Not sure I even believe he is on the "hot seat" right now. Given what is returning next year, a .500 record would actually be quite impressive. A single digit win season may influence Faison to not renew his contract when it expires. Is that after the 2014-15 season or the 2015-16 season?

Thanks. Never went to the Final Five before but one of the reasons I but tix for the NCHC tourney was because I knew I would get to watch UND play two games regardless. I remember quite a few people didn't care for the idea of the 3rd place game when the NCHC announced the format. Looks like it worked out for the best.

So does the fact that the NCHC has this 3rd place game help or hurt the Sioux in getting in? What if we would have lost to WMU? What if we would have just been done after the Miami loss?

He was on the radio with Izzo and Kolpack last weekend and they specifically asked him about USD and Smith said he would would take a hard look at that opening. He has a desire to be a head coach again. After the interview Kolpack said he was of the opinion that Saul would be hired away after the season and Smith would be the next NDSU coach.

It just kind of irks me whenever Huff gets thrown under the bus whenever he has a bad game. He's the best player to come through here in over decade, and probably one of the best we've ever had here. Every player has limiting factors, and he is no exception. I've seen several other players on numerous occaisons on this year's team and over the course of the last four years lose their minds out there on the floor as well. I don't think we are going to be better next season because Huff, or Anderson or Webb for that matter won't be on the squad anymore.

Combined with the quality play that Mitch Wilmer was providing at the end of last year, I really wonder how different the outcome last season could have been with a healthy Brekke and an eligible Traylor. Brekke's situation is really unfortunate. It seems like offensively gifted post players rarely land at this level. He was one of them. I wish him the best and hope he has or will recover completely.
