Awesome!! The e-mailing and calling was worth it!
-
lmao , Wow. No way will they get those kind of plays against the Sioux. I thought maybe Yale was a fast team but looking at those highlights. Nothing special.
-
I e-mailed Midcontinent Communications. Their response: So to all who are Midcontinent subscribers, e-mail them! Alternative if FSN doesn't purchase the syndication rights.
-
I still blame Brian Lee for every defensive lapse that leads to an opponent goal.
-
I really don't see anything wrong with the posts commenting about having no home ice. At the time North Dakota was in 6th and the chances of getting home ice was grim. Luckily, CC and UMD started to tank and as we all know everything started to click for UND. I'll admit I was quite pessimistic back then. And I'm not ashamed of it either. I continued to watch every Sioux game no matter what. Does it make me less of a fan?
-
Your totally right. That's what I get for not looking closely at the schedule. Might not hurt to contact FSN by e-mail trying to encourage them to pick up the games. That way they'll know there is interest even if the Gophers aren't in the tournament.
-
Since the game(s) are also available via ESPN Syndication it will only be a matter of days before FightingSioux.com announces that a local provider (most likely Midcontinent) will pick up the game(s) and we'll be able to watch the game(s) on the Midcontinent channel. There is also the chance that Fox Sports North might purchase the rights to the games but I'm guessing no since the last time they did, they did it because the Gophers were also in the NCAA Tournament.

Bring on Michigan and BC. It just makes the road to the Frozen Four that much sweeter. Plus I despise Michigan and it'd be good to exact some revenge on BC...for ONCE!! Selection Show is at 10:30am CST on ESPN2
-
w00000t!!! GO SIOUX!!! The Sioux persevered the Husky onslaught despite being obviously very tired by the time the 3rd period began. This team is clicking and doing the right things and honestly I'm glad we're facing the likes of Michigan and BC. It'll make the road to the Frozen Four just more sweeter!

We won't have WCHA refs for any of our games in the NCAA Tournament. It'll always be non-WCHA refs.
-
The Sioux just needed to settle down. And they did exactly that after SCSU went up by 2. There playing Sioux hockey now. GO SIOUX!!
-
I know you could listen to it via KFGO.com but you need a Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Does the iPhone allow that? I know on my Motorola Droid I was able to download the plug-in.

BC scores. 2-1 lead. But Maine scores to make it a tie game again. 2-2. It was 26 seconds after BC scored their 2nd goal. This game is crazy lol.
-
Maine scores 24 seconds later. Tie game 1-1. 7:30 left in the 1st period.
-
BC scores on the PP. They are up 1-0 vs. Maine. Seems to be a lot of penalties being taken.
-
There playing right now. And if BC does win, I think your right that it'd actually be better for UND to lose. It'd increase the chances of being placed in the St. Paul Regional with I'm assuming Wisconsin.
-
I'm hoping Maine wants to win it more so than BC. I believe winning against BC is Maine's only way of making the NCAA tournament. If BC loses and the Sioux win, we get the #4 seed and most likely placed in the St. Paul Regional with St. Cloud. BC being the #6 seed will still be placed in the Worcester Regional.
-
If BC loses to Maine and we win against St. Cloud we can be #4. What has been said is if this happens, BC will drop to #6 and UND/St. Cloud will most likely be put in the St. Paul Regional. The other scenario is having us still in the Worcester Regional looking like this: 1. BC 2. UND 3. Michigan 4. Alaska Needless to say, I'll be cheering for Maine and hoping the Sioux can pull off a 3rd win in three days.

Hunter Bishop, sophomore for Ohio State and former Fighting Sioux forward signed a 2-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens. http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=521828 Thought he deserves an honorable mention.
-
Gosh maybe the Sioux are a bunch of hacks, thugs, and goons? In seriousness, glad he was okay.
-
The stat was that it had been a 20-game drought for Trupp until tonights goal.
-
Honestly, I think Gregoire could make the jump. He's been a complete player for us. Whether on the PP, PK or 5x5. But I don't mind at all if the Islanders want Gregoire to play another year at UND.
-
Sweet victory! Little payback for UMD bouncing us in the Final Five last year. How this game was won was almost identical to how UMD won against us last year in the Final Five. They won last year by scoring a shorthanded goal then an even strength goal and then capped it with a empty netter. Sioux almost did the same thing but just didn't get that ENG. Quite ironic. Bring on Denver, LET'S GO SIOUX!!!

Before FSSN invests in a PP timer they should put up a counter for how many times Hakstol smiles or shows any kind of emotion.
-
Has this dude ever watched a hockey game in his life, let alone one with the Sioux playing? Hakstol rarely shows emotion. And the most famous time that Hakstol did show emotion, he did so by flipping a ref off.
