A comment on SFI from those guys said they heard season ticket sales were up around 700-1000 from last year. They still have the month of August left to sell, too.

I think what you guys seem to be missing is the point. The point being when you don't win NC's, your attendance will be back in line with what it was before. It is proven on past history. You are on top and flying high now with casual fans loving the product. They will go away immediately once the team loses 3-4 games in a year.

Its called front-running. Their board always is more active in general but things are up now.

Have you seen the rest of the schedule? Its already the hardest schedule in the Big Sky, maybe even the country. The other OOC games are SDSU and Montana and you are complaining about actually playing an easy FCS team.

It is probably too low. They gave up 500+ yds/game on average last year.

The Central Arkansas buyout was 150k, IIRC. Faison did that one. Buning screwed up the Idaho State buyout.

Not saying it was a huge deal but for a team to not even acknowledge their own players only a month or so after committing a serious offense is something, IMO. It was about the most a program can do to an ex-player. It was more than NDSU did to their current players when they torpedoed that ballot measure.

On top of that, from what I heard they were not even acknowledged at the annual team banquet after the season. The charges happened after the season but before the banquet.

There is that "Bison Pride" that was instilled in them over the course of their careers. They really grew as men during their time in Fargo.

Wanless did not like the travel costs that came with UND joining the Big Sky, and I cannot blame him. He loves UND and was a great AD. He was very good with the budgets and always kept UND in the black, as I am sure he is doing out there. I do not know if he officially voted against UND getting in but I guarantee he brought up how much extra is was going to cost his athletic department to have to travel there.

Maybe so back then but they sure didn't go out of their way to get UND's baseball team in the Summit this past year.

While we will all agree that Williams is one of the best at the FCS level, we are now talking about the NFL. I have an honest question for any Bison fans lurking on here: Has he ever gone against a top-flight FCS receiver or good FBS receiver, where it was a one-on-one battle and he showed he was better? The MVFC is not exactly known for its receivers so inturn he is better than the guy he is going against pretty much every game. Wondering if he has ever been challenged to where scouts can draw comparisons, etc.?

They interviewed 5 schools and NDSU was not one of them.
