  1. http://www.brewcityb...-hopefully-more I wonder who the others are? Siouxfan is saying Robert Morris, Belmont and Northern Kentucky... http://csnbbs.com/sh...d=631333&page=3 I read somewhere that Belmont told the Horizon, no. I can't remember where, as there so much info out there. Edit... Man, I was beaten to the punch by seconds.
  2. I have been reading blurbs about Oakland and possible others heading to the Horizon for the past few months. Along with that there is conversation on various fan boards about possible new members to the Summit to cover the loss of Oakand and maybe others. I am still surprised to see how many think that UND should join the Summit. Gaining entry into the Summit League is similar to getting your first job out of college. You are excited to be chosen the first few days, but then you are already looking for the door out to a better opportunity. The Big Sky is a destination conference that has not had near the turnover rate the Summit has. The Big Sky has football, whereas UND would have to gain entry into the MVFC to make the Summit decision work. The Big Sky, at this point, is stable, unlike the Summit. Why would UND want to take a step down in conferences and join a shaky conference?
  3. UND is the new #1 in hockey attendance and it isn't even close.... UND tops nation in men's hockey attendance - UNDSports.com: Official Web Site of University of North Dakota Athletics 2012-13 Average Attendance Leaders 1. North Dakota 11,592 2. Minnesota 9,950 3. Wisconsin 9,521 4. Nebraska Omaha 7,233 5. Colorado College 6,979 6. Boston College 6,384 7. Minnesota Duluth 6,206 8. Michigan State 5,869 9. New Hampshire 5,521 10. Michigan 5,357 Best fans in the country.
  4. I would have loved having Wilmer back for one more year. He really came into his own by the end of the season.
  5. And we should have a national database for all of these background checks, so one day it will be real easy to pull out a list and say give us your guns.
  6. I saw where Grand Forks is getting close to breaking a 109 year old record for the longest winter. It made me think back to a time when it was very hot in GF. I was a senior in high school... https://weatherspark...a-United-States Boy did we have fun that spring.
  7. I think even with the addition of Oakland the Horizon is on the edge. Especially if UIC leaves. UIC was viewed as the one being picked before Loyola was eventually chosen.by the MVC. They may not get in this year, but what about next?
  8. IUPUI doesn't play baseball and with Horizon baseball numbers on the edge, they need to add someone who plays baseball. . I read recently where IPFW is moving basketball back on campus into a gym that seats less than 1,900. I don't think the Horizon will be looking at them, even though they do have baseball. I know that Western Illinois doesn't fit the "big city" profile, but they do play baseball, they are not too far out of the Horizon footprint and with football firmly planted in the MVFC, that is not an issue
  9. Science is easy if you are at the University of East Anglia. The number don't fit..... make them up. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/6679082/Climate-change-this-is-the-worst-scientific-scandal-of-our-generation.html
  10. Why are you commenting on a 11-year old thread?
  11. Do you mean to tell me that this has happened before?? http://www.globalresearch.ca/global-warming-or-the-new-ice-age-fear-of-the-big-freeze/30336
  12. Wait a minute. Aren't you the one who has stated over and over again that you are a UND fan. Your arguments are all out of the FU talking points.... awful basketball conference... nowhere to go.... geography.....blah-blah-blah. You can now lose the facade. It wasn't really working anyway. UND like being in the Big Sky. There may come a day where there will be reason to change that, but that day isn't today, tomorrow or the near future. For FU the day they may want to leave the Summit may truly be tomorrow. No get in your MG and head back to FU land.
  13. Fullerton needs to take advantage of the situation and bring in FU and Denver. FU, is the 2 time defending national champ in football and would be travel partner for UND. There would be less chance of leakage to FBS if you keep the North Dakota and Montana schools in one conference and keep them happy. Denver, great academic addition and travel partner for UNC.

  15. With all of the tension between the legislature and the NDUS right now, can you envision the conniptions coming out of Bismarck if either UND or NDSU announced they were looking into FBS?
  16. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/394604/group/Sports/ Brittany's blog... http://loveofhockey.areavoices.com/author/brigefroh/
  17. I don't believe so. Johnny Boy is right that NDSU has been good for many years in T&F. UND will be closing that gap with new coaching and the new IPF coming on line.
  18. Very cool.... http://www.burnmagazine.org/
  19. The trigger for UND would be in the Montanas. As has been stated in this thread already, UND needs to keep building great facilities for all of athletics and putting resources into football.
  20. I'm guessing that you are related to him.
  21. I rest my case.... http://bisonmedia.areavoices.com/2013/03/26/bison-video-blog-fcs-to-fbs/
  22. It struck me once when I saw a picture of him sitting next to Dom.
