioux when they started the comeback. Sure people hate the Sioux but more people hate the Gophers.

That was a very entertaining OT even though neither team scored. Up and down hockey! They'll be going into a 2nd OT.
