  1. Calcaterra was a big part of the win tonight. Hitting those free throws down the stretch was huge. Rotate Calcaterra, Traylor, and Salmonson and they will be alright down low.
  2. BIg Sky #2 pounds Summit #1 Big Sky #3 pounds Summit #3
  3. You might need to re-look at what type of basketball NDSU plays. They are getting absolutely lit up this year on defense (79 pts/game) and they don't dictate a gawd damn thing. UND set the pace of the game and they played right along. The thing I found surprising was down the stretch when the lead was 9-11 points, they didn't have anybody who could score and cut in to the lead. Nobody took over and hit three's, drove and got fouled, etc. Nothing.
  4. Hey Saul, you shot 36 free throws. All during regular game time, not fouling at the end, etc. UND shot 41 and 10 of those came at the end of the game due to fouling. I would go as far as to say they would have lost by even more if Braun didn't draw 10+ fouls.
  5. The game is on NBCSports. The exact same thing as CBSsports. Seriously people.

Highly doubt it. If they are "older" that means they already used up 2 or 3 of their FIVE years they get. That means they would have 1 maybe 2 years left after they sit out the mandatory year. I guess they could go D2 and play right away. I don't believe it at all. I think some freshman and second year guys may quit/transfer but not older players.

I dont know how many times people have to have it explained to them how "offers" work these days. We did not offer 80+ players. Stupid.
  8. Don't. Learn how to ignore Dan and things go better.

Its because he hasn't offered Wilkie yet and that was Kotelnicki's territory.
  10. I heard he hasn't contacted any of them.
  11. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, got a bite!

Who said they are doing it "right"? Is there a right way - I don't know. But I know there is a stupid way. Question: who is going to "sell the school, facilities"?

So you "retain" them under the premise that they are going to be permanetely let go once the new staff is in place? I guess they may find a guy who would sign up for that, maybe.

    2014 Recruiting

Once again, that is done over the phone/email by maybe 1 or 2 people, tops. Nobody will head out recruiting. Kids aren't stupid, they will wait and see who the new coaching staff is, if they are not committed anywhere else and still interested.

No he isn't. To have a few hang around and hold down the fort, yes. You do not send them out recruiting when they have just been fired. WTF are you thinking? Let's send our fired coaches into a living room to try and persuade a player to come to a school where that fired coach will never coach again. What a selling point - great representative for the university! One or two guys might get asked to hang around to answer phones, etc but they do not head out recruiting. No way in hell.

    You are highly unintelligent.
  17. True, and it happens at every school. Even yours a few years back.
  18. I think the whole "Big Sky recruiting area connections" thing is overrated. If there is one thing we have found its that the majority of the California kids that UND has gotten did not pan out, due to attitude, lifestyle difference, etc. They really don't recruit anywhere else in "Big Sky" country. They dabbled in Washington, Nevada, and Oregon but nothing big. Get a guy who can win battles in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. Then reach out further for skill positions.
  19. Line is down to 19.5

    Sit tight.
  21. Definitely a drawback, no doubt. But, if UND wants to take a chance on a rising star, he would be the one.
  22. There is a guy in Lubbock who is eerily similar to Bollinger and seems to be doing OK.
  23. USD was picked third in the Summit preseason poll. Nice win for UND.
  24. Walker was far from a leader. He was terrible at center and many of the sacks could be attributed to their disfunction along the line, which starts with calls. When a center gets benched, its usually for a pretty good reason.

You really go out of your way to pump up Wilkie don't you? Interesting.
