Faison and Kelley are both out in Davis.

Remember the days when we could just watch it on TV....sigh. All these apps and premium apps - webcasts, confusing as hell.

I would have to guess that with the state of the program and rumors of the staff being let go that they are not offering too many kids right now. Recruiting is probably the last thing on their mind this week. If he gets an offer it will be in December from the current staff because they were retained or the new staff, once they evaluate all the existing offerees/targets. Does Wilkie have any past injury issues?
-
Huh?
-
Not true. You don't need to look far to figure out where opposition is coming from. Does Faison need to pick up the phone for a full-conference invite? No. Because Patty isn't on the other end and she is the only one that matters. UND could have joined the Summit a long time ago if it really wanted to. Has he tried to get UND baseball into the Summit? Yes.
-
Correct, I pretty much lumped it all together.
-
Every baseball team/coach in the Summit wants UND in but the commish and a certain AD (hmmm) are among a few that won't let it happen.
-
Douple has already been calling UND. He knows he F'ed up the first time by not getting the MVFC lined up, then had to react to UND's move by taking the Yotes.
-
Douple already has been calling UND. He knows they are in trouble with baseball and every baseball coach in the Summit League wants UND in for obvious reasons. But, it would have to be for the whole package and he cannot deliver that alone.

We learned from the best.

You realize the SoCon is complete dogsh*t now, right? And the CAA has been down for 2-3 years now, bunch of pretty good programs but no Top 5 teams. If you want to explain your post I would like to know what you meant, maybe I missed the point?
-
I would love for SDSU to back their way into the playoffs and then get sent to Eastern Illinois for a rematch. That garbage secondary would get destroyed.
-
What you said is so stupid I don't even know where to begin. You have no grasp of reality or the MVFC's recent playoff history. Personally, I can't wait for annual Big Sky/MVFC playoff matchup where the might MVFC defense gets 50 hung on them. Bison fans are so myopic they don't remember what happens to the rest of their conference in OOC play.

Why do I have a feeling your nephew doesn't play and you think he should? Anyway, UND suspended true freshman Cam Kuksa the first game of the year for a minor. Also, the University administers the drug testing and several players have been nabbed in the past. The UND Football staff has absolutely nothing to do with drug testing. They get a hold of the players and tell them where to be and when. Whenever you see a release about a suspended player, anywhere in the country, that says "violation of team rules" - you now know what probably happened. As far as the defense, how you can say they are not improving is beyond me. PSU averaged 530 yds/game and were shutout for almost three full quarters until they blocked a punt and got setup on the UND 15. Are they even close to a "good" defense? No. But they have improved. Anybody who watched the first four games and then watched the last four would agree. RIght now, they are playing better than last year's defense.
-
Like I said, no. There are better players than him that have committed to NDSU and also better players still out there. Can't go strictly by offers. I would be much more amped up about Stick than Menard. That being said, UND needs to get more commits rolling in. 2-5 season sure isn't helping but hopefully things pick up in the next month.
-
Not really. I think you guys are going to see some "shrinkage" when he shows up on campus. Not 6'2". Would UND have loved to have him, yes. But NDSU has much better commits than him.

Interested to hear what parts of football you found to be very difficult during your freshman season?
-
By the middle of the season, when the coaches tell the freshman to "get outta here, you're done for the day", you run like a madman to the locker room. Personally, during my freshman year the only thing I was "worried" about was where I was going to get my next beer.
-
I should clarify my point was about the football end of things, as I pointed out. But, if you want to dive into the sociological aspects of it then I guess it can get tough for some. I was talking about football. I personally found it to be by far the easiest year - football wise. Years ago freshman did not attend position meetings, in-season, or special teams meetings. That is a big amount of time. 'They also got out of various conditioning, although they had morning weights. Everyone has their own opinion on what is stressful and what isn't.
-
I think I know. Its the easiest year. Since when do they go to position meetings as freshman? Do they go to special teams meetings also?
-
I guess it is good that he cares but he needs to realize he is a redshirt and will never have an easier year of football in his life. No meetings, leave practice early some days, Fridays off on away games. Enjoy it and be excited for your time to shine - spring ball.
-
Fair enough. That is one side to it, no doubt. Probably could be considered a downfall of anonymous message boards.
-
Tell you what, let's go the other way and hear why you think Coach Mussman should keep his job, why people should not be calling for his head, why it should be left up to B. Faison and not fans, and anything else you have to say. Just get it out now and then you don't have to constantly say why everyone else's complaints are wrong or unneeded. Tell us the other side. You may bring up points that people have not considered.

Lennon, Bubba, Bollinger, Hedberg. I am not sold on Deboer either. Look what has happened to Sioux Falls now that they have gone D2. The lost to Mary! Recruiting restrictions, Academic restrictions, Scholarship limits all changed their entire program and now they are average at best. Granted, he is not there now but I find it funny he got out of there right before they moved to D2. Coincidence? IMO, he realized it was no longer going to be a free-for-all with the above mentioned rules/restrictions. Also, at SIU he has been a huge bust. Their offense is awful, year in and year out.

For some reason UND has lessened their recruiting in South Dakota, a state that was very good to them for many years. Wonder why?
