  1. OK, I think we need someone other than Tillman fielding punts......
  2. Defense playing pretty well. Offense is terrible, particularly the O line and QB.....
  3. 24-7 Pats at the half. Vikes actually playing better, but two big plays have Pats in the lead......
  4. Just about to head to my first NFL game. Lifelong Patriots fan, looking to right the ship against the Vikes!
  5. Through three games, I am encouraged overall by the play of the defense. They have given up chunks here and there, but for the most part they have tackled better, given better effort, been more aggressive, and been more opportunistic. Given the lack of talent on the offensive side, I am not all that surprised with how bad they have been. I will subscribe to the notion that the personnel is not meshing with the scheme they want to implement, particularly the offensive line. And Mollberg is not getting it done. I understand that a big part of his struggles stems from the poor play of the O-Line, but on top of that it seems he is just really struggling with the mental part of the game right now. I wouldn't be so quick to make a change if we didn't already know there is a guy behind him that played better last season. This wasn't just Mollbergs third start, it was like his 8th or something. The sample size is pretty large at this point and it doesn't look good to me. So far this year I am most disappointed with poorly this team is doing the little things. I really thought that would be the area we improved at right away, that this new staff would clean up in a hurry. The penalties this team is taking are ridiculous, like the ones we took on if I recall correctly, on back to back possessions when we punted and didn't give the guy room to catch the ball twice. The way Tillman fielded punts in the first half last night was ridiculous.
  6. For once, Oxbow and I are in complete agreement......
  7. We played SDSU in basketball twice. Played Idaho St twice in basketball before we joined the Big Sky.
  8. Pryor is saying on the coach's show that he'd like to see the game be played home-and-home every year. It would make sense financially.
  9. One of the reasons threads get closed is when they veer off topic. IMO, that thread, at 145 pages, of which not many of the last few had much of anything to do with the future games between North Dakota and NDSU, had become a train wreck. That's why it was closed. The future series is a valid topic and I see there is already a new thread for it, and that is great. As long as it stays on topic and everyone is civil towards one another it will remain open. The problem with banning all the "trolls" is that it seems a good number UND fans on this site consider anyone with a different view point a troll. All of the moderators do our best to police the threads that we read in a manner that we deem to be in good taste. I may tend to let a lot of stuff go generally unless things start getting way of topic or personal attacks and/or profanity become a problem. Obviously the Sioux fans on this site probably outnumber fans from other schools by 10-1, and honestly for every NDSU/UM/UofWhatever fan that I would consider tossing, their are probably 10 Sioux fans I would consider doing the same to. So yeah, I may let NDSU fans get way with some sarcastic and fruitless comments, but not nearly as much as I let Sioux fans. But I didn't become a mod to become popular with the members of the forum. I do it for the money and the women.
  10. Obviously, our performance against Robert Morris doesn't really instill a great deal of optimism regarding the outcome of this game against Missouri St. Having said that, it seems some people view the Bears as some sort of top echelon FCS program, when in fact they've had 4 consecutive losing seasons and only 3 winning seasons in the last 10. I don't think they'd even be considered a "middle-of-the-pack" MVFC team. This is the type of game that I expect North Dakota to win, whether we are up or down.
  11. JUST A REMINDER THAT THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD IS BIG SKY NEWS & SCORES
  12. I think this thread has run its course...........
  13. Yeah, I see there QB throws it pretty efficiently and he is their second leading rusher, having nearly as many carries as their top RB. Should be quite the challenge. Need to keep him in check.
  14. I still can't quote on Internet Explorer
  15. Look. We get it. You are not a fan of UND football. You've spent the entire week making sure we are all aware of it. Now stop trolling. It is a violation of the terms and rules of SiouxSports.com.
  16. I think Simmons showed promise. Will Ratelle played well. I thought we got into the backfield at times and that was nice to see. He'll we even got a sack. A couple years ago we didn't get a sack until something like game #4. I like the fact that the corners weren't playing so soft, except on that last touchdown. I was pleasantly surprised by the kicking game other than the Punt TD of course given the fact that there were true freshmen handling it. Looks to me though that both lines were really overmatched. Also, through my eyes, I don't see a lot of talent at ANY skill position and that includes QB. I'm really surprised this game got as out of hand as it did. Can't wait to see how they handle Robert Morris.
  17. Well, Bubba said all he is concerned about with this game is that UND does the little things. Unfortunately, not many little things were done very well tonight.
  18. The play of the O Line and D Line is worrisome, but not surprising. They were getting some heat on the Spartan QB in the last series. That was nice to see.
  19. Looking back through the annals of North Dakota's football history, I find it kind of interesting prior to Mussman's first 3-8 season in 2010, you have to go back 21 years to find another losing season for UND, which was 1989. Makes me think it is possible to turn this thing around fairly quickly. Hell, even Mussman went from 3 wins in 2010 to 8 in 2011.
  20. Who likes Montana's chances against Wyoming? Potential upset there I think.......... And it is on ROOT on Saturday. As far as other Big Sky games tonight: Idaho St. @ Utah (PAC-12 Networks) Cal Poly @ New Mexico (Altitude & Fox AZ) Weber @ Arizona St. (PAC-12 Networks)
  21. 13 North Dakota 10 San Jose St.
