So they don't have an FBS game scheduled for 2015. If they get a call from a Power 5 team offering them upwards of $500,000 in guarantee money, it'll only cost them $125,000 to get out of the game with us. This agreement is ridiculous on so many levels, I'm left in awe of NDSU's negotiating tactics.

Yeah if I recall they ramped up to 63 pretty quickly. I believe they went from 36 in the last year of DII in 2007 to 50 in 2008 which was the first year of DI and then to the full 63 in 2009. But the way last season unfolded, one would think we were still playing with only 36.

Not sure if you are being serious or not, but North Dakota is fully funded with 63 scholarships.

Sometimes I'm not sure what is worse: an NDSU football fan, or a UND Hockey Fan.

Of course I will support UND in the game. I expect UND to win the game because that is what I expect every week. Unlike a lot of fans though I view a National Championship as the crown jewel, while many fans view beating the Bison and Gophers as the ultimate accomplishment and are willing to take it in the shorts to accomplish that. Think about it. NDSU will travel to Weber-freaking-State, but not to Grand Forks. And apparently many fans and the UND Brass are OK with that because as long as we are playing the Bison that is all that matters.

And in this particular rivalry, we just became Delaware St. to their Delaware.

I wish all the "stakeholders" and everyone involved with the University would put this much passion, energy, and focus into beating the likes of Montana St. and EWU. Then this program could really go somewhere again.

Those are teams we would go to when we need a "buy game". UND just announced that when NDSU needs a "buy game" that we are for sale.

This is very disappointing. I am fine with playing FU again. But to agree to two consecutive games in Fargo is ridiculous. What's next? A splash page at UND's website proclaiming NDSU as the top university in North Dakota? Might as well play all the other sports in Fargo too I guess. What a slap in the face to the Grand Forks community and UND Alumni.
